Pizza & Pasta is one of those places that reminds you why some neighborhood spots never lose their quality. I first started coming here well over a decade ago, and I recently stopped in again and ordered the Chef's Special pizza. It was just as good as it was back then. I later found out why. The same guy who made my pizza years ago is still there making it today. Same people, same skills, same results. I also realized something I somehow never noticed before. They use a real wood-fired oven. Once you see it, everything about the pizza makes sense, especially the crust and flavor. The original owners are still involved, which explains the consistency. That kind of continuity is rare and it shows. They also have a bar with alcohol that you can sit at, which is a nice bonus and not something you find at every mom and pop pizza place. It's in a small strip mall and easy to overlook, but it's absolutely worth seeking out. If you care about quality and places that stay true to what they do best, this is one of them. read more

Came here with a friend for the first time ever last night and actually loved it! For the table we ordered the antipasto salad, two pizzas, and mozzarella sticks and drinks. The room was semi full, but still pretty quiet. You could easily hear without yelling. Overall, everything was so good and I love that the restaurant uses the sweet sauce for the pizza and the crispy pepperonis, and knowing how local it is, I will definitely be back! This places turns into a very poplar bar after hours. they have affordable drinks and the locals/bartenders are usually super welcoming and nice. Appetizers came out quickly.. yes the Asparagus Oreganato was on point. Entres arrival were somewhat staggered, but considering the extensive menu, very acceptable. My Calamari Fri Diablo was way too mild but super fresh as was the appetizer. Pasta was perfect. Glad I indulged in dessert.. The tiramisu with espresso were delightful. If you want really authentic thin crust bar style pizza,homemade pasta and good food at reasonable prices then look no further to this place. It's very different then the other Pizza and Pasta restaurants. This particular restaurant is a Mom and Pop type business owned and run by Amparo ( mom) and Jairo ( son) for 20 years. Jairo is very friendly and has a nice rapport with his customers. They do an amazing job keeping their food and drinks very consistent and high quality. Everything is homemade from scratch and made on the premises by Joe the "pizza guy." You can definitely feel the love he puts into all his food and that's what makes this Pizza and Pasta Restaurant different from all the rest. My bartender Lisa was great. She was super friendly, always smiling, and she made great drinks. Her recommendations for Appetizers and Pizza choices were spot on. For appetizers I ordered their Buffalo Chicken Wings. They were a nice size, cooked perfectly and had great flavor. It came with carrots and celery and blue cheese. The second appetizer I chose based on Lisa's recommendation was their homemade Fried Cheese Ravioli. They were light as a feather, and crispy on the outside. The marinara sauce was a great accompaniment and had lots of flavor. ( I highly recommend this appetizer.) For my entree I chose a personal size pizza. Again, based on Lisa's recommendation I decided to try their Chef Special Pizza. It had splashes of fresh tomato sauce, garlic, and fresh ricotta cheese. The crust was very crispy, just the way I like it. The ricotta and garlic combo was perfect together. My BF chose their personal sized Plain Pizza. He likes to order his pizza plain and feels that the true test of a good pizza. He was very happy with his pizza and ate every bit. Pizza and Pasta is a casual family restaurant with a full dining room. The bar is right off of that but separate. We chose to sit at the bar. I met alot of regulars who swear by this place, and I can see why. If pizza is not your bag, they have a full menu of Sandwiches, Salads, Soup, Burgers,and Hot Entrees. We had a surprise birthday party at Pizza and Pasta this past Saturday, the 18th. The owner, Amparo, did an outstanding job putting all the details together...from the decorations to the food. The food, I might add, was absolutely delicious...pizza, salad, bread, chicken marsala, eggplant rollatini and penne vodka. The birthday man was blown away with the entire celebration as were the guests. I highly recommend Pizza and Pasta whether you are looking simply for a drink, maybe a meal or hosting a party. This has been a family favorite of ours for over 20 years! It has a nice, friendly, family atmosphere. You can watch your pizza being baked in a wood burning oven. We usually get the asparagus oreganato as an appetizer. All the dishes are fresh and delicious! One of our favorite main dishes is the pasta carbonara. The eggplant Rollatini is another favorite. The prices are very reasonable. You can play soft tip darts in the back of the restaurant. There is a sports bar area, and on big game nights, there's always an enthusiastic crowd. Focaccia Pizza and Pasta is a hidden gem! The Chicken Francese and Chicken Parmesan are second to none around. Must try the 'mozzarella en carozza' if you like garlic and cheese, it's amazing! Buffalo wings (and dear hubby is an aficionado!) are as close to perfect as he can imagine! And lastly, let's not forget the superb crispy thin crust pizza. I highly recommend Pizza & Pasta for your next party. My family has been frequenting the restaurant for decades. I called Amparo about hosting my daughter's 1st birthday party for 85 people. Right away, she was accommodating of such a large party. She allowed me to pick the menu as we went and guided me in how much to order and what their best sellers are. Working with Amparo was so easy. She was always available to answer a question or even invite me in to see another 1st birthday party's set up and decor a few weeks prior to our party. She asked to be involved in the decor for ours and I didn't have to do or add anything. Amparo is so talented, made centerpieces with photos of our daughter and made a banner with her name. She fully embraced our theme from me only sharing a photo of our invite. The execution of the party was seamless. They were able to bring the food out at the same time which I found impressive for such a large crowd. Tara and Amparo were patient and respectful of our guests especially the 15 small children we had. They accommodated food allergies and we're sensitive of all requests. They allowed us to bring in a cake from outside, assisted in serving it and did not hit us with any hidden fees. The service was friendly and attentive at all times. Our guests are still talking about the chefs special pizza and the sangria. Definitely consider Pizza & Pasta for your next party of any size. You won't be disappointed. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Chicken Cesar wrap was absolutely disgusting. One of the worst wraps I ever had. I wasted my money. The chicken had absolutely no flavor they did not season it. Every time I bit into the wrap it tasted like I was biting into sand. The French fries tasted like they were the ones you buy from ShopRite and tasted like a little kid made them absolutely no flavor or salt. The Cesar dressing tasted very lemony and more so garlicky. My husband I moved down the street from this place last year & we have been coming here since then. I must say their pizza is ON POINT! Their classic cheese & diavlo pies are my favorite, if you want to just have a few drinks & end the night with pizza you come here! Their pastas & salads are good too, but I definitely come here for the pizza. Also, their staff is so friendly! Everyone that comes here literally becomes part of a huge family, that's how I see it. Paid my tab and the hostess(who has been there for years) proceeded into the kitchen with NO MASK ON (or gloves), prepared my salad and packed my food! Couldn't believe my eyes. Great customer service. I sent an email when we were looking for a location for a holiday party for work. We got a call back by morning. They took care of everything for us including decorating! I love, love, love the food here. Get the chef's special pizza and eat it in house. Do not take it to go, do not get it delivered. Not only will your order probably be wrong, but it just isn't the same as it is fresh out of the oven. The owners have been having some issues over the past year so the place isn't at bustling and well-run as it has been in the past. But my last experience was fantastic (young guy, dark hair and beard was my waiter--he was just awesome). Definitely check them out if you're in the area. I don't understand how this place has escaped review so far. There are always tons of people flowing into this place around noon everyday. It has a huge lunch hit. Two things: 1. Pizza. THEY MAKE PIZZA THE WAY PIZZA IS MEANT TO BE MADE. sorry was that in all caps? But THIS is so important. Pizza is meant to be sloppy and gooey. It's not supposed to be that nicely handheld slice you find at CPK where they doll it up with the weirdest fanciest ingredients. You're not eating a freaking scone, you're eating PIZZA. The crust is supposed to be flexible (not a slab), the sauce is supposed to be slathered on in copious amounts, and the cheese is supposed to be a hot delicious mess, dripping off the end. Also, lots of garlic helps. That's pizza. And from what I have had at Pizza 'n Pasta, this is the way pizza is supposed to be. It's comparable to some of the pizza I've had in Italy. Maybe I am waxing a bit too much given that I only tried one type--- their Chef Special Garlic Pizza. But all you should need is one slice to figure how an establishment makes their pizza. And they do so well. 2. Eggplant Parmesan. I judge an Italian eatery by 2 measures- Pizza and Eggplant Parm. Ahhhhh....I had high expectations after the pizza. But the Eggplant Parmesan was really the worst Eggplant Parmesan I have had. The Eggplant was not fully cooked, It was not soft and melty--- it was hard and stringy--- it did not fall apart when you bit into it--- it had all the fibers still very much intact-- it was like half-cooked. Also, the bread was not really good sandwich bread. And the tomato sauce wasn't that great. And there wasn't enough cheese. It was definitely a bizarre experience after have that amazing pizza.
