At first glance, this place doesn't seem like much. It's off the beaten path, doesn't have a lot of table space and isn't really much to look at. Pizza Amore makes up for all that with it's relatively low prices and great tasting food. I frequently order their veal parmigiana dinner. Considering it tastes great, costs $12 and comes with enough food for basically two meals, you can't get much better than that. I actually think their veal parm tastes better than what you can get at more expensive places. This past weekend, a local cat rescue which I support was having a fundraiser at Pizza Amore, where a portion of the proceeds from each pizza sold went to the rescue, so I decided to host a pizza party with some friends at my house to have a get together and also support the rescue. I had never had Pizza Amore's pizza before, and being as they are located about 20 minutes from me, I never even heard of them. We called in our order of 4 different pizzas, and were told they'd be ready in about 20 minutes. I probably arrived to pick them up at least 30 minutes later, and they were, of course, ready. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. There was no line, but the restaurant seemed pretty small inside, like it would not be very comfortable to eat in there during a busy time. We were getting takeout, however, so this was not an issue. The parking was also OK, but seemed like the lot could be a little on the small side if it were to get very busy. Now to the important part - the pizza! We got home and dug in. All of the varieties of pizza looked hot and fresh, and were eaten up by my guests. Everyone commented that the food was good. We got 1 plain, 1 mushroom & sausage, 1 spinach ricotta, and 1 jalapeno. I tried pieces of 3 of the 4 pies we got (did not eat the meat-filled one) and enjoyed them all. Nothing special, but just good, solid pizza. The jalapenos on the one seemed a little sparse at first glance, but once you start eating it and your mouth is burning just a little, you realize, you don't really want a ton of jalapenos on there. Overall, Pizza Amore delivered good quality pizza, with a variety of toppings. Chances are I won't be returning, only because it's not convenient to me, and we have pizza places by our home that we prefer to go to, but for this fundraiser situation, I was certainly not disappointed. read more

Heard a lot about this pizza and then tried it twice dissatisfied both times. One time had their pizza white pizza to eat in restaurant and found a hair on my pizza went to talk to the cashier and he said it looked liked mine!!! Not to mention the place wasn't clean to start with. Tired it again becuase my friend ordered it and it was even worse pizza arrived cold with cheese on half the pie. All of these options are very good, and the pizza is the best in Delran, hands down. I have found that I don't like their wings or their sandwiches, so we just stick to what we know and love. We have been going to Pizza amore for almost 15 years. We would love on Friday to pick up a hot pizza. But everything has changed, the pizza is tough ,the crust is hard ,the sauce is bland and the cheese is not real cheese. When you bite into a pizza at Passarelli's the cheese goes wild it's hot and steamy. Not a Pizza amore ! I tried to talk my friend out of going but she said she had heard mixed things we ordered a pizza and after one slice each we left! What has happened have they changed owners? It's been a while since i order from this place, so thought i would give it a try. Ordered a sicilian pizza rustica - there crust is still one of the best however thicker than others. Skimpy on the pepperoni - perhaps each of the 16 slices had one thin slice of pepperoni, the pie was bland in taste and barely had any sauce on it so was on the dry side. Called and spoke with the man who made the pie, asked him where the sauce was and he said of you wanted extra sauce? I said no i simply wanted sauce that should be on it lol....he said he put sauce on it - I said certainly not enough for the thickness of the crust. So I guess if you order a sicilian pie, tell them to put enough sauce on it! But again the taste was bland and while there were other toppings, the certainly skimp on the pepperoni - other toppings were roasted peppers sliced black olives and some green onion, chopped tomato. read more

Walked in today for the first time and ordered a chix cheese steak. Friendliness of the cashier / cook I would give about 1 star. Borderline rude. Cleanliness of the restaurant I would give 2 stars. As you walk in the doors are filthy. Quality of the chix cheese steak I would give 4 1/2 stars. Portion was huge, just the right about of cheese and a lot of chicken, but the tomatoes were unripe (not uncommon) and there was a little too much bread for my taste. Just moved into the area and this is officially my favorite pizza shop. I'm obsessed with their cheesesteaks! Absolutely obsessed, I can't stop thinking about them. They are so delicious and the buns never get soggy... they even reheat really well in the microwave. They include the perfect amount of cheese and I always get fried onions, mushrooms and mayo (a little weird I'm aware). Their fries are always great, never floppy. I feel as though pizza is very tough to critic, as we all have our preferences, but I do love the pizza here. It is right up my alley! Unsure what cheese combo they use but it's very tasty and a bit sharp, which I love. And the sauce is amazing as well!! The service is also great!! They are so friendly and very accommodating. Always including a lot of ketchup packets! Plus they are always true to their word how long everything will be ready so I'm never standing there waiting when I go to pick it up! read more

Normally a good place to grab a pizza BUT beware if you don't exactly what you're ordering. I used the online ordering tool and selected "thin crust" but didn't know that a Sicilian pizza is thick (the pizza that I actually ordered). When I picked it up, the cashier said "oh, yeah, I saw you asked for thin but just didn't call you to confirm you knew what was going on." Wow, talk about not giving a crap. The pizza was doughy, under cooked, and NOTHING like I'm used to from this place. No response to online feedback, either, when I said they should tweak their online ordering tool to grey out options that aren't available with certain pizzas. Anyway, I won't be back for a while. I feel burned and let down by what was touted as the best in SJ...at this point, papa johns would have beat them. read more

I love this place! I have never ordered a full pie from here but the slices I get are always amazing. The service is really quick and the price is just right. Most smaller pizza places I have been have a small selection of different slices you can get, but here it seems endless. I definitely will be going back to this place for lunch or even dinner. The dinner that we had today was not their best. On a Friday/Saturday night, the food should be better than it might be on a weekday. When we walked in there, people were sitting down and eating but when we brought it home, it was the worst pizza I've had. The cheese would slide right off, the Sicilian was mediocre, and the reason we go there, the bacon pizza, was disgusting. It was extremely under cooked and a waste of the money. It was so bad, that Pizza Hut or Dominos could do better. Never ordering from there again. read more

We went to Pizza Amore since we are pizza lovers and subscribe to South Jersey Magazine where they had Pizza Amore rated the best pizza. When we entered I believe the chef (not sure) was sitting on the table next to us yelling at the counter gal to lower the sound on the TV and continued to walk back and forth from the kitchen to his table shouting out orders to the staff. First off if he was the chef I sure hope he stopped to wash his hands. Lets get to the Pizza. The crust did have a snap to it but the gravy (or sauce) was very dry. I also order a cup of pasta fagioli since it was written on a chalk board "Fresh Homemade". When my cup of soup came out my husband and myself both looked at each other in disbelief. The soup consisted of some kidney beans and pasta in a broth that had the color & depth of dish water. South Jersey Magazine not sure who rates your best of NJ.
