The best pizza around for many many years for at least 30 years. They're buffalo chicken tails are a winner. Super delicious. Awesome pizza baked to perfection.

I used to live in the area and remember getting their pizza high school. Decided to try them tonight because I was in the area . The food was really really good! Got a large plain pizza , a large mushroom pizza a turkey club and the kids got chicken fingers and fries. Everyone loved the food! The pizza was really really good . Literally my only complaint was if I ordered a large pizzas they seemed small for a large. I'm still giving it a 5! Looking to going back soon.

I came here the for the first time Monday night. I was told from a coworker to try the buffalo tails. The buffalo tails are amazing and the sauce has a good kick to it. I also had a large pepperoni pizza which was very good and the cheese was nice and plenty. If you have not checked out this location in Riverside give them a try. Also the service was great and the lady behind the counter was very sweet.

39.99 for a large pizza and 12 wings? Not to mention the horrible customer service and she aggressively hung on me.

The pizza was very good. Also had the famous fries (old bay) and garlic knots. Will definitely be coming back!

Riverside, NJ, is no longer the thriving Delaware River side town it was in the middle of the last…read morecentury. Scott Avenue is still a wide expanse well designed for Independence and Veterans Day parades, but the storefronts on either side are now either boarded up or operating as low budget businesses working hard to survive in this dusty backwater now that its industrial base is gone. That is, except for the Golden River Restaurant. Their building has been standing for over one hundred years, taking many forms from drug store to early age department store and appliance outlet. Since about 1992 it has been a restaurant, most recently in its present form as a breakfast/lunch emporium. I stopped in after court in Mt. Holly to see what they had going on. It is a large room with booths and tables up front and an old lunch counter in back. It feels dated, yet comfortable - quietly fitting into the over the hill sensibility of Riverside itself. I took a stool at the counter and was immediately approached by a very friendly server offering Lacas Coffee and a menu. People were shorter a century ago, and I discovered that I could not fit my legs under the counter. I moved over to the end of the row where there was a bit more room due to warpage and a bent stool frame. Fit my 6' 4" fine there. I ordered their Greek Omelette with rye toast, and suggested the chef put the home fries inside the egg case along with the onions, peppers, mushrooms, sausage, feta and whatever else was in there. In the meantime I sipped my joe and chatted with my counter lady and other customers. Everyone was talkative and willing to share their thoughts. Cool! My breakfast was delicious and filling. The eggs were still wet enough to meld with its filling, allowing each element to speak in its own voice, yet harmonize perfectly together. It was definitely a case where the whole was greater than the sum of its parts. A splash of hot sauce completed the dish, adding a touch of heat to the rest of the opus. The rye had crunchy texture and sourness, exactly as I like. This was a strong candidate for omelette of the year. As I departed the chef/owner met me at the door to ask after my satisfaction. He was pleased with my reply. Turns out that he had spent years in Trenton and knew many of the same restaurants and lawyers from the capital city where my office is located. A pleasant surprise. I congratulated him on his success in Riverside, and reminded him that his employee at the counter deserved a raise. Hope she gets it.

Anyway if you've ever been here you know there is nothing around the mall but fast food. That's really not what I wanted. I was having so much trouble deciding we just ended up in the food court. You could smell the cheese steaks down the hall and it smelled really good. Good enough to coax me into a closer look. Upon a closer look the two guys running the shop were so friendly I was like yeah I'll do it. Only two guys doing door dash deliveries and live people in the food court. So one guy is taking orders then running back to cook. Then he was apologetic about the wait. I'm like take your time man! They were rocking it out. So then we get our food and it's really excellent. None of it is greasy. I got gourmet fries and a philly chicken cheesesteak. Fries weren't deep fried and greasy. Only complaint- worst ketchup receptacle at any restaurant ever. There is no way to hold it and keep the ketchup inside. Next time I come to a movie here I'll do it again.

I didn't have the pleasure of visiting Dog & Bull before it was renovated, but I visited last night and can't wait to return. My friend and I made a reservation for 5:30 PM (just in case) as we read online that reservations were recommended, but I don't actually think one was needed. When you walk in, it's bright and inviting. The garage doors throughout the property provide a ton of natural light. I can only imagine how lovely it is when they're open in the summer. Additionally, the outside has a nice patio and an area with a fire pit. The restaurant's layout was designed wonderfully! Our server was Alex (Alexandria) and she was the epitome of exceptional service. She checked in on us multiple times and always had a smile on her face when she came over. We really appreciated having her. The baked feta and hummus appetizer was just as delicious as it looks in the photo. The thick pieces of garlic, roasted red peppers, olives, cucumbers and pita bread triangles paired so nicely with the feta. The hummus was warmed up and it looked like the kitchen staff may have torched the top of it. It was phenomenal. Boy do I have notes on the lentil burger - it was 10/10!! I'm not a big bean person and even though this burger had beans in it, it somehow tasted like an actual beef burger. Sounds crazy, I know, but trust and believe it was pure excellence. I added cheddar for an additional charge and upgraded my regular fries to garlic parm fries. Finally, the caramel apple bread pudding... oh my oh my! What a DELIGHT. The top was piled high with a big scoop of frosting. Yes, you read that right. Frosting! Not ice cream! You can taste the apple pieces in the bread pudding. My friend and I wanted to order it twice. It was THAT good. It was easy to make my way to Dog & Bull from Center City thanks to the Septa station located directly behind the restaurant. Street parking also wasn't too bad yesterday. I absolutely loved the experience I had here and will be stopping by again this summer! Thanks, Dog & Bull!
