Anyway, Saturday night's visit was excellent - Pappardelle Bolognese for me, and for my Sir - Veal Parm. I absolutely loved my dish; he wasn't crazy about the gravy on his - said it was bland. He tried and liked mine a lot. Everything else was stellar. I'm glad that they still have their yummy scratch bread! I mopped up on that - four pieces lol (I skipped lunch and was ravenous!). Anna and Alvaro were stand outs with their excellent service and conversation :) Of course, no room for dessert - we didn't even look at the menu.

Alex, our server, was gracious, efficient, and engaging. The food was fantastic! They served us bread fresh out of the oven with garlic infused olive oil, as well whipped butter with herbs. Delicious! We ordered the Antipasto Plate as a starter. Artichoke, Roasted Peppers, and Prosciutto were the highlights. We also enjoyed the Shrimp and Scallop Pappardelle and the Branzino special. Both wer delicous and the servings were so generous we brought some home! Dessert was a Crème Brûlée and Tiramisu. Ambience was a cozy Italian restaurant in a strip mall. Siena is a BYOB. We'll be back!

I went here thinking that it would be the same as the Passariello's in Haddonfield. I was so wrong…read more I ordered the lemon chicken or maybe chicken francaise. It was chicken with lemon on it. I've ordered it from the Haddonfield location before and loved it. However, this chicken tasted like urine. The sauce (soup) it was floating in was sweet (?) with a strong urine odor and taste. I wouldn't be shocked if someone actually urinated on my plate before serving it to me, but the staff were very kind so I truly think the flavor was simply just from their recipe. I tried the pizza, it was good! Good outer-crust but the slice was inverted and had no color or golden crust on the bottom, it almost looked air fried but the edges were good. The chicken came with two sides so I got broccoli and a vegetable mix. For some reason, it tasted like there were raisins in the vegetable mix (?) which I found very odd. My two friends got pizza and cheese fries and they were satisfied but the only thing I could eat is my pizza, which was okay, and the steamed broccoli, which I don't see how you could mess up anyways. The chicken kinda ruined my appetite and I didn't even touch it after my first bite. I brought it home to give to my dog (after rinsing the urine-flavored sauce off of it, of course) so that my money wasn't completely wasted. I was so disappointed, because it looked very appetizing. Two stars is fair. I'd give them one star but the service was great and some of the food was good (not great, good-- I may even use the word "edible" instead of "good"). The ambience was warm and the staff made sure to keep the place very neat and clean, often clearing tables of any empty plates. I think the service was the best thing here.

I do not eat seafood and was confused by the fishy smell and presence of meat. Luckily it was a simple cross-table mixup. Furthermore, the mushroom gnocchi was horrible. It was made with pure whipping cream, which is probably a valid Italian approach, but it had to have been 100g of fat, and it tasted like warm thick milk, with no flavor and minimal mushrooms. I felt sick to my stomach the rest of the night. The restaurant was packed and tastefully decorated. They have a great signature cocktail list but I couldn't hear myself or anyone at my table. Average decibel level was 85 through the course of our 90 minute stay. My ears felt raw once I got outside. Lastly, it's a mandatory (and complimentary) valet for parking. Just be prepared. If you like Italian, may be worth a shot. Folks were pleased with oysters and mashed potatoes at my table, but I have no desire to come back.

We didn't realize that the restaurant was a part of a country club until we arrived (no where in the reviews did it mention this) but we've done brunch at other country clubs throughout Jersey and it was wonderful. Upon entering the restaurant we saw their only brunch option was for a brunch buffet and from our quick scans of the buffet walking to the hostess stand we all decided we would not be doing brunch (pastries looked like they were from Coscto, warm food looked as though it had been sitting there for a while and the omelettes coming from the omelette station didn't look spectacular so we opted to do their lunch menu instead. Service was SSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWW! From the very beginning until the very end. It took about 15 minutes before our server arrived to greet us, then another 15 for our first round of cocktails to come out, the about a half an hour for us to be told that they were out of 1 of the 3 appetizers we ordered ... so no lie, after being there a full hour we finally received 2 of the 3 appetizers and were then just able to order a second round of cocktails and our main courses. The cocktails weren't the greatest either. We thought perhaps the first round was our fault because we all tried their "blackberry espresso martini" and we knew it was a risk from the beginning ... so we ordered "safer" cocktails for round 2 and the prosecco based cocktails were even worse than the blackberry espresso martinis smh. I truly don't understand how one messes up prosecco + a splash of limoncello and cranberry (that was what was supposed to be in the cocktail) but they certainly messed it up, to the point where I didn't drink it. Our entrees finally arrived and WOMP WOMP WOMP! Overall every single one was MID at best ... and all I had was French onion soup and a wedge salad .... like how is it possible for those to be BLAH? Food was so MEH we didn't even take pics lol. Needless to say we all agreed we wouldn't be back and wished we had decided on what was our 2nd option for brunch instead.

We had gone out to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, and so glad we chose Mare Monte because it was a spectacular evening from start to finish. The food was excellent. Our server was Mateo who was phenomenal and really brought the whole evening to the next level. Kind, attentive, professional and knowledgeable. She asked if we were celebrating anything, and I told her we were there for my girlfriend's birthday, and at the end of the night she brought out a complimentary tiramisu with a candle in it. This was also the best tiramisu I've ever had. All around a great evening with great food and great service. We'll definitely be back.

We also had an appetizer of escargot and it was delicious! Tiramisu was a generous portion as well.
