Bbq Chicken Pizza
Cindy P.

Pretty crowded on a Friday night for a casual Italian eatery in Pismo Beach. That's always a good sign to me. But, I come to find out that the poor servers were running around nonstop because they were short handed. So although the wait to sit and be served was a little long, I completely understand given their circumstance. Food was delicious and big portions. The BBQ chicken pizza was loaded with the yummiest toppings. Highly recommend for the awesome savor & sweet flavors! Even the simple basket of fries we ordered as a side was crispy and tasty. Next time you find yourself in the Pismo area, grab a PIZmo bite! So close to the pier and downtown area.

Raw pizza

Walked in to order a pizza to go. Ordered a med combo, wait was 15 ro 20 min. All good. Walked pizza back to the hotel, fail. It wasn't cooked, it was still raw in the center. See photo and no that's not cheese. Also, while waiting I noticed that the restaraunt in general needs cleaning and maintenance. At the host stand you can clearly see dirt buil-up and an iced up machine. Sloppy wires on the ceiling covered in grime. More or less stuck with this pizza as it would make the experience worse to have to walk back and wait another 20 minutes then walk back to the hotel. On the positive side, nice person who took the order. That is all. Get your stuff together Pizmo!

Favorite pizza spot in Pismo. There's usually alot of people but it was a Monday ( Presidents' Day). Service was quick and attentive. Good ambiance of music playing. The pizza was crunchy 5/5. The wings are my favorite!

Food is always spot on! So glad we found this place. We have visited 3 times in a week. Yes, it was that good. Especially after a day of fishing off the pier. The service is always exceptionally great, the staff is very welcoming and with a smile on their faces. The place is a great place to have dinner with your family, catch a game on many of the screens they have playing.

Been walking by this place every time we are in Pismo and finally gave it a try. We order fried wings with buffalo sauce on the side. The wings were great! Nice crunch factor and moist inside. Buffalo sauce was homemade not too hot, just to my liking. The pizza I loved just as much. We got a combo and right amount of meat and veggies. The crust is made daily, with a nice crispy crunch and not doughy and saucy. Shout out to Kelli our server. Love her service, personality and humor. Oh and I even had a cider which was good. I'm not a drinker at all.

The best pizza in the Five Cities in our opinion! The crust is handmade and chewy but not tough. They use plenty of cheese. The sauce is flavorful but not so spicy you have heartburn for hours. There is a steady stream of local customers coming in. They also serve a number of pasta dishes. They only have house wine and it's OK. It's usually only one server but things seem to come out quickly and they check back in on you.

Italian Panini (Split)

We ordered the Italian Panini and the Meat Pizza. For appetizer we had Calamari. Calamari was ok since it doesn't specify on the menu that it is served breaded. Ambience has a nice atmosphere with low flat screens in each corner of the restaurant. Service was nice and attentive. Pretty good over all.

Tuscany pizza. We added pepperoni, tomato, mozzarella cheese, basil.

Dog friendly inside?

I honestly do not believe so the tables and all the people inside were pretty crammed together, but I would call and ask

Do they have a gluten free pizza option?

April 22, 2026 - Pismo Beach, CA…read more Another year gone by, and another visit to Giuseppe's. Still the same great food, ambiance and service. Once again, we arrived early (5:00 pm), for dinner (they don't take reservations). We were a party of 6, and we were seated right away (as soon as our entire party was there). I was going to order something other than what I had last time (just to try a new menu item), but remembering last year's meal, I ordered the same: half order of both the Ravioli di Zucca and Brown Butter Ravioli. So very good. Restaurant vibe is happy and festive. Our waiter's name was Guido, and he was great. Once again, enjoyed our time.

I would even generalize the goodness and quantities here to many or even most Pasta & Cheese dishes. Adding their whole loaf of freshly baked bread takes most dishes over the top. I feel that most Italian places in my neighborhood all offer various elements that they are really good at. It is important to note the limitations of most of these places to avoid a let down....and also to account for seasonal, or ingredient variations as well. If one is in downtown Pismo Beach proper, there are only two good choices, that being either Rosa's or Giuseppes. Giuseppes has the advantage of being more of an authentic NYC style pizza place...at least the Express version is. For sit down causal, Rosa's food and service is great for the family. If one wants to go outside of Pismo, you can find Luccas in AG Village. If one heads for SLO-town itself, you can find tons of choices that are great as well, such as Piadina or Flour House for more great Pizza. Regardless of the other places, I will likely always regard Rosas as my go to for Manicotti and Freshly baked bread. What other place gives you a whole loaf of hot fresh baked bread these days?

I'd heard of this "side" location on the news a few months ago...and today I had a ride down to…read morePismo for dinner. It is a very slow Tuesday evening prefect to give the place a Yelp! I walked right in and sat at the bar, there are about six large high backed booths and a few tables scattered in between. The menu is very simple; sandwiches hot or cold, salads and pizzas, and slices. The bar looks pretty friendly, I wouldn't call it a neighborhood dive but certainly a great "date" spot. Looks like a well stocked deli case with stuff and a few shelves with other goodies for eating. I ordered the Hot Italian Chop Sando $16, basically a heaping of the Italian chop salad on toasted bread. It was good, could do with more of the italian meats dressing flavor was good. I had to check out the deli case to find my desert, looking real pretty was a genuine carrot cake. Three thinish layers with butter cream frosting which was not overpowering sweet. $10 okay that makes the cake worth about $100, meaning it was a thin slice. Both were really just enough, portion control is a new behavior for me... I'll be back for some pizza, maybe bring a date too. Always top quality in their products created and served in their locations, I've never been unhappy. Thanks, Foodguy-martin

The clam chowder was super filling and had a side of loaded fries which were garlicky - my fave! And the 805 wrap tasted just like an in n out burger. Great portions and everything tasted amazing. The counterperson taking my order kept saying lettuce, and I repeated a few times, you mean cabbage, since that's what is written on the menu, and they seemed a bit confused.. But it did come with lettuce, not cabbage (?). Hmm. The fish was okay, but not fried to enough of a crisp, so it was not crunchy. It was also a relatively small amount of cod in the the burrito wrap. I say burrito wrap as the tortilla was pretty thick and barely toasted. I did see other patrons sitting at the tables with much toastier-looking wraps, and it looked like the steak wrap came in a wheat tortilla. So is there more than one kind of tortilla? The tartar sauce was middle of the road and there was not enough of it in the wrap for my tastes - I like sauce. But I could not get more for the side, as the line was out the door by the time I discovered I could use more tartar sauce! So while it was fine, and the fish seemed fresh, I was somewhat disappointed, and did not munch this wrap with the zeal that I do the one from the other locale in town where I typically buy the killer cod wrap. The curly fries were good and well salted. Lots of people sitting outside; tables could've been cleaned better. Maybe staff should come out and wipe them down periodically.

They are a pet enthusiasts that always spoil our dogs and they have a selection of 4 different dog dishes to pick from. Our two 15 pound dogs split a single salmon dish and there was enough food for both of them. We found the sea bass and the clam chowder to be two of our favorite dishes. The sea bass comes with a mix of mushrooms and white beans along with a red wine sauce. The combination of textures between the flaky fish, soft beans, and chewy mushrooms makes for a great mouthful and the acidic and flavorful sauce brings all the ingredients together. The clam chowder was an interesting twist on the classic with the dill adding a nice extra flavor to the chowder and the herb oil applied to the top added a nice light note to The brunch special with champagne seems like a great way to spend a morning. Most of the tables around us got the set meal and we saw a constant supply of new bottles of champagne and assorted fruit juices going to the other tables. If you are staying at the dolphin bay, the room service is top notch getting the same dishes and presentation that you would get in the restaurant. They suggested Lido, so we decided to arrive early and have a cocktail and appetizer during their happy hour before settling in for dinner. The visit started off strong with the lobby staff engaging in a little fun banter as well as the hostess who seated us was engaging and friendly. Unfortunately anything positive stopped there because our server was anything but pleasant and welcoming. We opted to sit outside on the patio as the weather was mild and the view stunning. We did request an umbrella as the sun was strong and another employee brought one over. The server seemed to lack any personality, no smile, no response to playful joking or interactions. I asked a question about the menu because the happy hour menu I had and had selected a drink off, differed from the other three that my husband and our friends had. The waiter flatly stated that my menu was wrong and the drink I wanted to order was not available and suggested a different drink that was nothing like the one I wanted to order. There was no apology and he didn't even take the incorrect menu, it was as if he didn't care. We placed an order for two appetizers and four drinks, three of which were the same cocktail off the happy hour menu. At the same time, we inquired about a more extensive dinner menu and the waiter stated they didn't serv dinner until 5pm but it was already 4:45pm and so we requested dinner menus. The waiter asked us how many menus we wanted, which seemed strange as none of us have ever eaten at a restaurant where each individual person wasn't provided their own menu and so we had to state we wanted four menus. When the four menus arrived, one for each person, one of the three was incorrect just like the happy hour one, showing cocktails that were no longer available. The drinks and appetizers eventually came, they took at least 15 minutes with the food arriving before any of the drinks. While the food was okay, the three cocktails were pretty awful, mine being the worst of the three. They were all the same drink made with grapefruit but my personal drink was far more bitter than the other two, it wasn't palatable at all. The other two who ordered the same drink, my husband and friend drank the drinks since we were paying for them. At this point, the experience was so bad between the waiter who seemed to have no desire to serve people and the terrible cocktails that we decided we should cut our loses and leave to eat dinner elsewhere. We left one full cocktail, and two partial cocktails on the table. The bill was paid and as my husband and I brought up the rear of our group. As we were leaving the waiter remarked that he, "hoped we have a better day." This was rude, unprofessional and confirmed leaving Lido was the right choice. This was a terrible experience both with the waiter and cocktails. A place could have the most amazing food but if the customer service is lacking, the quality of food is irrelevant. I would rather have mediocre food and friendly, welcoming and engaging customer service.
