Walked here from our hotel at Pismo beach. It was a very pleasant experience. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Pizza was fresh and delicious but had a bit too much of a thick crust. The antipasto salad was great with artichoke, olives, tomatoes, garbanzo beans. Got it with both Italian and ranch on the side. The complimentary rolls were very fresh and came with a whipped butter. Son's Shirley temple was refilled a couple of times without having to try too hard to flag someone down.

Time to update my review. Del's moved locations a few years ago. They were closer to Dinosaur Caves Park but has since moved closer to downtown Pismo Beach. Some of the pizza I have ever eaten. The bread and mozzarella sticks are also highlights of the meal. Great service. Always a destination when I am in Pismo Beach if not the first destination we visit for a meal. Support local businesses especially the good ones. Del's Pizzeria is the best. Sad we don't have a pizza place in my area that even compares. Eat here.

We used to go to Del's when it was located closer to Shell Beach. We were driving by their new location and my wife saw it and said we have to go back. So glad we did. Very casual, feel-good place. Joe waited on us and he is a super nice guy. Felt like family was taking care of you. The wait staff guy was on the ball and really took care of us. My wife and granddaughter had the spaghetti with marinara sauce and they both loved it. My daughter had a pepperoni pizza and really enjoyed it. It was cooked perfectly. I had the Pesto Mushroom Shrimp Pasta. I elected to get the fettuccini pasta. It was loaded with shrimp and mushrooms. I loved it. They serve pizza dough rolls which are awesome. Serve them with some honey butter. Unique touch. Oh, and the spumoni ice cream! One of my favorites and it is hard to get. Fantastic ice cream!!!!!

Meatballs from appetizer menu

Located in downtown at Price & Wadsworth (right across from Penny's), this spot offers both indoor and outdoor seating, paid & free street parking. After a long day of walking around downtown and hitting the beach, we were craving good pizza and decided to give this place a try. We called in our order for pickup and took it back to our hotel. To start, we ordered the 'house salad' and the 'Meatballs' (2) from the appetizer menu. The meatballs were ridiculously delicious! For our main, we tried the Big Ed's pizza, which comes with meatball, sausage, tomato, onion, and garlic. The flavor was great, and the crust was so soft yet perfectly baked. It was a great choice, though I do wish it had a bit more meatball and sausage toppings, as it felt a little light. Service was good, and our food was ready exactly when promised. The restaurant itself is clean, organized, and has a great Italian vibe. We reheated a couple of leftover slices in the air fryer the next day, and they tasted just as good as fresh! This pizza is delicious, and we will definitely be back whenever we are in town.

Wonderfullllll experience here! This is the kind of experience that makes you wish you didn't live hours away. Service, ambiance, and food are all equally great here. Joe is the manager here and served us as well. He came through with awesome hospitality and that's something I really want to highlight in this review. A good manager is sometimes all that's needed to set a place apart from the rest, and just by talking to Joe, you could see how much he cares about guests and the establishment alike. There was a younger guy who also helped with taking our dishes, and he was nice as well. We all mostly got water, but I also wanted some coffee, and they use locally roasted beans, which I love to see. The coffee was really good. As for food, they give complimentary rolls with honey butter. 10/10 no notes. The rolls were as fresh as they could've been and we enjoyed them. We got a large salad to split, and even though I feel like salad can be kind of hard to mess up, I will say this one was very good. I like that the dressing is served on the side. We also ordered two pizzas; the Farmer's Market & Big Ed's. The cheese pull is crazy. The dough is to die for. Everything was perfect. The large windows made the experience here even better, and the decor and ambiance were perfect here. All in all, Del's Pizzeria is the perfect place to come for pizza, whether it's family night, date night, or maybe you just want a solo date on the patio. Prices are great. If you're in the area and looking at Del's for dinner, please give them a chance. Lovely place & staff.

Shell Beach Road (Medium)

Came here with my husband for dinner and got seated immediately. The server was super helpful and the service was fast. We got the Shell Beach Road Pizza for an entree and for an appetizer, we got complimentary bread rolls with whipped honey butter. Bread Roll with Whipped Honey Butter - Sooo delicious! The whipped honey butter was not too sweet and so light. The bread roll was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Shell Beach Road - The pizza crust here is probably the best crust I've had. Super chewy and a little on the thicker side. The cheese was super melty and the onions provided so much flavor to the pizza. There was some seasoning on the pizza that made it taste super fresh and aromatic. Overall, this is one of the best pizzas that I have had. I would definitely come back!

When we're in town or driving by the area, we definitely make sure to pop in and eat. As always the food was amazing, hot, and full of flavor. Everyone was so nice and approachable. Our waiter came by throughout our meal, to refresh drinks and see how we were doing. There were packed tables too. Loved the Christmas holiday decorations and the wall decor. There was even an old school table arcade

This is definitely the pizza spot in Pismo Beach. I wasn't even in the mood for pizza but that all changed the second we walked through the door. The aroma of a great Italian pizzeria is undeniable. Now, this isn't "Barstool pizza" this is more knife and fork pizza and it's delicious. The ingredients are fresh, the crust is perfect. We got a Mama Del's deluxe and a pepperoni, a Cesar salad and the house rolls with honey butter. The service was great. They had on a football game so that was fun to watch while we waited. The ambiance is nice, casual pizzeria. A nice Italian restaurant. Definitely a place we would visit again.

Do you need reservations for five?

We ordered the pizza and ravioli. They both arrived to the table cold. The waitress was great. This is a reflection on the cook. I have come here many times and this was the first time our food was cold. Can they do better next time?

I would never eat cold food. If service was that great give it to the waitress to have it redone .

We were informed that there was an approximated 35 minute wait. Two other groups arrived after my husband and I and had their names added to the list. A group of four and a group of two. Approximately 10 minutes later the hostess seated the group of four before us even though the group informed them that we were there first. The hostess looked directly at us then informed the group to not worry about it and that she was seating them. Approximately five minutes later the hostess return to seat the group of two. They also informed the hostess that we were there first. The hostess told them not to worry about it and that if we had an issue with seating, that we needed to speak to her about it. The woman with that group then stated that the hostess was incredibly rude. After the second group was seated, I questioned the hostess as to why we had yet to be called. She informed me that she had called my cell phone and the call wouldn't go through and said she got a message that the call was forbidden. I then asked her why and she said she didn't know and proceeded to call my number in front of me to show that the call wouldn't go through. So she either wasn't dialing a 1 before the area code or their landline isn't set up for long distance. I asked her why we weren't informed of this and it was clearly pointed out to her by the other two groups that we had been waiting before them. She just glared at me and said that she had a table for us now. No apology, nothing! She seemed more concerned with obliging the group of four young men and other regulars that she clearly knew.

They don't take reservations, so there was quite a wait for dinner on Saturday night, but it was absolutely worth it! We actually popped next door for a drink and a meatball to hold us over while we waited, which made the experience even more fun. The Osso Buco was definitely the star of the show, but we also loved the Tortellini Giuseppe and the ravioli. Everything was full of flavor, and you can tell why this place is so popular. If you're visiting, be prepared to wait on a busy night, but don't let that stop you. Giuseppe's is absolutely worth it, and we can't wait to come back! The bread was also to die for.

Always good food at Ember…read more Trying the October menu tonight 10/22/26. First off, THE BAR. Always friendly bartenders and the selection is top shelf beer, wine, and spirits. It's my favorite spot to sit and eat my meal. Started with the wood Fired Lamb & Za'atar Mezze appetizer. This is a big appetizer and can serve as an entree or split among 2 or 3. The flavor of the Lamb Ragu was amazing. It comes in two separate plates (Lamb Ragu in one, and the bread and Baba Ganoush in the other) Highly recommend. For my entree, I went with the Duck Paccheri Pasta. Super tasty. Check out my pics for a visual. Of course, I will be back. Cheers

A wood fired pizza oven is just left of the entrance...a large bar is ahead on the right...wooden tables are arrayed throughout and there's an outdoor patio for nice weather. We sat at a table for 2 in the raised section toward the back since there's less hubbub away from the front. - Menu: Moderate in size with lots of creative sounding selections. We had 2 suggestions for improvement - Add soup and definitely a few more choices for vegetarians. - Wine List: Excellent, but no bargain. Ember has a really nice group of wines indicating it's been curated with a knowing eye. However, prices are twice - or more - what you'd pay in a store. - Food: Excellent...if a bit heavy. My wife and I shared 2 appetizers - Pepper Creek Farm Heirloom Tomatoes ($18) and Fried Green Tomatoes ($23). Both were very good, but many added ingredients overpowered the main feature: Tomatoes. My entree was Swordfish ($44). The piece if fish was fairly small, but the accompanying vegetables and sauces filled out my plate. My wife had the Half Chicken ($38) which was big enough to take some home for lunch the next day. She, too, liked her dish but felt too much "froth" obscured the "main event". Sometimes simple is best. The dessert menu was small - 3 items - so we passed. We had a bottle of Talley Chardonnay ($56) which was a fine choice for our meal. One other item to mention was the house bread. Fantastic. I'd but loaves if they sold it. - Service: Fine. "Bill S" took care of our table with a light yet knowing touch. - Price and Value: Reasonable. Our bill before tax and tip of $174 was about as expected for a nice meal. - Parking: Adequate. There's a lot in front of Ember which is fine when it isn't crowded. Otherwise, you might need to use a neighboring street. Ember is certainly worth a visit, but many of the dishes might offer more than what you'd prefer. Next time we'll get one of their famous pizzas.

Their award-winning clam chowder deserves every bit of the hype. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, it's the kind of chowder that makes you stop talking mid-conversation and reconsider whether anyone at the table really needs your attention. I came to Pismo for the ocean, but apparently my heart belongs to a bowl of soup. Now for the hidden gem: ask for the cocktail sauce they serve with the crab cocktail AND the vinegar-and-red-onion mixture they use for the oysters. Mix those together. You're welcome. That tangy, zippy combination is fantastic with seafood and doubles as a ridiculously good dip for the fries. Ketchup can take the afternoon off. And Jasmine, the bartender, is PHENOMENAL!! Her service and drinks will have you so happily parked at the bar that you'll forget there's an entire beach and a beautiful area outside waiting to be explored. "We should go watch the sunset." "Absolutely... right after we ask Jasmine for another round." Go for the seafood, fall in love with the chowder, try the sauce combination, and grab a seat at Jasmine's bar (Not the name but if she's bartending, it's her bar!). An Unforgettable Birthday Dinner with Breathtaking Ocean Views!…read more We came to Ventana Grill in Pismo Beach for a Sunday night dinner date to celebrate my wife's birthday. This place definitely gets packed, so I highly recommend reserving a table in advance. We were lucky enough to get a window seat, and the outdoor patio views of the ocean are simply amazing! On top of that, the staff here has definitely become even more friendly--our server, Zach, was super efficient and attentive throughout our meal. The food was incredible from start to finish: * Mahi Mahi Fish Ceviche: We started with this alongside fresh tortilla chips, and it was honestly one of the best ceviches we've ever had. * Clam Chowder Soup: This special clam chowder came served with Parmesan cheese bread, which was absolute perfection. Again, hands down one of the best soups we've tasted! * Molcajete Surtido: For our main dish, we ordered this classic feast loaded with grilled colossal shrimp, arrachera steak, chicken breast, chorizo, spring onion, jalapeño peppers, nopalitos, avocado, pork rinds, molcajete salsa, queso fresco, and corn tortillas, served with a side of rice and beans. All the meats were so tender and flavorful, and the rice and beans were really nice. We were so full that we didn't even get to touch the tortillas! To top off a wonderful evening, they brought out a complimentary ice cream with a candle to celebrate my wife's birthday, which was such a thoughtful and sweet touch. Whether you're planning a special date night or a family outing, we definitely recommend Ventana Grill!

Mind you, the whole time we were ready to order, the waitress who seated us was walking back and forth, setting up tables around us. The vegetables and octopus were all cooked very well. The octopus was fresh and melts in your mouth. 2. Grilled Asparagus (2.5/5) Large asparagus that's seasoned lightly, but it was not cooked correctly. It had a very stringy-fibery texture. 3. Philly cheesesteak (2/5) The hoagie bread was grocery store quality at best. We were sad that it wasn't even toasted or warmed up, so ended up ditching the bread/bun and just ate the inside. The cheese was at least nicely melted. The onion and bell peppers were fresh, but the steak was "meh." Definitely not quality beef. The beef itself was also not seasoned enough, so was bland and dry. 4. Onion rings (5/5) Fried to perfection. Loved that the onions were fresh and it was easy to pull apart with each bite. The aioli sauce that its served with is plain and bland though. 5. Crab cake (4/5): Crabby patty anyone? All I tasted was fried Panko batter. Wish the patty itself had more flavor and spice. The garlic aioli sauce that came with it though was good. 6. Dr. Marquis Salad (4/5): Fresh spring mix lettuce topped with ground beef and crispy bacon, tomato, sliced avocado and tossed with their house-made olive oil, salt and pepper dressing. Overall, it was a hearty salad with plentiful flavor. It was just a bit weird to have ground beef in salad, but I guess that's what makes this salad dish unique
