We booked two 90 minute massages with a 15 minute steam ahead of the massage. When we arrived they had us take off our shoes and gave us sandals to use, we also selected scents for the rooms and our tea preference. From there they showed us our rooms and had us change into robes before heading into the steam. While the space is too small for couples massages, we were able to go in the steam together and after we went into a room to drink our water/tea and relax ahead of the massage. Once they took us into the room the music was relaxing and they did a great job to ask where to focus and check in to make sure the pressure wasn't too much/too little. I had A LOT of tension in my back. While she was working on some problem areas I asked some questions about why it might be so tense/painful and it definitely was a mix of working out the pain to feel relief. The big takeaway was that I shouldn't go years between massages. After the massage we went back to the relaxation room and drank more water before heading out to pay. I felt so relaxed after the massage and would definitely recommend this business to others.

I booked 90 mins hoping for some work on my hands, arms, neck and shoulders before a 1 hour on my feet (reflexology). The guy who worked the front desk told me I was getting 60 min massage and 30 min feet. I told him NO - I wanted 60 min reflexology and 30 mins whatever - just no back massage. I even suggested changing to 60 mins. He took me to a massage room and told me to undress and get under the sheet face down. I told him I just wanted feet. (I was expecting a recliner and a foot bath). I didn't argue - and my "therapist" came in. She was young but spoke good English. She started on my shoulders - and the first tip off was the fact that she had long pointed nails. (no licensed educated massage therapist has long nails) She proceeded to do forearm massage on my upper spine - going over and over the spinal cord (ouch!) I finally asked her to move somewhere else. I said I loved scalp massage - I swear she used one hand and did the same motion for 10 mins (probably looking at her phone) I made it clear that it was not enjoyable. She begrudgingly moved on to my feet. She put a bolster under my ankles in order to work on my feet. (Total rookie move) I asked for a bolster under my knees to support my back. She begrudgingly brought me a pillow. The foot massage was so bad to start. Again - one movement for like 10 mins - same spot. I swear she was on her phone. When I mentioned the lack of variety - she said she had to kill time somehow bc I asked for 60 mins of foot massage. YIKES. She got a little better - but not much. I asked her to just stop bc it was hands down the worst massage / foot reflexology Ive ever experienced. (I did not tell her that) I asked her to finish by doing my hands and arms just to get her to do something else. Not much better. I was never so happy for a session to end. Worst $110 and 90 mins spent - wasted! When she was done she said - "all done" and walked out. I was ready to talk to the front desk guy and tell him it was a bad session - but she was at the desk to check me out. I casually asked her about her training and asked how long she had been licensed and how long she had been doing massage. She said she had gone to school for 3 year to learn Traditional Chinese Medicine and massage. (she did have a couple of Tui Na moves - but they were very basic) I DO NOT recommend anyone to get a massage at this place. My guess is there is a different clientele they are looking to "service" but I have no proof.

I have seen Michelle the owner/chiropracter, Elizabeth the acupuncturist and recently this month Heather the massage therapist. All 3 were excellent. I stopped Chiro as that particular style didn't work for my head injury but the back Chiro part was fine. Elizabeth I saw for several V.A. extended visits, maybe 20-25 visits. I found her highly sensitive, intuitive, and an excellent acupuncturist. Looks can be deceiving--she seems so quiet and shy but she gave me very good acupuncture and I had several breakthroughs under her care not found at any other acupuncture appointments the V.A. sent me to over the past 12 years. Heather was awesome. My Bff was a massage therapist and went w/my brother so I never got a massage;) This was my FIRST massage in my life.
