So glad I found Massage Oahu and Acupuncture! It was exactly what I needed after a 10 day meditation retreat where I was sleeping on a cot in a tent in the woods and was sitting still for several hours each day. During this meditation camp, I experienced pain on the right side of my body that I had never felt before while sitting cross legged. I have no major injuries and no idea where this pain was coming from. Giuliana is the sweetest personality and listened what I shared with her. During our session, she hit on all the pain points that had come up during the mediation. I opted for the 120 minute session with cupping and so glad I did because I REALLY NEEDED it. I was able to book a session the night before on a Sunday for a Monday morning treatment through the online booking system which was so easy to use. Unbelievable service. I woke up at 3 am and couldn't walk I was in so much pain. I did all my usual go to topical and herbal remedies. No change. 800 mgs ibuprofen no change. Ice and heat no change. 800 mgs more a little better but very painful to walk. I called and Giuliana got me in on Sunday afternoon, and I kid you not, I am pain free! Giuliana is amazing! I've seen a lot of therapists and Giuliana is one of two that I recommend. If you ask her to focus on one spot for immediate relief, she can take care of it. She can also fix deeper,. bigger issues by working on the sources of the pain and discomfort. I've had massage, cupping and acupuncture. All of which helped to relieve my lower back pain, shoulder, chest, hamstring and calf tightness. After every session, you leave feeling relaxed and a little sore. I say that because, I've had some massages that were relaxing, maybe even put me to sleep, but after, I didn't really feel any different than before. I had a bodywork massage by Giuliana and it was my first time being scraped, with extra attention to problem areas, and it was ecstatic; this is what I SHOULD have been doing for years leading up to the current day, because I've ALWAYS had the worst tension in my neck and traps, and now I have a pinched nerve that has severly impacted my life. With that being said I was still able to enjoy the massage greatly. I know these bodywork massages by Giuliana are preventive-care for this condition I have, now. Do yourself a favor and don't accept that you'll never find a good enough masseuse to hit your target areas, don't accept that tightness/tension are part of your daily life, and GO to Giuliana before it's too late, and you have a pinched nerve like me affecting your every day life. Guiliana is highly experienced and was the right massage therapist to recover my injuries as well repair my body of overuse from sport exercises. I chose the integrative functional bodywork and inputted all my information online. On arrival she already reviewed my inputs to discuss prior to the start. I've had previous surgeries and current injuries and she was well aware on how to adjust and take care of those areas. I have had a lot of massages in my lifetime and this was, by far, the best! She has had serious training and it shows. This sweet little girl is stronger than she looks. There is free parking on the side of the building. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was easy relaxing music playing. Why have I not been here sooner? I cannot wait to try out her other services. I had lots of muscle aches from working out too hard and she was able to work it all out. I selected the integrative functional bodywork option cause I have low back pain I'm trying to work thru. I really liked how the session felt therapeutic and not fluffy.
