***beware***...do not go to pixi nails!! this tops one of the most horrible nail places!!! my first time here and definitely my last! the nail tech cut my nails too short, i even told her they were too short. she said she would fix it with the acrylic. during the process she was beyond rough with my fingers, twisting my fingers, pushing the other ones out of the way. she was forsure irritated i was asking her to correct things. long story short...my nails came out wide, short, nail polish over my cuticles/fingers, and not enough acrylic was applied on my real nail. look at the pictures! you will see their true work. to top the horrible experience off, i told the nail tech quietly so the other clients would not hear that i was sorry, but i am just not happy with the way my nails came out. she immediately was angry and told me to sit back down so she can take them off!!! wait...wth??! ummmm...ouch! i told her no i don't want them off, i suggested i would pay half. she got the guy manager and he approached already upset. he told me i need to pay full price. i showed him my nails and exactly why i was dissatisfied. he said sit down i'll fix them. i have already been there for over 2 hours for a basic full set. i told him no, we need to leave for an appointment. i again suggested i'll pay half, he got furious and took a damn picture of me like was going to run off and not pay! mind you, i was with my freaking young daughter!! come on people! these people are very unprofessional and do not take customer satisfaction serioulsly. everyone, save your money and stay away from this place!!!! read more

I typically don't leave reviews, but I truly did not enjoy my experience here. For starters, the person doing my nails had earbuds in the whole time and was quite distracted. While doing my nails, he nicked my skin, resulting in a painful cut that took over a week to fully heal. I showed him the design I wanted before starting, and he said he felt confident and able to do it- it came out not looking good at all. Not only was the design not clean, many of the nails weren't cut evenly and were slightly different lengths/shapes. In their defense, I did not make the appointment for a manicure with nail art, so it's possible they were unprepared for my request. However, to me, if I am getting my nails done professionally I would at least expect them all to look uniform and even, which was definitely not the case at Pixie. And when asked, I would have much preferred my technician be honest and have me pick a more simple design instead of promising something and falling short. I've been getting my nails done professionally for over ten years, with over 95% of visits to California nail salons, and this is the first salon I can say with certainty that I will not be returning to and will absolutely never recommend to anyone. Wish I could give a rating based on quality but sadly I couldn't even get my nails done! My friend and I came in as walk ins around 11 and asked how long would be the wait for 2 fills. The guy told us to come back in one hour/ around 12. No problem, we went to get a coffee and some breakfast in the meanwhile and came back right at 12. When we came in he told us that he gave our spot away because we left without putting a name down! He never told us we had to put a name down when we came in, he just told us to come back. This misunderstanding wouldn't have been so bad if he didn't have such a bad attitude about it. He didn't even come up to the counter to check us in or even attempt to get our names but rather was yelling across the store. Very unprofessional. If you want good nail place with wonderful customer service go to Forever Nails instead, just 8 minutes away and much better service. read more

This place is amazing IF and only if you don't mind sacrificing some skin, comfort, and some discrepancies in pricing. I have now been here twice. The first time was an amazing experience nothing but great things to say. Earlier today I was in and did not have the same experience. During both visits I got the same thing on my nails (this is false I actually got an intricate design the first time) and yet I paid more for the same manicure this time. 8 out of my 10 fingers are missing skin at the cuticle and ended up bleeding. During my pedicure I got a scrub and the dead skin filed away. More than just was dead has been filed away leaving the soles of my feet and big toe raw. I don't know how but the lovely woman providing this service MISSED and essentially grated the skin off of my ankle bone? While I am sure this wasn't intentional she for sure knew it happened because she kept looking back at it and checking it (it's white). Besides these inconveniences both my finger and toe nails look good (I can not and will not say the same for the skin surrounding). I got my eyebrows done as there is a holiday tomorrow and I am sure there will be many photos.. thinking this was a good idea we proceeded. I have never in my life seen my face brace out in so many hives or bright red where you can see the layer of skin missing from my face. The woman (I am so sorry I didn't catch her name) even asked me if this was a normal reaction for me which it most definitely is not! When it came time to pay at the end of my services I had the price broken down for me where I learned that I was being charged $10 more than last time for the same service I received two and a half weeks prior. There is a placard on the right wall with pricing, same as at each station not to mention the fact that I had the same service done last time but apparently that pricing is incorrect. I made it as clear as possible to the woman that I was being incorrectly charged but didn't want to take too much of her time as they were super busy and it was clear it did not matter to her. I am upset with my experience to say the least but more importantly I am in physical pain from the missing skin on my ankle and fingers. Hopefully this is not the norm at this salon, but I can't say with too much confidence that I will be back. read more

This was the first time I chanced a mani and pedi after the lockdown and let me tell you, all the anxiety was unnecessary and the entire experience so so worth it!! They follow every precaution necessary to make you feel safe, from one time use nail kits, plastic covers in their pedi sinks, to thorough cleanup of all chairs, clear separators and surfaces after every client. They will take you by appointment only and there is plenty of space to keep your distance, not to mention the huge open entry area that allows for continuous ventilation. And the cherry of it all is Ken, he is a true artist. So very careful, talented and fun to chit chat with while he takes his time creating a masterpiece on your nails. I couldn't be happier with the end result and will be a regular client from here on out. I feel conflicted about putting this on the internet because I'm sure he will be getting busier and busier and I'll have to be patient to see him in the future but he deserves all the praise and success. I made an appointment and when I showed up, Ken sat me down to show me colors. Throughout the entire manicure, Ken's work was absolute perfection. And there was a lot to do.... I'm VERY hard on my hands and I've had bad experiences with manicurists who were not shy about bringing it up. He evened out the weird bends in my nails and understood the length and style that I was hoping for. He caught every single irregularity. I had the best experience today. This was my first visit. I sat down and expressed how I have very sensitive nail beds, as well as abnormal shape. They were so nice to me and super gentle. I then requested an ombré and Sophie offered me a few different colors (nude, light pink, dark pink). I've never been told there were options anywhere else. She also explained that we really don't need to buy a new set ever, as long as the set we have was done right. She said that is a waste of money. Loved the honesty and non-up-sale. I spent $95 on an upgraded pedicure, and a gel manicure. I got this done on a Wednesday and by Monday my manicure was already chipping and by Wednesday (only 1 week later) my pedicure was cracking and chipping. When the polish went on my nails you could tell the quality of it was terrible because it would be chunky and streak. On one finger nail it was so bad there was like divots in my nail and I asked if that could be fixed and she said no my nail bed is what has that "wavy" divot in it. Wrong. I've received thousands of manicures in my lifetime, and when paint is off my nail bed is smooth. She insisted it was something wrong with my nail (note: the polish is currently off, had to peel it all because it was so bad...and shocker, my nail bed is flat and smooth). She took a drill to my nails for just a gel manicure (still not sure if this is standard procedure because not everywhere does it and I hate the drill). But not sure if that's what dented my nail for the time being. Either way, I'll never go back. I went once before and didn't have the best experience before and this was my second time and I'll be better off spending my $$ somewhere else. Both times I've been it's been empty and now I think I know what. Bummed because it's close to my house but the quality for the price is not there. read more

Although the women here are very kind and nice , it wasn't enough to want to come back . I was a nail tech in another state before moving back to California . And after doing my own nails for years I wanted to treat myself and have a salon do them . Now I'm seriously not picky because I know that everyone does nails a little differently , just like every hair stylist has their own techniques . But I was seriously not impressed, because simple structure and basic training was not followed. For one you should always have up front pricing . So if a full set is $22 but you want gel , you should put that it's $14 extra and If you want your nails shaped you should put that you charge $10 extra. I paid $50 for a set that isn't worth $25 . Simple square nail with teal gel and a chrome overlay . Another girl was in their prior to me and she paid 49 for a pedicure , and black gel acrylic nails . So I don't know if it's because I'm new I had to pay full price ? Every nail was slightly crocked to the left as that's how she was holding my fingers. none of them where straight ( details you should notice when you hold a client's nails up 20x like she did if she hadn't kept comparing I would have let that go but she looked like she was being critical ) . She didn't leave my hands in the light long enough so at the end of it there were little divets from where she had kept touching them . The monomer and polymer combo she used was wayyyyy to runny whether because she didn't allow the ball to form fully and absorb more polymer or it was just a brand that beginners use that is designed to take longer to form so you have more time to correct issues . Either way it was to the point i was having to hold my hands in front of a fan and then a heater ? And after 60 seconds on one, it still wasn't dry ! And instead of feeling them she started filing instead which caused scratches that you can see through the gel and then realized it was still to soft. The kicker for me was instead of building up the nail structurally to ensure that it lasts she plopped the ball on my nail bed and literally just painted it back . In 10 seconds she had it on . My nails are flat . So if I something hits the tops and pulls them backwards they could literally snap . Now I know some people might think that this is over critical . But you should never have a nail tech not build up the structure of your nail . That just shows they are in it for the money and not for the care of a client . And because this is a chain , I think I know which direction it's going . Now I would have had her correct things had not been that her English wasn't very good and she couldn't understand me . I asked questions on a few things and she didn't understand me and just looked at me . Needless to say I'm not going back any time soon. read more

Meh. Normally I do my own nails and by no means an expert but I was feeling lazy so I booked an appointment. First pic is the full set top view. The gel french was actually really nice so I actually think this place would be nice if you just wanted a gel polish mani. Here's where this whole set goes wrong. First she was extremely aggressive with her filing. I never have hurt from filing but the metal nail drill bit and high speed was getting too hot. I pulled away several times only to get pulled back. Second pic is the profile view of the nails. No apex what so ever. Even worse though is how she put the tips on. I'm not a fan of tips but will tolerate them. She was speeding through and didn't pay attention to how she put them on. There's a large gap between my natural nail and the tip. I didn't realize this until after she put the acrylic on. When I told her there was a gap, she proceeded to just fill it as much as possible with glue . Problem with this is it immediately chipped off and there's a considerable gap which bacteria and fungi can grow. Because of the poor top placement and lack of apex Im scared the nail will just rip off after some time. Worse then that at the end she was really rushing and ended up dipping her brush into the bottle of acetone. This was by mistake but makes me question the cleanliness of the products especially with Covid. Bottom line: go elsewhere read more

Sophia is wonderful. She is professional and personable. I had to dock a star because I had asked to keep coffin but ended up with square tip. I wear either style so I'm not going to go on an all out head hunt. This was my first time going and this was with a fill in,so I can't truly fault her for the coffin to square tip. I'm sure that if I had come to her first for the full set they would have been on point. They also did my 4yr old's nails (mani & pedi). I chose gel for her rambunctiousness as a tomboy, and they look fabulous. She is very pleased and ensures that anyone and everyone she meets notices how nice they are. I went in for a pedicure, I was asked if I could wait 10 minutes, I ended up waiting 25 minutes. I had two different manicurists do my pedicure, one up until it was time to apply polish and the second one applied the nail polish, I think it would have been nice for someone to at least advise me of this. I don't even remember the massage, it was underwhelming and for all I can recall it may not have taken place. The scrub and mask were applied on top of each other at the same time, I've never experienced that before. The polish is okay, definitely not neat in appearance in any way, I will have to go somewhere else to get them repainted, they look as though I painted them myself at this point. I smudged one nail as I was leaving and had to have it fixed, this was such an ordeal, when I asked for the nail to be fixed I felt like since I had already paid this was no longer their problem, I was just told to sit down, no instructions on where? Do I take my sandals off? Just sit down, the one nail was fixed then two other nails were touched up and in doing so smudged another nail... I was ready to just walk out with the nails as ugly as they were, all in all my nails look bad, the experience was unpleasant to say the least and I will definitely not be returning to this salon. So horrible! I am embarrassed just to post this ugly picture, you can even see the brush stokes on one toe from the applicator. read more

Got a pedicure, never asked what I wanted and instead did what she wanted.
