Been meaning to write a review. The instructors I've had are AMAZING. But what made me want to…read morewrite a review today was I actually was scheduled for a 7 AM class and when I walked out of my house at 6:50 I saw that my car window was broken and all my belongings were just thrown out onto the street. I called grit cycle and I explained to them the situation and Sophia was amazing. She canceled my booking right away with no fees or anything and I was able to get that credit back. Honestly, because I was past the cancellation time they could've been jerks and been like sorry can't do anything, but the fact that they prioritized good customer service over profit, made me a lifelong customer.

This locations is really nice and clean. They have cubbies or lockers you can leave your stuff. There's a restroom and water refill station as well. I joined in for Danielle's morning class. She was suuuuuper high energy and kept the class pumped. She was motivating as well. I haven't cycled in a while so it was a bit hard for me to keep up since she kept it really fast paced. They didn't have the fan or AC in majority of the class so I was sweating and also felt light headed. They turned the fan on in the middle of the class for maybe 5 minutes, but I feel like they need to keep it on for the whole time! I'm prone to fainting so I was scared I'd pass out. Aside from the heat, it was a good class and left me energized.

This class was just not for me. In my opinion the water was WAY to warm to be exercising in. I felt…read moresick during the class and really gave minimal effort because I felt like I was going to pass out. I understand the water is heated because there are older people taking these classes, but it felt really nasty. I swim on a masters swim club in the morning and as much as warm water feels nice at first, you quickly overheat when doing exercising in it. 79-80° is a perfect temp for water when you'll be moving about in it. Aside from the water temp, I found the instruction to be confusing and the bike itself was very janky and hard to get the hang of. I've taken regular cycling classes and it just wasn't the same to get the rhythm. I won't be returning, but I do think this type of class could be very helpful for people who can't get on a regular bike or are looking for a low impact option.

I was eager & excited to take my 1st aqua cycling class today but was severely disappointed…read more Positives: Check in was warm and friendly. Class rate $ is very reasonable. Negatives: the instructor. My class was led by Criselda, the Sr Instructor on the website. I have taken many fitness classes before (never an aqua cycle class) and Criselda omitted several steps I would think are important: Ask if I'd had any injuries; ask if Id taken a class before; instruct me how to stay safe on the bike. She did none of these things. Needless to say, I could not get my feet properly in the bike shoes; legs kept flying off the pedal. I finally asked my neighbor who helped me throughout the class. Later during a transition to another move on the bike, I asked Criselda literally, what am I supposed to be doing with the handlebars and she ignored me. I am a swimmer and managed to balance myself throughout but balancing on a stationery bike (that isn't bolted and shakes incredibly) is not easy and actually pretty dangerous. I would've expected more precaution from the instructor. I question if Criselda is a licensed instructor. I also question the insurance that Aqua Cycle Corp holds. If my experience is common, there is bound to be serious injuries.

Nothing kills a ride faster than people treating a cycle class like it's their living room. Talking…read moremid-song, scrolling on phones, completely oblivious to everyone around them... it's not just annoying, it ruins the experience people are literally paying for. So let's be clear -- the issue wasn't management. The issue was a handful of members who couldn't manage basic gym etiquette. And yes, we did ask them to be quiet, but would they? No. And honestly? I'm glad management stepped in. They addressed it the right way -- clear, direct, and respectful to the entire community. A simple reminder to be present, be courteous, and respect the instructors and riders around you shouldn't be controversial... it should be standard. If anything, it showed they actually care about the experience they're providing -- and about the members who show up ready to work. Because here's the reality: you don't lose members over accountability... you lose them when bad behavior gets ignored. So if that email/social post bothered you, maybe ask yourself why. The rest of us? We're just here to ride, sweat, and not listen to your side conversations. Mic drop.

YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULD!!…read more I am a longtime rider at their other location in San Fernando but had to leave a review for their spot in Santa Clarita too. You will walk out of this place drenched in sweat and wanting to come back. Yeah it's hard, but the instructors and the staff are all incredibly motivational, supportive and helpful. You don't have to be an expert or seasoned cyclist to try this out. They're welcoming to all levels. I cannot wait for my next ride!
