So there is old lady pilates then there is coreology which I call angry Pilates... its like a hitt class but with pilates. I have been coming here for the last year or so, Im not so picky with teachers. They are all different & all encouraging no matter your level. It's a fun class. I love the fact that they offer earplugs to offset the loud music. read more

I've been going to Coreology for about a month now after being told by my PT that I needed to shift to low impact workouts. Coming from a CrossFit background I still enjoyed the high intensity, and coreology fits the bill for both. The classes are a slower pace than I'm used to, but extremely challenging! Also Pilates in general is very customizable to your level which is a plus. No 2 classes are ever the same which keeps it interesting. All the coaches are extremely kind and helpful, the facility is clean. Membership/classes are pricey but you definitely get what you pay for! read more

Coreology offered some free classes recently that I took full advantage of! It was a new instructor so he was probably getting some hours of practice under his belt. The class overall was great, def more intermediate-advanced for Pilates, but it was fun and upbeat! While I waited at the front for class to start, other instructors made an effort to make conversation and I'm not talking about lame chit-chat. They were genuinely so kind and sweet! One instructor was Chelsea and I didn't get the other instructor's name. I can't wait to come back because the energy was great! read more

Great experience from signing up, checking in, & actually attending the class. Locating the place was a bit tricky, plenty of parking in parking structure. The front desk area is very clean, modern. iPad check in is prettier neat. I was greeted by my instructor (Lucy), immediately after she gave me the run down in the machine. Machines were previously wiped down BUT they have cleaning wipes available if you want to sanitize some more. The lighting is perfect, dark enough so it's not hot, bright enough for you to be able to sleep. Lucy was Great. She got me pumped! She got the class pumped! I felt empowered! She worked the room very well, helping everyone one, cheering us on by name! It was hands on help to improve posture/stance & also she would demonstrate it herself. I don't work out, & I am not in shape at all.. This was probably the hardest work out my body has had... YOU WILL SWEAT, & if you're like me THE NEXT DAY YOU WILL ACHE in places you didn't know aching was possible I am impressed I stuck it out, and also mad I did because I am paying for it! I will definitely be back! I was interested in learning more about this facility and its equipment. I had started to fill out the form online for the three-class offer last Fall, but decided not to prepay it until I had a chance to get a better sense of what I was signing up for, so I didn't hit submit. That didn't stop me from getting a text from "Sarah" the next day, asking if I still wanted to sign up. That was a bit off-putting, given that my not hitting "Submit" didn't stop the site from harvesting the information to provide to Sarah, and I don't recall opting in to any further contact. Still interested, though, so yesterday I decided to drop by, since that's what the email from Stefanie Byndloss told me to do when I reached out a week ago. Not knowing what the class schedule is, I came in toward the end of the hour. As the email from Stefanie informed me, they "do not currently have front desk staff" so I looked around and kept looking in to get a sense of what the routines were, how the classes were organized, etc. At one point, I made eye contact with the instructor, whom I later found out was Tracy. She peeked her head out and asked, bluntly and not at all warmly, "Can I help you?" It was then that I told her that I was instructed to come by to see the facility before signing up for the three-class introductory offer. She replies, in the same lifeless tone (a stark contrast to the motivating, emotive voice I heard her use in her class moments ago), "Come back after the class is done." "When will that be?" I asked. She then turned her back and returned to her class, as if I hadn't just asked her a question. Most fitness establishments that I've become a member of have a sales culture that is found among the entire staff since they understand customers are any retail establishment's lifeblood. Frankly, I felt Tracy treated me like an intruder. I felt decidedly unwelcome, even after specifying what I was trying to accomplish. It's no exaggeration to characterize her tone and demeanor as borderline hostile, and definitely unwelcoming. So, I can't say I have any further interest in knowing more about Coreology, other than learning why they don't better train their instructors in customer service, especially since they don't have front desk staff in a highly competitive space (with Corepower Yoga across the street and a Cyclebar location right next door). read more

Before coming to Coreology, I had no experience in Pilates. I fell in love with Pilates after my first class here. I've been coming to this studio for several months and I've never taken a class with an instructor that I didn't love! Everyone is welcoming to newcomers and the classes are smaller in size with 14 reformers total in the studio. I've tried out other Pilates studios however, I keep coming back to Coreology because I love the instructors here the most. Came here with a co-worker and am loving it! I had tried pilates before (both mat class and with reformer machine) but didn't have the best impression. However, Coreology was a lot of fun and I felt like I got a good workout. It's not cardio, but you work out many muscle groups that you wouldn't otherwise. Pros: 1. Quality of the classes: The instructors are really friendly and I liked the small group feel. The first session might be a bit confusing if it's your first time on a reformer machine. It takes some getting used to so you might not get that strong workout until your second session when you are more familiar with the positions and your body gets acclimated to the workout. 2. Cool (and clean) environment: It's set in a dim environment with interesting neon lights. They typically play upbeat music so it's very encouraging and doesn't feel like a "no pain no gain" type of work out. They also provide towels and hairbands if you forget a hair tie. Cons: Lack of showers/changing station: Only one bathroom so it's best to change beforehand. Classes are kind of expensive and there's no place to shower. You can pay per class ($28 for drop in) or get class packs/monthly membership. No free classes unless you have a friend who is a member and has some guest passes. There is an introductory offer (buy 1 get 1 free so it averages out to $14 for the first two classes). Overall--These classes are kind of addicting and I would recommend them to anyone who interested in trying something new, getting in shape, or toning up. read more

Join a megaformer/xformer class like coreology where you get your butt kicked for 50 minutes and realize that all those bootcamp and CrossFit classes don't prepare you for the slow burn of this class. Warning, this is nothing like your reformer pilates class. Energy is upbeat, good music, great instructors who will always correct your form, and the room is dimmed so you feel pumped and a little more comfortable in your own skin. This is an INTENSE workout for your arms, legs, booty and core! My only complaint is how expensive yet addicting this class is. 13 points on classpass and when I'm not at my fittest I feel like I'm wasting my points/money so I feel guilty going as often as I'd like to. Tried out their XFormer class and it was really hard. Theres a lot of plank work and definitely core centric (hence, coreology). Other than the fact that it uses a reformer, it's not really too similar to pilates. Theres plenty of parking space but no place inside the studio to wait if you're early cuz you end up interrupting the previous class. read more

I am a complete newbie to Pilates and didn't have a great 1st experience at another studio so I was hesitant to try again. I'm doing ClassPass so I decided to give Coreology a try and I'm so glad I did. The staff were so friendly and supportive. Meg, the instructor, was very encouraging, great with direction, and good at allowing us to adjust based on our ability level. Their Pilates equipment is easier to use because there are little grip areas for those of us who need a little more help & stability. I got so lucky -- to be at the right dog park, on the right day and to run into an old Pilates instructor who told me about Coreology! The workout was FANTASTIC -- challenging (like THE shake), really great flow, clear instructions. The machine is different than traditional pilates but amazing -- and Nicole is a great instructor. I tried a class here as part of Class Pass and it was my first Pilates class that used the machines. Prior to this I had only ever done mat pilates (and even that was years ago). I was pretty nervous about it but the instructor had one of the regulars show me the machine quickly before class so I'd have somewhat of an idea of what was happening. There's a small parking lot in back but it fills up quickly, or at least it did the day I was there. The studio itself is small so I'd recommend making a reservation so they don't run out of machines for everyone. There's a smoothie bar inside which is really cool! I didn't have time to stick around after class to try it, but it's neat that they have it right there. There was no one working behind the counter, though, besides the instructor, which was a little weird. The class itself was a great workout. The instructor moved very quickly and most of the girls were regulars or at least semi-regulars so they really seemed to know what they were doing. The instructor did make a point of showing modifications to make moves either easier or harder, depending on if you were a beginner like me or more advanced like some of the other girls. It was definitely challenging and I was sore for many days afterwards. It's not my favorite type of exercise for me personally, but it's undoubtedly a great workout. I'd be up for trying it again some time. read more

My sister and I were visiting California. I am one of those people even if I'm on vacation, I have to get in some type of physical activity each day. This studio was close to our hotel and it had the new reformer machines which was a plus for me. We signed up for the HIIT + Pilates class. This is half cardio on treadmill and 2nd part Pilates. Our instructor Megan was great. We targeted every muscle group. The treadmill part was interval training with sprints and varying inclines and speeds. Go at your own pace and what you feel comfortable. After cardio and going into Pilates is difficult but we pushed through, literally. We started off with push ups, into core exercises, bicep curls, lunges, tricep dips, lat pull downs. Squats with bands on thighs. This was a great workout to start off our day. As I type this review the next day, I can feel it in my body which is mission accomplished read more

I'm someone who has tried so many workouts. I will do them for a few months and then get hired. Lagree-style Pilates is one workout that has kept my attention for four years now and Coreology has become part of that recently. Not only do I get a great cardio workout, but the routines challenge my muscles more than any other workout and always leave me sore. And the combination of that + music + under an hour makes it something I love to continue doing. I have attended this studio on and off for less than 2 years and although I liked some of the instructors I was never impressed. One of the reasons I am giving it 2 stars is during the month of November I attended a class and only the instructor and myself wore masks. This was the beginning of high covid season and I decided it wasn't a safe place to workout. Even though it's "outdoor" because it's in a parking garage you are still very close to other people. I decided to give it another shot recently so I signed up for a Saturday class weeks in advance which was full. I was on the waitlist. I never got a notification letting me know I was in the class so I didn't give it much thought until I received an email asking "how was your recently class?" I called to check and they said they would charge me because I did not cancel and they had people on the waitlist. They also said I had "opted out" of email notifications but they said I did not opt out of promotion emails. Yet somehow I still got an email receipt for the purchase of the class. I do not understand why I would receive promotions and not important emails. I explained I did not recall opting out of emails. In addition, I have a friend who attended class that day and said the class was full, so I did not really take up a spot as it was FULL. I was told I would receive an email regarding a possible refund if approved by management. I never heard from them either way. I am OK with losing the class credit but I will not return to this studio again. Customer service and safety precautions need improvement. read more

Amazing full body workouts with some of the best instructors around, Meg and Kenya are da bomb!The vibe and atmosphere of the studio is great as well which is a total added bonus! I found Coreology after seeking out many classes on ClassPass. After trying one class, I was hooked! The burn is real and it's an amazing workout because you use a lot of your own body weight combined with the technology of the X-former! I believe this is the most beneficial workout for me. :) I would highly recommend anyone to take a class and feel it out for yourself! read more
