Stopped in to get some hot capicola, dry salami, and some bread rolls. They were very helpful and nice. Definitely recommend.

This was absolutely incredible, from the atmosphere to the food everything was just perfect…read more We started with the salad which was very good, good dressing and the croutons are the same bread as you get on the table when you sit down which is really good. The Chicken parm on steroids is what they called it and let me tell you it was amazing. I absolutely loved the potato's on top and the sauce was outstanding. You get 2 nice sized pieces of chicken definitely fills you up. The bolognese sauce was incredible. Lots of meat and lots of pasta. Very garlicky which I love. Got it with angel hair pasta which was a great choice as well. The cappuccino and biscotti was amazing as well. Everything just tasted so fresh. Service was awesome, they were on point. Food came out fast and again tested great. It's a BYOB so dont forget to bring a bottle of wine. It's hard to get a reservation so if you're lucky to get one you will enjoy it.

No walk ins, BYOB, reservations only, and is in a house. The upstairs is the main house and the basement is the speakeasy part. I for sure would like to come back and try to get the basement. They also have the porch closed in enough to sit outside and they have heaters. They are knows for their ricotta cheesecake served warm but I thought it was just on. It was good but I like a cold cheesecake so I wouldn't get it warm.

It's been awhile ... and you might notice the added star but I can tell you that the fourth star…read morewas wavering in the cool winter breeze because once again we had to search for any staff to refill our water glasses or to just check in on us. Since we are talking about five years since my last review I am guessing the "leave them alone so that they can talk" philosophy of restaurant service is an institutional policy. Frankly, the service was better than the 2017 review but please we should not have to leave the table and walk into another area of the restaurant to find our server to ask to have our water glasses refilled. And, the kid from the land of the dead whom I at first thought was a customer lost attempting to find his parents was actually an employee. Someone at my table suggested I ask him for a refill of the water as he slowly walked by in a half stupor but I said "If he worked here he'd at least remove the completed soup bowls from our table (They remained until the entire meal was finished.)." I discovered later when he returned to clean a table top that he actually was an employee who might have been trained to notice diners in need of water or he could have actually said "Good evening, I have noticed your water glasses have nothing in them ... might I refill them for you?" But, then again perhaps its institutional policy. Having gotten that out of the way I have to say I was very impressed by the new entranceway, which replaced the old wooden railings that I remember front he splinters in my hand. It is a very attractive entrance and as always, noted in my prior review, you are greeted warmly and feel very welcome as you walk into this very attractive restaurant. The menu has changed since we were last here. We all agreed that it appears to have been reduced in offerings and in variety but that did not stop us from finding something. Clearly when you see the four stars and if you have reached this point of the review you have noted negatives but yet 4 stars. The food is delicious and well conceived! We didn't get anything extravagant but the French Onion Soup was truly special both visually and more importantly its blend of flavors along with the nice presence of perfectly cooked onions made those who ordered the soup very happy campers (Ok,, that's a phrase ... we are not camping out in the winter.). The sandwich was accompanied by some of the best "chips" we have ever had (All too often restaurants in their attempt to save money rather than offering French fries created chips that are burnt, overly salted or otherwise inedible.) and we all were reaching over to make sure not a speck was left. I ordered the Sweet Chili Signature Chicken Salad (Romanelli's has always been known for their awesome salads!), which was perfect for me but .... If you don't like Asian-style chili garlic sauce be forewarned that this salad's going to do more than tingle your tongue ... you are going to need water to cool it down and you already read about the lack of water refills. The chicken was perfectly cooked ... the croutons had me searching for more, and the blend of flavors made this a fantastic filling meal but .... As we left and I talked about the "heat" of my salad someone asked "Where was the bread or the rolls with dinner?" Where indeed was the bread basket that one used to receive as a guest at Romanelli's? Yes, COVID and increased costs have forced restaurants to save dollars wherever they could but we had folks with soup and me with a salad so a small dinner roll or a nice piece of bread would have been perfect but alas no bread. The menu features all those fabulous omelettes that make Romanelli's a great stop for breakfast (I wonder if you get toast or coffee refills.)! And, I am sure we will be back but next time I might ask that the water pitcher be left on the table when ordering so that the server will realize that many people need more than one glass of water with their meal especially if the water is their choice of beverage for the evening, afternoon, or morning.

Good food for the price. Service was excellent . They have a neat little bar . Bartender is friendlyread more

A big bar that wraps around pretty much the whole first level, tons of bars stools. Drinks are cheap, $5 for a beer in AC is almost unheard in these times. The food was great, got the clams casino to start and it was good, 7.5/10. I then ordered the Chicken parm for dinner, which comes with a family sized salad for the table. The chicken was really good very flavorful and super tender, perfect amount of cheese and sauce on it as well. Pasta was cooked perfect and was very good 10/10. My wife had got the mussels with pasta and that was out of this world. First off the amount of mussels you get is crazy they give you so much. They were cooked great, cleaned really well also. Service was good from the bar as well as when i sat down. Food came out fast and tastes great. They don't rush you they space out the appetizer and your meal very well so it gives you time to enjoy it and not eat your dinner right after you finish the appetizer. Last thing is the prices for all of this is unmatched great prices and good food definitely something to try out.

I asked the waiter ...who, BTW never greeted us or gave us menus... if they had waiter service. He was insulted for some reason ...saying um yeah thats what I am.... Okay!! Cool, Ummm .. usually with waiter service someone acknowledges you are seen sitting and lets you know they will be right over, something. No biggie. Carry on. Fastforward. I was misled. Either you have blackening seasoning or you don't. Please don't create your own for me. I would of passed and got grilled. I ask the server because as someone who served for 20 years I know you know the food better than anyone!! Be honest, its okay!! No restaurant does every dish fantastical. Lets be real. The so called "blackened" shrimp was painfully gross. It was overloaded with paprika and salt, so nasty but I definitely ate that $14 protein charge. Wasn't tossing that. Brother got veg meatball sub with real mozz cheese and he liked it. Boo got chicken cheese steak and he said it was decent. We all got our food at different times!!! Oh, no you didn't. I don't care how busy you are. I dont care you are a pizza place. It is so rude to the person sitting there with no food. It wasnt a second either. It was ten minutes between 2 of us getting our dinner and my poor brother sitting there starving with nothing in front of him. Give a bread basket if you do that dumb stuff. So, our order was one spinach salad w/ double blackened shrimp, 2 subs with ff, 3 sodas, and 2 plain slices to go. Guess what I spent? A Benji.$100 82 plus 18 tip... almost to the penny. The pizza next to our table was looking so delicious though. I wish the waiter got over his ego and honestly told me what they made well. I asked him if getting the spinach salad was the right thing to do and he acted like it was his favorite. Lies... nothing special there. The slices to go he didn't even bother to heat up in their pizza oven. I promise you. My mom was waiting for warm pizza at the least ..it was room temperature. All facts. Why would you do that? Also, one waiter for the whole dining room who also has to do counter and phones is a stretch. He handled it but the service was POOR- Period. You need TWO people.
