Awesome place - great eats…read more Owned by a gentleman named Zane - who is from Vancouver (he spotted my Grizzlies jersey and we chatted about living in Kitslano). The kids were looking for a change of pace from lobster rolls, fish and chips, chowders, and burgers - and this hit the spot. Zane has a short menu, but everything on it would rank amongst the best meat and vegan food options we would have had back in Vancouver. We had the La Bandida for the kids - and it was tasty and delicious. My wife tried the Royal Dahl (vegan) as a bowl and loved it. I had the La Reina (also vegan) choosing to go non meat for the day - and it was great. Menu pictures attached. No alcohol served, but a good mix of Propellier Pop and Bubly drinks. We also grabbed a pie (made by his mother-in-law with local ingredients), but as of the time of this review we haven't eaten yet. The ingredients and bread were all fine - but that's it, just fine. Definitely not worth the price - it would have been $3-$4 cheaper to get a hamburger than it was a plain turkey sandwich. It was a hit and a miss - we'll keep going back for a sweet treat but in the nicest way possible you can get a much better and cheaper lunch elsewhere.

He turns his head and points to a roll that's ontop of his empty slice cage, I say "Thank you" and take some. As this is happening, he starts speaking in a different language while looking right at me and giggling. I was going to buy something from him for his help, but he was neither helpful nor pleasant, made me feel unwelcome and insured I'll never go back nor reccomend the place to anyone, ever. Not to mention, the place looked run down a little, like he didn't care almost. Coustomers that came in were only money givers to him, and not people. Which means I frequent this place more often than I should admit to. My fave is the cheese biscuit. Seriously. It's huge. And amazing.
