We made a Pit stop at the Pita Pit. We wanted something different than a hamburger and this seemed to be a good place to check out. My Sin had their kids Pita with bacon and it looked like a BLT Pita. I wanted a bite and couldn't because he ate it so fast. I ordered a falafel salad. While it was tasty, I expected falafel balls, not a few falafel crumbs. The whole reason I visited Pita Pit was because I felt like having falafel - balls, not a few crumbs. In addition, tahini was not offered as a dressing. Instead, I got some sort of unheathy white fatty thing. Tahini is one of the two traditional dressings to eat with falafel - the other is a light cucumber dressing. I hadn't eaten at the Gig Harbor Pita Pit for a couple years, and the whole and only reason I visited today (ordered online) was because I wanted falafel balls - not crumbs. As an additional note, Pita Pit texted me without permission to send me a survey. I do not read or write texts, and had to cut and paste the survey and email it to myself so I could respond on my laptop. Vision problems prevent me from texting. Pita Pit needs to make their materials accessible and comply with the WA State Law Against Discrimination and provide accessible options. read more

Quick and friendly service! I ordered the Super Greek, and it was super delicious. A fresh tasting, filling pita wrap that hit the spot. There are plenty of tables/seats inside which feels spacious, and it's not too loud which is nice. I was craving something hot and fresh, but not greasy and Pita Pit delivered. Pita pit is surprisingly delicious for a chain. The ingredients are high quality and their recipes are great too. It seems a little overpriced though, but it's also in Gig Harbor so maybe that's why its a little more expensive. Definitely semi-regular when I'm in the area for a decent lunch or easy dinner. read more

I like the Pita Pit a lot. Their menu has a lot of variety and the food is always fresh. The workers behind the counter are always polite, too. Still, there are a couple of things that bother me. 1) Their cookies (currently .50 each) are not much bigger around than a quarter. I'll be interested to see how much smaller they get before finally disappearing. 2) It seems every time I'm there, the bathroom door is wide open and it's very close to where customers order and eat their food. First, the two guys working there were really nice/cool... No complaints on that front. The product (the wraps) were good... they had good flavor and were well made. The three stars really comes down to price and value. Those little wraps were $12+ and while I acknowledge prices of things have gone up in the last couple of years, I'm not sure I'm sold on the cost relative to what I got. Two wraps... 2 chips... 2 sodas... $34. Again... the product is fine and the people were fine and the place was clean. I had initially wanted to try this pita pit a few years ago but found out they did not accept Apple Pay. But I decided to try eating there recently, and they had fixed the Apple Pay problem. I tried their Gyro pita and enjoyed the fresh ingredients they put in the pita and, overall, was very satisfied with the service and the quality of the food. The only negative I found was the price for a regular pita and a combo was a bit on the high side, but other than that, the employees were friendly and made sure to greet any customers that came in and also thanked them as they left. I love the falafel pita with pickles and romaine. And it's low-cal enough, I can have it for lunch on a cut. I like that they use gloves while handling your food. I was disappointed and somewhat disgusted today, although it's been a treat in the past to get a falafel here. I had to repeat myself to the guy behind the counter over and over and over--he couldn't seem to comprehend. I explained I was early, and asked that he not cook my falafel balls on the grill until he cleaned it because I'm a vegetarian and he had meat cooking but he didn't clean it. He wore his mask below his nose, and could not communicate. The falafel I received was mush, with no discernible fresh veggies except for spinach. The whole experience was disgusting. Amazing little spot new in gig harbor. Finally a decent place to go eat with healthy ingredients, good customer service, and a price that is competitive around here. Love it! However, they said they would deliver. But thy haven't done that yet. Let me save the trouble. If you deliver, and someone calls in, you either deliver or compensate the customer. I came in here with my husband and we loved our choice of pitas. I chose the gyro pita and was quite happy to be able to pick all the toppings. Gluten unawareness alert! I have been to the Tacoma location many times. I went to the gig harbor location for lunch on 5/5/19 during the Noon hour. The gentleman running the cash register got nearly every question about their own products wrong. Products that don't have gluten he said do and vice versa. They got the first thumbs up when they offered a choice between wheat and flour pita, giving us a healthy option in the selection - there was sufficient condiment / ingredient variety to create almost anything for your taste - I highly recommend the Picante sauce at the end if you like a bite to your pita. Your meal from here will probably be healthier than a Big Mac with fries. But Pita Pit's offering is more like Subway-in-a-(flimsy)-Pita than authentic Middle Eastern. Very broad menu selection, including a number of things you would never actually find in the Middle East. And quality is Meh. My falafel sandwich came on a lightweight nonfresh pita from a plastic bag. "Pita and dip" involved a microscopic dollop of refrigerated hummus with aforementioned packaged pita. Perhaps Naf Naf, our home restaurant, set our expectations too high: they make their pitas and hummus fresh onsite (but offer a more limited array of choices). Only two stars for bad customer service and GUM CHEWING.....GROSS!!!!! You are serving/preparing food. Stop chewing gum. Also when someone tips you say THANK YOU!!! I've always tipped even with the gum issue but since they don't even say thank you for tipping.....no more. One more thing, I went there and was ready to order...instead of the gal saying "hello" or "how can I help you", she just looks at me and waits for me to say something.
