Surprisingly good stop in Ephrata! Everything was very fresh and tasty, the people working were very nice. You can tell from the decor that this restaurant is very involved in local events, there was support for schools / sports teams as well some some local election information. I had never been to a Pita Pit before. There were four of us and we all had different things, everyone really enjoyed the food. Clean and good customer service! They didn't even flinch at my weird lunch mix - beyond meat and tuna on top of salad greens! Even I wasn't sure how the two would mix but it was quite good! They made sure to cook the plant based stuff on the side of the grill that is not where they cook meats so I didn't have any stomach issues after the meal. I noticed great teamwork and was pleased with the cleanliness of the space. This is a nice treat to have in the middle of an otherwise pretty empty Main Street. read more

Found ourselves in Ephrata while on a bird watching day trip. Our reluctance to visit a public restaurant during pandemic was easily overcome at this location. Safety measures were clearly in place, and there were no other customers, so we had the place to ourselves. Food was fresh and well-prepared. A perfect spot for a quick meal and then on our way! Bad service. Payed for a drink and only after was told that the soda dispenser has no drinks in it. You aren't given a plate to put your food on either, had to use some napkins. Place is clean tho and the food seems decent. read more

Chicken can't even be found or try to make as small as possible. Even ordering two pitas, you don't feel satisfied for lunch or Dinner. Also, I've noticed they don't change their gloves after going to the back to get supplies and Cross contaminate your pita or when handling money they will turn around and cook your meat. When this issue was respectfully brought up, the owner and worker just gave us a dirty look with no apologies. I should of also mention the place could be cleaner as well. Went in one time and the last !!! When the pita bread is removed from the toaster/heater it is placed right on the counter in front of the condiments !!! How clean is that counter ??? Why not place the bread on the paper they wrap the sandwich in ??? Surely it would be more sanitary than the counter which in watching they did swab the counter off with a wet towel that was laying by the sink !!! Where had that towel been, what had it also wiped, and what was on that towel for a cleansing agent ??? You need to go to the Subway in town and watch them make a sandwich !!! Subway lays the wrapper paper down and puts the bread on the paper !!! Much more sanitary !!! Guys....get your act together !!! read more
