It's hard to find kid friendly dining so we often avoid eating out honestly. But with family in town I truthfully didn't feel like cooking one night to we came here! Away from the crazy parking situation at desert ridge but just across the street if we wanted to go after dinner. Service from the host and our waiter were great. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The kids meals are such a great value and great quality food too. The adults also enjoyed their food. My husband had a gyro and mentioned a few times that it was great. We will be back with the kids again soon! read more

Since initial review have been back several times. Shared the medeterranian antipasto appetizer platter and had the medeterranian chicken salad as an entree. Opted to dine outside on the patio where most of the customers were prior to the evening rush. Much more pleasant outside, great weather and much lower noise level. The appetizer platter was very filling. It contained humus, baba ganoosh, tzatziki, taboule, dolmades, falafel, feta, with some olives tomato and cucumber. The dish had two pita and we asked the server for two more to finish it off. The platter easily could have been adequate for a shared meal. The mediterranian chicken salad was exceptional. It contained grilled chopped chicken breast with mixed greens, roasted bell peppers, cucumbers, tomato, feta, cilantro raisins and pine nuts. The salad had a nice lemon vinaigrette and lots of taboule. If you don't like parsley may want to try another dish. Service was very good. They had good team work. Would have liked to receive the happy hour menu when we first got the regular menu. It came after we decided what we wanted to order but that was ok. I usually order the same entree. The food was excellent and the service from the bartender was just ok. Too much employee visiting with each other and not enough customer attention for sure. The worst part that really ruined it is the young punk looking employee on break who sat at the end of the bar, two seats down. If he wasn't playing videos loudly on his phone, he was talking on his phone on speaker. Super annoying. His use of F bombs over and over was the final straw. Fix this easily fixable problem and you'd get 5 stars. UPDATE- Cory, the manager contacted me right away. He took the matter very seriously and said he has addressed the issues. I'm a huge fan of Pita Jungle. Including this location from prior visits. Today was an unfortunate exception. To start, the cauliflower appetizer came out swimming in sauce. I wish I had taken a photo to show. So much sauce it was almost inedible. The wait staff spent more time hovered in the corner by the bar than serving their tables. And it was not just one occurrence, but rarely came to check in on tables. Thankfully this is not the norm and hope it does not become a trend. read more

I really have to give Pita Jungle props! They continue to have their staff wearing masks and encouraging social distancing by limiting the seating inside their restaurant. We all want to get "back to normal", but we also need to think about our friends and neighbors to ensure everyone stays healthy. So, what about the food you say? It's excellent. We typically get the Chicken Combo platter. Lots of protein and if you sub out the beans for something else the sodium is manageable. Every restaurant tries to make their food taste great and salt often helps that, but sometimes there is too much. No worries at Pita Jungle, just go online and checkout their nutrition calculator. It will help you build a meal that is perfect for your diet no matter what you're following. Hands down, it is the best nutrition calculator I've seen. Complete transparency. Ordering online is a cinch and the food is usually ready quickly. read more

Really disappointed with my last take out order from this restaurant. I like Pita Jungle and their food, but this last order was incredibly disappointing. We ordered the blue corn nachos. The chips were all broken and stale and the nacho mixture was like soup and there was no cheese. Gross. Not sure how I can get a refund for this terrible takeout order. read more

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE pita jungle but this location specifically over dresses things! It's a bit of a splurge for me to have food delivered, and it is so disappointing when the food is not enjoyable. We got the chipotle chicken lavash pizza and spinach pasta salad. Two staples I've got many times before. But the last two times, the pizza is swimming in sauce and the pasta is wayyyyyyy over done with pesto. If you order in, specifically ask for dressings on side. Other than that I love this place! read more

Let's have a quick talk about consistency. I've been ordering from here at least twice a week for months, and as of late it has just gone down hill. The last time I ordered there was absolutely no seasoning on the chicken at all, and the rice was a ball of mush. Today they have the rice in the wrong portion of the to go container and now my chicken is saturated with the garlic mash, because it's sitting on top of it. Yuck, and who wants all those extra calories. Not to mention today i received no pita at all, even though i paid for it. Let's just chuck this in the trash.....Consistency is so important when you own a business, I hope you get it together soon. Service was super slow even though they weren't that busy we've gone to two other pita Jungle location including orders and this place is so disappointing. I hadn't been to this location in a very long time. It was close to a museum we had visited so we decided to eat at one of there, which is one of our favorite restaurants. It wasn't crowded on a Sunday afternoon at about 2 p.m. We were seated immediately and offered beverages. Server was nice and not too friendly, but I don't care about that as long as they're efficient. He did ok. What surprised me is how long it took to get our food. Typically at one of the busiest Pita Jungle locations I know, the food always comes out quickly. It took about 15 minutes to get our food. As usual, food was great with the cilantro jalapeño hummus being my favorite. My son commented that the pitas were a bit stale. I didn't notice that though. All in all another good experience there. Slower service on one occasion won't deter me from returning to one of my favorite places. read more

I got the Za'Atar salmon. It was cooked perfectly. The salad had a fresh spinach base with tomatoes and olives and feta cheese. They served a lemon vinaigrette as well. One vial was enough for me but they gave two. Overall this place serves clean fresh Mediterranean food. I'll return for sure. read more

Over the years we've been here several times, always with a problem. At one meal, my husband ordered the red potatoes. As he was eating he crunched down on a rock! He alerted our server who apologized and comped us for them (a few bucks basically). Didn't even ask if my husband was ok. So I was turned off from them for a year. Went back the other day for another chance and it took 10 minutes to be noticed by the hostess for seating. Wait staff walked right past us to take care of take out orders but no one greeted us or asked if we'd been helped. Finally got seated and waited 15 minutes to be served. Wait staff was all around us but no one came to get our drink order. We just walked out. Never again. read more

Perfect location with easy access off the 101. The next best thing about this spot is it is in close proximity to Mountainside - so after working out we grab dinner to replenish. Favorites: -Get an Arnold Palmer with the Passion tea and lemon. Sweet and tart in all the right ways. -Falafel Pita, this is my jam for lunch. The falafel balls are always on point never over fried and always moist inside. The pickles, onions, tomatoes and tahini are fresh and compliment the flavor of the falafel. -My daughter can't get enough of the kids meal (chicken, brown rice, broccoli and fruit). She gobbles this up. Oh yeah don't forget the root beer! -If it's dinner time - you know I'm getting that Mahi with Pita Chips. The cilantro jalapeño hummus with fresh cilantro and pine nuts goes together like peanut butter and jelly...except it's with fish which makes it even better. The serving of fish is always plenty and it's never under or over cooked. I tried the Ramon for the first time last night. And honestly I'm happier with a package of Ramon Noodles. My problem with Pita Jungles Ramon is the noodles were rubbery and the broth was over salted. Two sips and I was done. To top the meal you know I have to grab a baklava. #satisfied read more

Cool, Urban, Modern, Fresh and Healthy. I have come to expect less from chain restaurants, but not this one, it's a favorite go to spot and The best spot for lunch meetings. Something for everyone, and the price range cant be beat. So many wonderful dishes to try but the caramelized Cauliflower dish is amazing even though PJ is my favorite salad spot in the world. Happy hour is great with excellent tapas style app's cheap and amazing prices for a fantastic wine by the glass. Great food and service at this Pita Jungle! I've dined at three other Pita Jungle locations in town and was in the area of this one so I gave it a go. From what I could see, the menu is pretty consistent at each location as well as the quality of food and customer experience. I would like to give an extra shout out to our waitress at this location as she made our dining experience even better than baseline. My go-to item is the philly chicken pita. I also like to get an order of hummus to put on the pita. It's deliciousness!!!! read more

First of all, I usually love the food and service at this location, but today was not the usual day. It was slow for a Friday lunch. So it was somewhat quiet. It started out with a long wait for someone to acknowledge us and offer us something to drink. When the server brought our drinks he put them down and started to dash off. I asked if we could go ahead and order as my friend was restricted on time. The food came out pretty quickly , which was great, but I was not happy with the small Greek salad I ordered that I added the chicken too. The chicken was cold and extremely tough. Again something that I am not used to. I tried to flag down the waiter but was unsuccessful, so when he did finally come back, my friend had to leave so I just asked for a to go box for my salad. He brought the check with the to go box and dashed away. We waited awhile to pay and then I believe a manager came and picked up our check and credit cards. The server came back and asked how we wanted the check split and we told just split it evenly. When we got our cards and checks back, he had put my meal and drink on my friends card and his meal on mine. The server even asked us what my name was so he would get the charge right....so I'm not sure how that happened. We really didn't have time to correct it so we each paid each others checks and we settled up on our own later. Again not my typical visit, but thought it was worth mentioning. read more

I used to live in Phoenix years ago and would order from this Pita Jungle. The food was always good but they always got the takeaway order incorrect. Every. Single. Time. So since I liked the food so much I just checked every time I ordered food to go and they would fix it. So I was in town for the holidays and since I don't have Pita Jungle where I live now I thought I'd try my usual. I ordered via DoorDash and didn't think there would be an issue for the order since there's less chance for miscommunication given the order is written down (no chance for someone on the phone mishearing or myself misspeaking). Well, it seems like things haven't changed because the order was wrong just the old days. I know it's a first world problem but I just don't see how it's so difficult to get a simple order wrong. The chicken and hummus order should have been baba ganoosh, red bell pepper hummus, and cilantro jalapeño hummus. The order only had the cilantro jalapeño hummus (and it was quite small compared to what I remember this order being). The chicken was also overcooked, dry, and over-seasoned. This dish was not worth eating. I guess my advice would be to check your takeout order before you go home, and do not order via a food delivery app. read more

Yelpers seem to live this place... So I had to see for myself! I'm here for a business trip and was looking for places close to the hotel to walk to. What an awesome little spot! It's kind of hidden back behind some industrial offices... But what a great find! They flavors of this place! Wholly baba Ganesh! Awesome awesome awesome! This place is easy to get on and out of, you can eat there or take it with you. I came in with a group of 10 and ordered off the menu... Sort of. Mark was so amazing and accommodating. He split this and added that, this meat, that side, this sauce and none of that. What a trooper! He even packed up our drinks in "to go cups", split our checks and had us all happy, full and out the door! It seriously was so good, I decided to come back the same day for dinner. ( I NEVER DO THAT! ) I ordered the cilantro jalapeño hummus ( texture and flavors remind me of guacamole! Omg! ) and added chicken and 2 extra pittas. This is soooo big that it's going to be my full meal, with the baklava..... Of course. For all of that plus a huge green tea... 19.00! Worth every stinking penny!! Mark! I finally made it to this new location of Pita Jungle last week for dinner... While it has a different feel to it, I liked it just as much if not more than the other locations. It's modern and spacious and has ample seating both inside and out. Not to mention, you can always count on PJ for an affordable, filling, and healthy meal. I went with a group of five of us on a night that was actually pleasant (not too hot), so we opted to sit outside even though there was a ten minute wait to do so. We sat at the communal table inside and ordered some hummus as an appetizer and then once our table was available, we moved outside. I tried something new this time - the sauteed garlic spinach. I ordered it as an appetizer (i know, kind of weird), but it was the perfect healthy beginning to my macro platter entree. While Jared would not kiss me that night (hello, garlic breath), it was worth it... I enjoyed my meal and our service was attentive as well - and that says a lot since our group went through a ton of water and iced tea. Other items that our group had were greek salad with chicken, some seafood special, chicken schwarma, and curry chicken. Everyone was satisfied and went home with a full belly. I learned that this location is a franchise and not the same owners as the original PJ locations. I think they are planning on opening some additional locations as well. That's fine with me - the more PJ locations, the better. The "Jungle" continues to be an old standby for me, my friends, and family - no matter what location! read more

The food was good but the service was horrible. She just got our order gave us our food and then the bill. The girl never came up to check in on us or refill us. My sister had to raise her hand to get any service. It wasn't even busy and everyone was just hanging out talking and the girls looking in the mirror checking themselves out and playing with their hair. I've been coming to this location for years but my last 2 times at this location have been very disappointing.
