Wow! Wow! Wow! We ordered a platter- Elhams combination platter: Flavor collison of chicken, lamb kabob, grape leaves & falafel. The food was off the charts, we had lamb, grape leaves, hummus, bread, falafel and a side of taboulli. Everything was amazing. The best falafel I have ever tasted. We ate every last bite. Also ordered more to take home! We are on vacation for a week and plan on going back again. The staff was just lovely, all of them. The owner Abdu came over to check on us-how we were liking our dinner. What a wonderful experience from start to finish. read more

Stop by for a lunch during the weekend, surprise to see it empty! Waitress said it usually got packed at night. you can seat yourself, certainly we will pick the ones by the window with some good creek views. We ordered Lamb plate, gyro over rice and salad to share, all tastes good, some of them could be too salty or over sauced. Definitely try the kibbi, Syrian bread, great appetizers. Service is great, keep giving us stuff to try. read more

I was totally impressed by this place. I wasn't expecting much because when we walked in, there was a seat yourself sign. We rounded the corner and what a view!! We had a large group so we sat in the large table towards the front. The server quickly came over and greeted us. She realized the air was blowing directly on us and immediately turned it down (extremely grateful for that!). She then picked up on my nephew's name and was doting on him. She made recommendations for things we were unfamiliar with. When the food came out, it was OUT OF THIS WORLD! The tabbouleh was the best I have ever had. Next time we are in the area, we are going back. read more

Food is fantastic, good views. My family had the lamb kabobs, I had the Sultans mix, made it spicy- delicious!! Service was also fantastic.

Beautiful river behind the restaurant and the food was AMAZING! We chose different platters to sample majority of the menu, and glad we did! The food hit the spot, especially after a long day of travel! Light, flavorful, yet filling. read more

Really not sure how I felt about this place. It is a nice looking restaurant inside with big windows overlooking the creek outside. It would be a nice setting for a date night. We went around 2 in the afternoon on a Saturday and we were the only people there. We were not impressed by the grape leaves or bubbaganiush. The tabouli was pretty good! The grilled lamb was not what I expected. I expected a grilled piece of meat but it was more like crumbled steak-ums. My husband really enjoyed his food but I thought it was average. read more

Every time I am in the area I stop at Elham. It doesn't matter if it is mealtime or not, I have to have it! Eat in or take out you won't be disappointed. I get a multiple order and stash it in the fridge at work for the best lunches ever. My addiction starts with the Chicken Kabob. Perfectly cooked and tender as all heck. They must have magic in that kitchen. Next is Grape Leaves that are rolled long and tight and just melt in your mouth. And the Kibbee is a crunchy piece of yum. Toss it all with that killer garlic sauce and Hummus and you are set for the best middle eastern food around. When I have time I stay to eat at the tables next to the picture window. Seriously some of the best food around! read more

We love Elhams! We sadly have not been there for awhile but had a wonderful meal on Friday night. We got there a little after 7:00 and saw several people leaving with takeout but only about 5 tables with people inside the restaurant. They have done some updates with the decor and it looks great. We had a wonderful waitress. The only bad thing is one of our favorite appetizer is no longer on the menu...our waitress said we were the third table that night disappointed. We shared the hummus and the grape leaves. The hummus was so good and the bread is dreamworthy! The grapes leaves are made a little different than what we like but we can tell some people would love these. I got a small lamb kabob with double rice and my husband and father in law got the Sultans Mix. The lamb and rice were cooked to perfection. The white sauce and peppers are always a favorite add on to every bite. We always start thinking about our next trip back before we even leave read more

Excellent food and Service, the atmosphere and decor are welcoming and warm. Highly Recommended

If you're wanting a great experience with wonderful food, pleasant atmosphere, soothing music and more, you've come to the wrong place! We were told that the food was great, but the kibble and grape leaves were poor, and the lamb was fair. We hope that it improves the next time we come to town. But the staff were very nice! read more

Love this place and visit whenever at the dog shows in New Castle. Great food and service.

Food is awesome, my favorite lamb over rice with kibbi and a Syrian tea. Service is great and very personable staff.

The food and service is amazing and I love the stream you can see while you're eating!

This is a casual dining Mediterranean restaurant right on the river. The restaurant was clean and the service was great! There were two large parties dining that each had more than 20 guests while we were there and our food still came out hot and tasty. I had the lamb plate with mushrooms and onions. The lamb was a little over cooked (I asked for it medium and it came out medium-well), but it was still delicious. We also ordered a hummus appetizer wth pita. We selected three different hummus' and they were all very good. They also have a very tasty garlic and oil condiment that I couldn't get enough of. Our server was a little inexperienced, but there were at least 5 other people that checked on us and assisted throughout our time there. I definitely recommend this place. Next time I'm visiting I would love to go back. read more

I love this place! I can never get enough. The Kibbie is so good so make sure you order an extra piece. No pictures because I housed everything on my plate. The peppers in oil the hummus, it's all good. Don't pass this place up if you're interested in Mediterranean food. You can also order online and pickup. read more

Huge variety of amazing food. Staff is extremly friendly and family orianted. The hummus with lamb is my favorite appetizer. And as far as entrees you can't go wrong. I usually get the lamb platter with grapeleaves, tabuli, hummus with pepper and garlic sauce. I could eat this meal every day of my life. If you are nearby, Elhams is a must have! read more

I have been dining at Elham's for years with my family and it is one of my favorite family owned restaurants in New Castle. This family started out in a small space in a plaza and worked their way to a bigger restaurant. Abdou is now opening another restaurant called Pita which will sell, breakfast pitas, salads, vegetarian pitas, and more. I know my family and I can't wait to try it!! Elham's menu is pretty extensive and there isn't a dish that I have tried that I didn't like. My go-to dish is the chicken over rice. It comes with chicken, peppers, onion and mushrooms. The spices are just right and I always end up with left overs because the portion sizes are so big. We always get an order of grape leaves to share before our meals come out and these are some of the best grape leaves around. The lemon, to rice and meat ratio is just right. I can't forget to mention the yogurt sauce for dipping the grape leaves, it's one of the best!!! I have never been a fan of garlic sauce so the yogurt sauce is a must. No other dipping sauce really compares in my opinion. I love dipping the fresh Syrian bread in this sauce as well. The food is always consistent and the prices are just right! read more

I was assured that I would like this place by someone who doesn't know me very well. Or maybe they do... We ate here for dinner. The service was good. The place seemed clean. The view is interesting. And the food was quite good. And there was a lot of food. The portions are enormous - enough for two meals (not a complaint). And a full bar. What's not to like? read more

The food is amazing here! The menu offers a great variety too not just mediterranean. They have sandwiches, cheeseburgers, and a kids menu. They do catering as well. My usual is lamb over rice or chicken over rice. The garlic sauce and peppers are a must for those dishes. There is an option to make the chicken dishes more spicy if you want. Their syrian bread is so buttery soft and tasty and they are not stingy about refilling if you want more. The portions are huge and pretty reasonable price for the amount of food. The mediterranean appetizer platter is also delicious and comes with kibbe, grape leaves, hummus, tabouli, all tasted delicious! They used to be located in a different plaza but this is a better location as it is a lot bigger and now they have a bar. Looks like you can rent or hold an event on an area of the restaurant because it is a really huge space. Not sure but would be a good idea. Nice big windows on the side where you can see the trees. The only thing is that since they have a bigger place, they probably need more servers because the lady who was helping us took some time. She seemed to be running around the entire restaurant. She did apologize and was pleasant. They were busy during dinner time. It was ok because the salads, bread and appetizer stuffed us for awhile. read more

Elham's is definitely a family favorite restaurant of mine. They really meet the mark in all catagories. They're family owned, the staff is always so friendly and helpful, very accommodating. The food is absolutely phenomenal and rarely have I ever had any problems with it, and the few times I have the staff are very quick to help make it right. Not to mention the building is beautiful, wonderful seating with a nice bar and a good view. Overall always a pleasant experience. read more

Giving them a 4 because it was a carry out... not a dine in. The food was delicious! Good quality. We ordered lamb over rice, chicken over rice, lamb on the rod and the sultans dish. All of it was great. Recommend in New Castle! read more

I have been eating here for years and keep coming back for more because it is always consistently great. It's a true testament to the quality you will find at a 'family owned and operated restaurant'. The chicken on the rod is marinated perfectly and the sides are always fresh. The loaves of Syrian bread are made fresh daily and everything about this place is authentic. I highly recommend the chicken on the rod, the falafel sandwich and the lamb. The takeout food from here is just as good as eating in the restaurant. Definitely worth the visit to check this place out. read more

This is a great place. The food was very good the wait staff is wonderful, specifically, Patty. She was the friendliest, most helpful waitress I've had in a very long time. Her recommendations were perfect. The bread and garlic dips were delicious. I moved to western PA from Los Angeles and the food here stands up to any Mediterranean food I've had in L.A. Thank you Patty for a wonderful day and my compliments to the chef. P.s. I had the kufta platter and my friends had chicken over rice and Lamb kebob platter. All was enjoyed. read more
