To say we were not disappointed is an understatement; we were stunned at how enjoyable the experience was. Everything.. EVERYTHING about this place is wonderful. Service was very attentive, friendly and helpful (and our waitress had only been working there 1 month.) The overall ambiance was stimulating and captivating. Stimulating because the music Powerhouse 60s hits from Ray Charles, Tom Jones, the Beatles and more was a *perfect* choice to enjoy yet not disrupt quiet conversation. Stimulating because the decor was so unique and interesting. And because just the vibe of everyone in there really enjoying themselves was palpable. What about the food you say? Every ingredient of all 4 different taco choices we made was wonderful; fresh, tasty and well prepared and presented. It's not very close to us but we are already excitedly figuring out when we can get back there - and I'm confident we are going to become regulars. It's a small place so going at peak meal hours might risk waiting. They have about 10 tables as well as another 8 or 10 stools at the bar. We did not drink so cannot review that aspect. We were told the place had come under new management in the last few months. As well as that place seemed to be functioning, we would never have guessed that. PS I didn't know until we ordered that they were giving free tacos to veterans, so that's a really cool mark on their patriotism and sense of community. PS 2 Small warning: The bench seats at the east (entrance) wall cut off circulation in my legs.

Got a seat at the bar and ordered a NA mojito and it was delicious, and also at only $5 I appreciated the price- sometimes NA drinks are as much as the full alcohol kind. Great attentive service and friendly chats with the employees. I went with the nachos which were SOOO good. Nachos are one of mh favorite foods, so I know good nachos- especially loved the pickled onions and that there were tons of toppings. My friend got two tacos with beef- can't remember the exact kinds but he enjoyed them. Such a great spot and will be back.

They had fresh flowers on each table, which was such a nice touch. As soon as we sat down, we were served crispy pinwheels and hot sauce. The chimichanga was on specials and it was beautifully presented, almost reminding me of a giant dumpling! You can choose from a variety of different options for protein, so I chose steak. It had a creamy sauce surrounding it, and also came with salad and rice. The rice was flavorful and the salad had some guac on it, so it was creamy and good. The Al pastor torta was more like a flat bread/ pita sandwich, and was filled with diced Al pastor, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. We ordered a side of grilled onions and peppers, which were spicy and went well with the torta. We ordered jalapeños but we were served Serranos, which were even spicier! The server was really welcoming and efficient. You can pay the bill as you walk out, and credit cards incur a fee. Tips are also separate and you can give it directly to the server! They also had some desserts on display but we were too full to indulge this time.

This Chicharrones De Harina (Mexican wheel chips) time Richelle got the quesadillas fritas and I got the pambazo and we ordered the avacado dip appetizer. Instead of tortilla chips they gave us chicharrones de harina (Mexican wheel chips), to try. We have not had chicharrones de harina before but they are a fun change from the stand tortilla chips. Service is always fantastic. The dinner area still throws me because it is more casual American country style verse some Mexican styles.

I called and they shuffled me to three different people. Finally, I spoke to someone and explained the situation. He acted as if I had done something wrong. Eventually, he stated I could come up and get a refund. I, unfortunately, won't be going back. They're expensive for what you get and I'm not understanding the attitude. A few things: there was an up charge for refried beans, (a whole dollar for a spoon of) sour cream, and guac. I could understand the guac. However, since it's a vege taco (no meat) I would think the rest would come with it. While I do love when places include veggie options I feel as if the up charge wasn't necessary for their VG options. And catering to the VG options as a whole should be included in the price.

While I had Chicken & Waffles (from Ironworks, not Chido's), my wife had tacos, which also happens to be conveniently situated beside the Market's full bar I'll skip other details about your trip as they are in my Ironworks review, but for the tacos, they were the perfect street taco size, full of flavor and zest. The sauce to protein balance was on point, which if your a taco fan means a lot. The proteins were not too dry and were very flavorful to the final bite with a side of green Verde sauce to pep the meal up! Overall, highly recommend for the options, atmosphere, and obviously good food!
