    We just installed a generator, and the company we had contacted for propane on the day of the…read moreinstallation simply didn't show up - despite our being told that the propane would be delivered "first thing in the morning." They supposedly had an emergency. (See below about how fast they returned my call when I cancelled their service.) I contacted Waltz in a panic and, once they ascertained that we owned our tanks, they were able to get to us the same day and within a few hours and, after ensuring that everything was as it should be with our tanks, filled the tanks. I want to add that - as opposed to the former company, who did not respond to my emergency call inquiring as to where they were and ONLY called me back when I left a message saying they were no longer needed (and they called back seven minutes after *that* message) - each and every time I called Waltz & Sons the calls were answered promptly and courteously and my questions answered. Although I didn't appreciate the former company's "let them eat cake" and "we'll get back to you when it suits us" attitude, I consider that now that we are customers of Waltz & Sons, everything DEFINITELY ended up all for the best! I should add that the people who provided and installed our generator said that they have had a number of dealings with Waltz & Sons and recommended them highly. In addition, months before, I had compared prices for about six propane companies with Waltz coming in as the second least expensive and the company that never showed being least expensive, so paying a TINY BIT more to actually deal with a competent and efficient company that shows up has turned out to be well worth it.

As I was getting out of my car, I realized that the delivery person a.k.a. the owner had ripped my gate off my fence. When I asked him if that's what actually happened he said "there was ice there. What was I supposed to do?" Not : "I'm sorry " "It was accidental " "I pulled too hard" But "WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO?!?!" Perhaps- not deliberately destroy my fence?!? There were indeed other options- including leaving or asking me to open it. Maybe he feels entitled because he's the owner. I was in the driveway when he arrived with my headlights on- as I had just pulled in. However, he never communicated any concerns to me just ripped the gate off. Then accused me of not taking care of my property. Class act !! It may make NO difference to him if I never use his service again- but you can be sure I will share my experience. And thankfully it is all on my security camera as well. I will be sending an invoice for repairs.

I called Rinaldi at 7:15 Ron was here around 9:15 and gone before 10. He was very helpful and informative. He knew what it was right away and fixed it. I scheduled an estimate and a cleaning in November and they cxld the estimate twice and never called me back to reschedule the 3rd time and the cleaning they came and cancelled due to not allowing enough time to finish it, they rescheduled it last minute. Last night I called for emergency service - and they have no tech available. Today, I called to get added on for a delivery and they could not accommodate that until Monday. It's going to be below zero and snowing all weekend. At that point, I cancelled my account. I don't see a reason to have one if they can't do anything for me as a customer when I need it. I'm not sure how they service customers in Southern Maine; as I live in Lewiston. However, it's clear to me they don't really want to service up here and should just stop offering it.

We are also Pro members. Unfortunately, after today's experience, we will no longer be shopping at Lowe's. I went into Lowe's to return an Orbit water wand that I purchased approximately two weeks ago. The product is defective--it continues to spray water even when shut off. I did not have my paper receipt, but I provided my information and explained that I am a Pro member and have a MyLowe's account where purchases are tracked. The associate spent more than 25 minutes attempting to locate the purchase, even after confirming on her device that it was the exact product sold by Lowe's. What should have been a simple return turned into an unnecessarily frustrating experience over an $18 item. I then asked to speak with a manager. Instead of coming to customer service, the manager responded over the radio that they were "busy out back" and never came to address the situation. What disappointed me most was not the defective product--it was the complete lack of customer service and accountability. Customers deserve better than being left waiting and ignored when they ask to speak with management. I've shopped at both Lowe's and Home Depot over the years, and the difference in customer service is night and day. In my experience, Home Depot has consistently made returns and customer concerns straightforward and hassle-free. I rarely post negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I felt compelled to share it. Lowe's has lost not only my business but also my confidence in their commitment to customer service. If Lowe's wants to retain loyal customers, management needs to start paying attention to what is happening at the store level.

    I have been a customer for many years, but unfortunately their customer service has consistently…read morebeen disappointing. I recently ordered 170 gallons of oil, and their online portal quoted me $471.24 (which works out to about $2.77 per gallon). That seemed unusually low compared to the local average of $2.99-$3.09, but since their system confirmed it, I placed the order. When they delivered, they were only able to fill 134.8 gallons, but instead of honoring the quoted rate, they charged me $3.09 per gallon -- over $424. This was a huge discrepancy compared to what I should have paid based on their own quote (about $373). When I questioned it, I was repeatedly told the system was wrong and was essentially dismissed. Even a manager implied I was "confused," rather than acknowledging that their online pricing system gave inaccurate information. Mistakes and glitches can happen, but the way a company handles them matters. A respectful resolution -- even honoring the day's posted price of $2.99 -- would have gone a long way. Instead, I was told my confirmation screenshot "meant nothing" and that they would not stand behind their online system. Because of this, I can't recommend ordering from them. Their online pricing is not reliable, and their customer service is unwilling to work with customers when issues arise.
