FORTUNATELY,…read moreI've had the pleasure of working with Sarah each time and have been thrilled with her support and the outcome of the work done each time. The first time was substantial damage caused by a deer that ended up taking several weeks. There were issues with getting parts and some engine issues that were challenging, but Sarah was helpful and kept me informed along the way. This last time, was my own carelessness that caused a blemish on my car. I had thought it was just in one spot and Sarah quickly pointed out another part that was scratched I hadn't noticed, so I applaud her attention to detail. The car was ready before schedule and looks fantastic. If I had any criticism, there was a man in their "back office" the last time I was there who I felt was behaving unprofessionally (not to me, but to some of the female employees).

I took my vehicle to Gerber collision and glass because they were the preferred collision repair shop recommended by the insurance company. (travelers Insurance) When I dropped it off, 6/24/25, for repair it was Mechanically sound and functioning correctly. I was driving it daily with no issues. The day I was to pick it up, 7/8/25, The sales person and I looked at the repairs they made due to being rear ended about 6 weeks prior. After settling the bill. I got in to drive away and the car stalled and died as soon as I took My foot off the accelerator. I struggled to get it to start again, drove a very short distance and again it stalled and died when I took my foot off the accelerator. I was less than a 1/8 of a mile from the parking lot. I limped the vehicle back into Gerber parking lot and talked with the sales rep managing my claim. They said "we can run a code scan but we are not a mechanic." The sale rep had trouble getting it started to drive it into the garage for diagnostic scan. The Diagnostic scan was performed, they said they would need to tow it to a Mechanic for further diagnosis. Some where in the process of the repairs performed something happened so that the vehicle will not function mechanically. Gerber says they are not responsible for that. Long story, short, it's 7/18/25 and I still don't have a vehicle returned functioning properly. When I take a vehicle to have repairs made I expect to get the vehicle back functioning in the same manner, hopefully in better condition than the way it was taken to the place to have repairs made. Lesson learned: Test drive the vehicle Prior to paying the final bill.

    What a disappointment…read more On December 19, 2022 I went to McCarthy Collision, in Olathe KS, for an estimate on my 2019 Nissan Rouge. At that time I set up an appointment for January 26, 2023 to have my car repaired (minor incident involving the rear bumper, right side); no other damage to any other body parts. I was also told it would take 4 business days to repair (replace) the rear bumper; I also paid $832.45 for parts (did not use my insurance since it would be less than $2,000). Please remember all this was done on December 19, 2022. On January 25, 2023 I dropped off, to McCarthy Collision in Olathe KS, my Rogue. On January 31, 2023 (the day I was told it would take 4 days to repair my car) I called, since I had a doctors appointment on February 1st, and was informed that McCarthy Collision did not have all the parts. The major question I have .."why wasn't I told by someone, anyone when I dropped my car off on January 25th and gave the keys to the receptionist that all the parts weren't in?" Please remember i paid for the parts on December 19th. I had to spent extra monies to rent a car to get my doctors appointment (canceling was not an option since it takes months to reschedule a doctors appointment). This is piss poor customer service. Before anyone says anything, I don't believe Covid-19 had anything to do with McCarthy not getting all of the parts in. People are to eager to blame everything on Covid. Ok, let's say not getting the parts were Covid related. That should have not stopped them (McCarthy) from calling me on the phone, or even emailing me that they did not have all the parts and not to bring the car in until they were ready to repair the car. My car was finally done on February 7, 2023. Needless to say, if I am in need of any bodywork on any vehicles I own I will not be taking them to any McCarthy Collision centers in the metro area.
