We went here for mini golf and go karting for our anniversary week in Traverse City, we absolutely loved our experience here that we came back here 3 times!! The workers is nice, I liked how lot independency we had at here! Recommend to come here between 4-6 pm as that seems to be less crowded comparing to after dinner time to their closing time, it's crowded as it's cooler for everyone. So keep in mind come here on a good weather day! Hats , sunglasses & cold water to keep yourself hydrated. There's drink vending machines of cold sodas and waters. There's also nice maintenance air conditioned restrooms! Seems very accessible as there is alternative ramps everywhere and printed out stories board at the every holes! We wanted a lighter dinner and stopped here. Mostly a bar with food. We ordered the Pine Cones, mashed potatoes in a breading that looks like pine cones. These were tasty. I ordered a Monte Cristo and my spouse ordered a Patty Melt. The Patty Melt was what you expect from a bar type place. Nothing special but not terrible. The fries were very tasty. Steak type fries. The Monte Crisco was not what I expected. It was just a ham, turkey, cheese on Texas toast. No egg dip. Fairly dry. The kettle chips were normal. Entered Pirate's Cove after sitting in another nearby establishment for 15 minutes without any contact or acknowledgement by the staff. So you can understand that I had low expectations. All I wanted was a cold beer and decent food. After entering Pirate's Cove and taking a seat at a high top against the wall the waitress/bartender arrived at our table within a minute. A couple of cold beers arrived a couple of minutes later. Nice start. Within a few minutes we had a couple of good sandwiches, and a great cup of brown chili! Horrible service. Mediocre food. Stopped in a few minutes before happy hour ended and ordered a couple beers at the happy hour price. You would think I asked the bartender to sacrifice her first born... Looked over the menu, and amongst the typical pub fare, I spotted one of my favorites... The beloved monte cristo. The menu listed all the key ingredients, and I quickly ordered one. Upon its arrival, it was cheese, turkey, ham and Texas style bread, lightly grilled on the flat top. While passing through Menominee I spotted Pirate's Cove and decided to stop to eat there. The bartender, which was probably also the owner, explained that he couldn't serve me outside because of a technicality issue with the town or something, but I could still sit outside and pick up the food myself, so that was nice. It has a very nice view of the park onlooking the marina, and it is in a nice spot of the town. After I ordered I waited a bit more than an hour for the food to arrive, which didn't bother me because I didn't have anywhere to go in a rush, but it would be less than ideal if you want food fast. The bartender explained that there was only one chef serving a pretty busy restaurant, which was understandable. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries, and it was actually quite nice despite the wait. The fries were fresh and crispy and the burger was nice too. I like to keep a positive mindset so honestly I didn't mind the wait because it allowed me to relax and see the boats in the marina and enjoy a nice warm meal in the end. read more

I love this place! it is my favorite place to eat when I am visiting my family in Marinette. I eat here every time I come up here from Milwaukee. The bartenders are always nice and attentive.
