I had about eight large trees that I needed removed from my yard. The first place I called never returned my phone call. The second place set up an appointment for an estimate but never showed, the third was Mr. Pippin, who shows up promptly at the appointed time, looked at the trees I had requested removed, made a few suggestions, then gave me an estimate.
A few of the trees were on my neighbors property line so he ensured I had their permission and made sure I had coordinated with then since he would be partially working in their yard.
He showed up on the agreed upon day with two other people and began work. He didn't park any vehicles on my lawn, everything stayed on the street and they carried the log sections to the street. When dropping the sections of the tree he had them roped so that they did not put huge divots in my or my neighbors yard. He also used tarps to catch much of the debris. His team spent three days working on my trees and throughly cleaned up at the end of each day so that my yard didn't resemble a work site.
An important thing for me was that Mr. Pippin not only did the estimate but he also was the one doing the work (sadly that seems to almost never be the case anymore). This ensured there were no miscommunications between the work agreed upon and the work completed. I don't know if I could have gotten a lower price, but I believe I received a fair price for three Americans preforming three days of hard physical labor and supplying all of their own tools and equipment.
I highly recommend Pippin Tree Service for Mr. Pippin's quality of work and his personal professionalism. read more
