I had a large oak tree cut down in my backyard, which left a 39" across by 13" high stump. I called…read morenumerous tree services and stump removal companies. Many of the companies didn't return my phone messages, phone numbers were disconnected and those that did provided a quote it was based on a picture I sent them with dimensions. However, when they came out to do the work they informed me that they couldn't do the work for the quoted price and doubled the price for the job. It was an extremely frustrating process. I took a few weeks off and when I started the search again I was blessed enough to find Stump-B-Gone on a website. When I contacted the owner operator Steve Previtali about the job, he actually came out and assessed the job and provided quality information. Stump-B-Gone is a licensed and insured business. Steve gave a great quote for the job and desired to start the job that evening. I would strongly recommend Stump-B-Gone for stump grinding, due to his professional demeanor, attention to detail and outstanding work.

Jimmy, the owner, came out to give us an estimate, emailed the estimate soon after, checked in at the job site both times, made sure that the crew and I were on the same page before the work commenced, and emailed an invoice once the work was complete. I so appreciate that after dealing with many contractors that don't show, or take weeks to send estimates, etc. Our whole family loves to watch the crew work...it's amazing how synchronized the team is during the removal and clean up. The crew is friendly and courteous. It's amazing to me that they can come take down giant trees, be in and out in less than half a day, with not a branch or leaf left behind. Highly recommend! Love their emailed job quotes/proposal acceptance/payment option!

When I saw the Everett workers outside, I asked them if they could trim the tree. I'm not sure if the tree was on their list or not, but they gladly obliged. They asked my neighbor exactly what she wanted done with the tree. I also mentioned to them about another tree that was leaning over the sidewalk, and they took that tree down too! Later on, I noticed that by mistake they took an orange cone that I keep in my parking spot so that my car doesn't hit the sewer grating. I called the company, and they brought it back the same evening! That's good service.

I highly recommend them for their scientific knowledge and honest advice.

Mike no longer comes out with the crew, so they cut down the wrong tree the last time they came. They cut down a very large, healthy tree. They tried to convince me the tree was diseased, but when Mike walked the yard to determine the work that needed to be done, he didn't identify it as diseased. Then, they tried to convince me I was mistaken about which tree needed to be removed. I don't know much about trees, but I know the difference in my front yard and my back yard. The tree they took down was in my front yard. The dead tree was in my back yard. I recently tried to get them back out to take down the dead tree. After coming home from work to meet them twice, they cancelled on me at the last minute both times. I hope they can do a better job of managing appointments and communicating amongst themselves in the future.
