This went on for a couple of days and finally I got frustrated and canceled the order. Lo and behold the day I canceled it showed up in the mail! Had it not shown up this would have been a one star review. Solid prices, shady business practices. Customer Appreciation promo labeled certain things eligible for free shipping. Verbiage on the promo said nothing of a minimum spending amount before shipping is free. It DID show spending amounts for freebies and add-ons, but not for free shipping. Instead, thumbnail previews of items eligible for free shipping said as much in the corner. So I was surprised to load a cart up with a bunch of the "free shipping" items only to see that I was charged shipping on the invoice. I called P&C to advise them of their misprint/false advertising and was met largely with shrugs and a refusal to guarantee that my order could be canceled. First off , web site says no opened tobacco returned but it wasn't sealed to start with. It was a Gallon sized zip lock bag. Ok. So I orders from them online before reading all the reviews. I most likely would have avoided them if I had. With that said. I made a large order on a Tuesday morning around 9am Eastern Time for overnight delivery as it was a gift for a friend that weekend. On the website it states if you order before 2pm it ships same day. The order sat in processing from through Tuesday into Wednesday. I though, hey large order, maybe takes them to next day to fill and it will ship. Wednesday morning I used the contact form and sent a request for an update. No response, no confirmation email. So I did it again, thinking maybe I did it wrong. Same results. Wednesday afternoon around 1:45 Eastern I called the toll free number. I spoke with an employee, who stated there was a hold on the order and should have gotten an email from the Shares Services (Cigars International) needing verification info from me. I checked my email, spam, etc. No emails. The employee was polite and transferred me to the call queue for fulfillment. I was forced to leave a message. I did get a call back about 45 minutes later from a fulfillment agent. Apparently, as a first time buyer from Pipes and Cigars, they have to verify you, which will take a few days, before they can fulfill the orders. So they verified me (shipping and billing address), refunded me the overnight shipping, and shipped the next day overnight. I got it on Friday, in time. My complaint is they did not mention this verification delay on the website. 2 days later still has not contacted me. If I had not called and followed up, I would not have gotten my order in time. Seems petty, but a simple notice via email, or during the purchase/order process would have been nice. The order came fulfilled properly. Everything was just as I expected. Only complaint is the bags of tobacco were not labeled properly, only had SKU on them, no other identification. Had to look them up on their site by SKU. I finally called customer service and after waiting on hold for nearly an hour to talk with someone, I was told my order was "placed on hold." I asked why, they didn't know I asked why no one reached out and emailed me, why no one responded to my website contact request, why no one responded to my Facebook page. No idea why. the CSR released the order and it was finally shipped and received. They finally followed up to my messages by email. I expressed my disappointment with their service and never got any response. I'll go back to Cigars International and pay more for better service. You lost a customer. read more

I have purchased here multiple times but I will no longer do business here, I purchased $60 in stuff, it was for 6 items, I only got 2 items because they said the others were in backorder, so I emailed them and said just cancel those and refund me fir the backordered ones, I was told 5 different times they don't charge until it's all been shipped out, however they charged the full amount, I confirmed this on my bank app and with the bank itself, even got all the proof and sent them, but they continued to talk to me like I was stupid saying it was not charged for full amount and that the rest had been refunded which had not been, I had to open a dispute with my bank to get refunded, I will be taking my business elsewhere for now on, I wished I had seen before hand that this place is rated a 1 for a reason read more
