I started buying from Cigars international sometime after moving to San Diego in 1997. I been a customer for a long time and they had provided good service over the years and I have recommended them to many people. But now, very recently I moved to Prescott Arizona. I called CI in Bethlehem and phoned in an order with my new address and info. I paid extra for quick shipping. Now after all this time they sent me a request for proof of age. What? If I had been one year old when I first ordered I'd be old enough But, I gave them the requested information. It was evidently not sufficient, so I provided a copy of my new Drivers License with my picture. I am 74. Never heard back. Today I call age verification. They confirmed my age. But now my Order was cancelled yesterday. I provided the requested info on time. Where is my refund. I had to reorder. Where is the refund for the extra I paid for fast shipping? This is not quick service! They provide good cigars at a good price, JUST DON'T MOVE. This has been a very frustrating experience. read more

I ordered from Cigars International (which I guess is there online store). After a week, I saw 2 unauthorized payments from Cigars Bethlehem in my account for over $200 each. Because I'm not an asshole, I try to give people the benefit of doubt, and figured it was an honest mistake. After calling a few times with no success (no live customer support), I decided to look up the company that charged my account, and it came back to here. After reading the reviews going all the way back to 2018, I noticed this is a recurring issue here. Again, I understand if this is an honest mistake, but if this is happening since 2018, this is at best negligence, and at worst, criminal. I'm reporting this business to the BBB. read more

This shop is amazing. An incredible array of the world'S best cigar brands, all well displayed, with fair prices and many discounted. The staff was kind, professional and helpful. They are right in downtown Bethlehem PA. For Cigar Aficionados, this is Mecca. They mail anywhere and have mail order catalogs at the door. It's refreshing to see that there is a first rate cigar shop with this much floor space, and this much inventory, and high end inventory, in downtown Bethlehem. Honestly, there is no cigar shop in downtown Philadelphia that is as good as this one, and we know New York City recently closed one of its best. Whenever I'm in downtown Bethlehem and have the time, I stop in for a cigar. It's a small, crowed shop, but they have a lot inside. The lounge area is small and cluttered and needs cleaned. The guys in the shop are always great and so is the service. I always ask for their recommendations on something new. I also order from their website and have had nothing but good experiences. Great spot that is tucked away on Main St. Above average selection of cigars at fair prices. The staff is fantastic and knowledgeable about what they are selling. Nate was working during my visit. He assisted several customers who all left happy customers. Great relationship with his regulars. I spent about two hours in the shop while waiting for my wife to complete a nursing certification exam. I enjoyed an Fuente Hemingway and a Perdomo lot 23. The only flaw in the shop is the size. There is outdoor seating and limited lounge space inside. So if you are looking for a place to relax with more than a friend, this might not be your best option. However, if you want to grab a few and enjoy them with friends elsewhere, then this is a must stop! read more

New to online cigar purchases. A friend of mine recommended Cigars International. Placed my first order with them, received everything as promised and on time. They accept PalPal for payment so you are protected. The cigars were fresh as can be, Have not had a bad one yet. My taste is for Macanudo and Moticrisco's. Both were priced well below my local cigar shop and fresher. They even threw in a few sampler packs. I had a few questions prior to the order so I called them, they were helpful and knowledgeable in answering my questions. I placed an order on December 18, for Only Christmas gift for husband was suppose to be shipped in two days, never got a package. Husband did not get a present called December 26th, poor customer service, explained no gift my husband how I felt terrible and they told me it hasn't even left the factory. Used to enjoy visiting their stores. They have a cigarfest every year in the poconos, in May. Attended last year, it was fun, and wanted to return this year. They have this whole pre-signup online thing, I followed it to the letter and wanted two tickets. At 2:00:01pm on the day to buy, I logged on, and their server was obviously overloaded. I tried several times over the next minute, and finally got through, with a message that they were sold out for both days. Is this fair? They charge full price for their cigars, if you complain about cigarfest tickets, they have an "oh well" attitude, it's a 3 hour drive for me to their closest store, I mean... I think I will take a moratorium on purchasing from them, until they get their act together, maybe a larger venue so everyone can buy a $150 ticket? I'll just buy $300 of cigars from JR, Famous, or Thomson. Have our own party. Glad they can afford$$$ to treat customers this way. read more

Great shop. Wonderful selection, with premiums on offer and very very good service. Horrible ventilation and cramped quarters make it not the best place to smoke, but at least while the weather is nice enough to sit out front on Main St., I'll take this location over the Nazareth Pike location any day. To think that this is my second cigar store review and I don't even smoke cigars ... I don't usually venture into a cigar store on my own -- I usually have my husband in tow (or rather, I'm in tow). The first two things I noticed in this store were the huge selection (the entire place is one big humidor) and the smoke. This store is thick with cigar smoke because it also serves as a lounge. Another cigar store we frequent is a lot more spacious and the lounge is a bit more seperate, so the smoke isn't something I tend to notice as much there. In this store, you can see it. Just be aware if this could be an issue for you or maybe a kid you have with you. The store was clean and well organized and the prices were very reasonable. They seemed to have a wider than usual variety of brands as well as sizes of the different cigars (I know my husband sometimes likes the option of a cigar that takes a little less time to smoke). No one offered to help us while we were there, so that's the only reason I didn't give Cigars International a 5. It was a busy weekend (Harvest Festival), so maybe if we went at more of an off time the service would be better in that respect. This is a cigar store that's definitely worth checking out. read more

To whom it may concern: I have recently started ordering cigar from cigar international in January, and the cigars have been great! However, last week (6/6/2018) my debit card was fraudulently used in Wyoming Pa, which is approximately one hour away from your headquarters. I have never been to the East cost nor have I recently travel outside the state of California. Now I know that credit card numbers can be stolen from just about anywhere and used all across the world. And, there is no proof that my card number was compromised at your company. However, it is one heck off a coincidence! I called customer service to give a heads up, but I was not allowed to speak to a manager like I requested and the customer service rep. became defensive. Located in downtown this has a good deal of what you might want & the staff is very knowledgeable & can assist in your finding what you want. Also this place during decent weather has tables/chairs so you can smoke outside & yes they even smoke in the place & for me the other nice little thing is that PA has no tax on cigars (sorry Karin). Terrible, avoid them. They take forever and then some to answer the phone. It might take you 24 hours. They always have an excuse. This is my second order and both times they shipped to the billing address instead of my mailing addess. The shipments take 10 day. No reason for this. Thompson take 4 days. read more

This used to be my goto cigar shop, but ever since they "upgraded their website " haven't been able to contact the company. On 4/18:17 on hold 10 minutes before I hung up, tried back at 6:21 on hold for 6 minutes then gave up. Tried again on 4/19 @3:30 the phone rang with out any answer for over 2 minutes, tried again 5 minutes later on hold (suprise) for 8 minutes. Tried again 4/21 at 11:46 while I'm on hold I decided to write this review, as great as the selection is not being able to #1 change my address #2 place an order in4 days tells me that this company is probably going out of business soon (I've been on hold now for 20 minutes) so I'll just have to get my box of " Fuentes Hemingways " locally. I went there and wanted to buy some cigars, which where reasonably priced with a big sticker on the box. After paying I discovered I was over charged. I showed the clerk my receipt and pointed out the sticker price. He just shrugged his shoulders and said: " So, I can change the sticker easily, what is the problem?" I pointed out it's easy to lure customer with a low price into the store and then over charge him. It's against the law in PA. After a while he agreed to refund me the difference, because he pointed out he is a nice guy . No, I think he was an arrogant jerk. Cigars International has a nice selection, but watch carefully when paying what sticker price says on the box and what they charge you. Some of the sales people are really condescending. read more

A superb selection coupled with expert, knowledgeable staff. I'll go here every once in a while in order to get a cigar or two for those special occasions that tend to pop up. Each time I've ended up with exactly what I wanted, and for a reasonable price. The guys that work there are very well mannered and know more than some of the other cigar shops I've visited, and the selection is greater by far than just about every single other place I've been to. Regular customer, switched companies when they did their software upgrade and had horrid service that was only supposed to last a weekend that lasted a few months. Decided to give them another shot. Ordred and paid for next day delivery (properly and on time). They did not arrive next day, 1st customer service rep verified and promised to refund the delivery fee. Ok, but did not save me from buying cigars from a local walk in store at inflated prices to hold me over. When my refund did not come, the 2nd customer service rep also stated i would get delivery fee refunded, yet still no refund over a month later. So between consistently waiting past paid delivery dates and bad customer service. I am done and looking for a new place to spend my hard earned money. read more

I've been buying from here for years and recently got a letter saying they had voluntarily provided the tax authority in my state information about my purchases so they can come after me for sales tax. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Three weeks and still have not received my order. To reach them you have to keep calling until the phone finally rings and then wait at least 30 min on hold for someone to pick up. You cannot cancel an order because they say its being processed. I can not cancel my credit card because the bank says it has been approved but C I has not billed the card yet. I am in total limbo not knowing when or if I will ever receive my order. read more

I got the same issue, two orders #CI010010910 and #CI010010765. I ordered on 15 Feb and still did not receive my order. I emailed thousands of times with zero response , got a BS auto response email about how hard they are working around the clock to get my order out. I finally got through after a 45 minute wait. Order was re-routed back to the warehouse, no update whatsoever and did not even offer to have my order shipped out again. I had to ask for a refund; worse thing about it is that I was really looking forward to receive my order being out to sea right now on an Aircraft Carrier sitting out in the western Pacific. This company went down the hill; I was a true and faithful customer for years. I could always count on them for fast shipping even while I was sitting in the Gulf but now...I am switching to Famous and will make it a personal commitment to sully their reputation whenever my friends ask me who they should go with for cigar shipments. read more
