We enjoyed a sampling of 6 wines with dry and sweet whites/reds and the blueberry wines that we were lucky enough to have a quick peak into one of the workers as he was stirring blueberries in a large box. The moment we went into the back area we were welcomed with the aroma of blueberry that put a smile on my face. I love this place because they don't try too hard to do too much. They have the personality, flavor and feel of a smaller vineyard that anyone will enjoy if they go.

This is a delightful, home-grown and professional operation. I called in advance and spoke to Margot, who set up a table for my friend and I with glasses and cheese. Vino di Vino in the Berkshires!…read more What's not to love when you find a hidden winery that has a gorgeous atmosphere and friendly faces. Valentines weekend called for a trip down memory lane and to one of our favorite places, The Berkshires. Upon arrival our room was not ready so we looked for a wine bar/winery on Yelp. We were so thrilled to find Balderdash. They were pretty crowded since it was Valentine's Day, but we were able to grab a table in front of the live music. I ordered a wine flight (mostly from California vineyards) they don't grow any grapes here and my husband had a beer. What I also love about this place is that you can bring in your own food. I did see a bunch of couples sharing crackers and cheese. They had a cannoli cart pop up which was delicious! The live music was also great! I honestly didn't want to leave since we were having so much fun. I wish we lived closer we would be here all the time. I believe we had to call ahead to make an appointment as this is a "micro-winery" and when we stopped by there was just the owner running the place. She gave us a very informative tour of beautiful vineyard on a hill overlooking scenic UMass and the winemaking process. The grapes in the vineyard were delicious and we ate several before continuing to the back room. We sampled several of the award winning wines I believe it was 2 whites, 2 reds and 1 or 2 dessert wines for $10. As with other wine tours we got to keep the wine tasting glasses and it is my favorite one from all the places we've visited. We ended up purchasing the dessert wine since it was so delicious! If you're in the area and love wine I'd recommend stopping by here.
