He has repeatedly changed his towing requirements after I show up to pick up the reserved equipment and has refused to rent equipment to me because of my "small truck". I have pointed out that my truck weighs as much as the acceptable basic GMC Sierra and has towing rating that exceeds its big brother by 900lbs. Yet this "businessman" states he will only rent his yard equipment (in this case a small tractor of 2500 lbs) to people with bigger pickups. This is idiotic and defies physics and logic. This prejudice was finally said out loud, on this my third (and final) attempt to rent equipment from him. Previously I had attempted to rent a much larger tractor from him and each subsequent failed rental reservation was for equipment at a lighter load, and each previous time it was stated (incorrectly) that my truck couldn't handle the load... but if the load was only lighter.... Now it is clear it is just his prejudice that fuels his discrimination, particularly since he has stated that ANY 1500 class truck would be rented to for the same loads I was denied. It isn't only that this fool wasted my time, insulted me, and didn't even follow his own logic with regards to vehicle weight and power, but the fact is the last time he did this I successfully rented the same equipment from a competitor (120 miles away - he has a monopoly in his area) and I towed the 4000lbs equipment all the way up the mountain to my property and back - several times, without a single issue. This genius lost 8 weeks of equipment rental at $1500 a week, for all his foolishness and bigotry. Today was my final attempt to work with this numbskull! I refuse to waste my time again with someone who so clearly deserves to go out of business. I suspect that if he had any competition in the area he'd be out of business already! Here's hoping it happens soon so someone competent to run such a business takes up the challenge.

He spent a great deal of time to help my husband identify replacement parts and was very friendly and helpful. There's also a decent selection of microbrew beers and some wines from near and far. I've found items like Immaculate Baking Company's buttery ready-to-bake pie crusts and tasty soft, rich brie cheeses here for a very good price. It's definitely worth stopping in here when provisioning up for a few days in the mountains.

Unfortunately, I have had a bad experience that I feel it's important for any future consigners and/or customers to be made aware of. Last summer I dropped off some items to sell. Not long afterwards I checked my account and discovered I had sold a few of my items. My share of the proceeds came to a total f roughly $37 and some odd cents. I made the drive up to the store to pick up my check as that was how it was explained to me, the store did not mail out checks. I did not mind as I always enjoyed the store and was a good customer as well. However, when I asked for my check I was told there was not one in the "kitty" and that they would leave a message for the owner and she would contact me. Twice more I drove up the hill to the store and it was the story both times. I just now spoke with Shannon (store owner). She validated the fact that there should have been a check for $37 for me but because it had been a year, she had "no way" of giving me the money she owed me now. I am appalled by her response and just cannot grasp how someone can be so dishonest and unethical! When she decides to pay me what she owes me, I will then maybe take my comment down but not until then. Also, there were a few nicer items I delivered that have never been accounted for and when I visited the following month upon dropping them off, the staff was never able to locate them so I'm not sure what possibly could have happened to them nir did I ever received any notification as to whether they sold or were more or less donated.

Very dissatisfied with this business. I brought my leaf blower into this shop for a service and…read moreoil change in May of this year. After I picked it up, I noticed that the unit had began leaking oil on the underside onto my garage floor, which if had not done before it was serviced. I brought the leaf blower back to them in August and they now wanted to charge me $60 again just to examine the oil leak that began with their service. I don't bring my equipment into a business to pay them again to fix a problem they caused. I will not be using this business for equipment repairs in the future.
