The whole team was professional, friendly, and great at communicating throughout the process. They carefully removed our old flooring and countertops, then installed everything new with precision and care. JD helped us choose a beautiful Mannington laminate that works perfectly for the mountain climate, and the carpet install in the bedrooms looks and feels great too. What really impressed us was how Barron's coordinated all the other work, including painting, plumbing, electrical, and granite countertops, so we didn't have to manage all the moving parts. He was gruff and I asked him where in the customer service? He said "this isn't gonna work out". So I left We have a 900 sq ft apartment in a barn, a small cottage, and our entire house that we were looking forward to having their company do. Clearly, they don't care about business or being nice. I was simply trying to avoid Lowes. Sad that some people who own businesses think that they can just be rude to customers. Must be a locals only store which wild since we've been in Amador /Calaveras since 1996!

We ended up going to Arbitration where we won the maximum amount which was 25K. Carl refused to pay and we ended up having his bond of 15K awarded to us leaving an unpaid balance of 10K which he still has not paid. The state of California and the CSLB revoked his license for one year starting on 1/21/2026 for failing to comply with the Arbitration hearing. Since he was the only person who held a contractors license (everyone that works there installing worked under his license) you better make sure that whoever is installing your floors has a valid contractors license or you will be sorry. I would obviously not recommend this company at all. They guarantee the floors and the installation but did not honor any part of it.

He has repeatedly changed his towing requirements after I show up to pick up the reserved equipment and has refused to rent equipment to me because of my "small truck". I have pointed out that my truck weighs as much as the acceptable basic GMC Sierra and has towing rating that exceeds its big brother by 900lbs. Yet this "businessman" states he will only rent his yard equipment (in this case a small tractor of 2500 lbs) to people with bigger pickups. This is idiotic and defies physics and logic. This prejudice was finally said out loud, on this my third (and final) attempt to rent equipment from him. Previously I had attempted to rent a much larger tractor from him and each subsequent failed rental reservation was for equipment at a lighter load, and each previous time it was stated (incorrectly) that my truck couldn't handle the load... but if the load was only lighter.... Now it is clear it is just his prejudice that fuels his discrimination, particularly since he has stated that ANY 1500 class truck would be rented to for the same loads I was denied. It isn't only that this fool wasted my time, insulted me, and didn't even follow his own logic with regards to vehicle weight and power, but the fact is the last time he did this I successfully rented the same equipment from a competitor (120 miles away - he has a monopoly in his area) and I towed the 4000lbs equipment all the way up the mountain to my property and back - several times, without a single issue. This genius lost 8 weeks of equipment rental at $1500 a week, for all his foolishness and bigotry. Today was my final attempt to work with this numbskull! I refuse to waste my time again with someone who so clearly deserves to go out of business. I suspect that if he had any competition in the area he'd be out of business already! Here's hoping it happens soon so someone competent to run such a business takes up the challenge.
