I can tell that a man is in charge of ordering your tampons. I literally drove out of my way to get to Target, cause it's like, out of all the places a woman would expect to be able to find a decent variety of tampons, Target is super high on the list. I couldn't believe that this Target ONLY carries multipacks with different sizes. What is this, costco? Did you think you could buy a normal sized box of regular Kotex or Playtex? No, not unless you are stocking your bathroom for an entire sorority. They literally only have multipacks with varying sizes. Let me break this down for you, Target. As a mother and nursing school dropout. A woman chooses tampons based on the size of her anatomy, not the velocity of her flow. My anatomy isn't regular on Monday and super on Tuesday, if you catch my drift. It's the same size all the time. I thought-- didn't I see a CVS in this parking lot? Turns out that it was ostensibly part of the Target. So between Target and CVS, they didn't have any normal boxes of tampons. I can't believe I had to go to the grocery store to find the correct box of tampons. (They had them at Nugget across the way.)

Again and again and again. After ten minutes of waiting, I had the hubster wait in the tech area and I went off in search of an employee for assistance. That took some effort as well. Eventually I found one, near the front of the store. She apologized and got on her radio to have someone help us. We waited another five minutes. All the while continuing to press the "We Need Help" button. A second round of search for an employee, this time send a manager to tech please. Finally a tech-looking guy showed up and helped the hubster and a supposed "team leader" showed up and said, "All good?" then started to walk away. To which I stopped her and relayed everything. She seemed not to care but said, "Sorry you encountered this." I explained how unacceptable all of this was again zero empathy. DO BETTER EDH TARGET!

The man and woman, not sure if they're the owners or not, we're VERY RUDE with their privilege highly showing, thinking we're in there to steal or fraud with someone else's debit card. We are frequent visitors to Jackson, it's our home away from home. I always wanted to stop in this shop but never have until today. Let me just say it was the worst shopping experience I have ever encountered in any kind of spiritual / Crystal shop with my family. The man in the office kept poking his head through the doorway just to watch us. Even our kids were asking why they keep looking at us. He came out of the office and straight up to me and offered to take my basket of items, which I was going to purchase, to be held at the register. His exact words were "I don't want you to get finger cramps from holding the basket." Already feeling offended, I then say in return, "oh I guess that means it time for me to check out." He then says he's not trying to rush me but we felt rushed the whole time because all eyes were on us the whole 30 minutes we were in the store. Photo is included on what was in my basket, which wasn't heavy at all to cause any finger cramps. How does that make sense? Wouldn't you want customers to buy more products? Also, the lady behind the counter tells me that the item on sale was to be paid with cash or debit only. I told her I was paying with debit for all of my purchases and then she rudely asks me for my ID which isn't required when using a debit card. Kind of a funny way to run a business. She checks my ID and says thank you Veronica in a very rude way. I asked her why do I need to be carded to use a debit card and she said because she doesn't know me and I could be doing fraud and if people can hack the pentagon they can hack your card. THESE WERE HER EXACT WORDS. Kind of a weird answer. What business actually knows all their customer's names? Lol This is ridiculous. I'm glad I spent less than $20 in this damn store and will never return. And I will make sure to tell all my friends and family not to go there either. This is not a way to run a business.

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and the weather had cleared for the time being. I wanted to enjoy a cup of coffee, so I quickly searched for local coffee spots and Mok A Java came up! This cute coffee shop is located in the historic gold rush town of Mokelumne Hill! When we arrived, we were greeted incredibly kindly by the owner. She asked us what we wanted and I told her we were down for anything. She recommended the caramel latte for me, which I wanted to add lavender to as well. She promptly obliged. My husband went with a surprise drink, and was presented with a wonderful brown sugar cinnamon latte. We both chose a large size for our drinks! Normally, the larges come with 4 shots of espresso, but I only wanted 2 as 4 is a bit much for me. My husband went with the normal 4 shots. Our drinks were out in no time. The coffee was incredibly smooth and well-balanced! The amount of ice was perfect as well. We also decided to support another local shop and purchased some spicy Cajun corn nuts crafted Moke Hill Nuts & Candies. They have been selling their snacks for over 20 years and are still going strong! A solid 5 stars for this amazingly cute coffee shop. Michaels is what I would categorize a "big box" store. Therefore, helpful and approachable are not words one typically associates with these kind of stores. So big thank you all for that! My reason for the visit was to find pens with red and green ink and with a thicker point. Not a fine point. I was going to be addressing Christmas cards and wanted a festive look. Believe it or not I had been to many stores, and even Amazon... with no luck. Several other retailers had suggested Michaels. Well, they were right. One of those helpful employees personally walked me to the section with writing implements. And, voilà, there they were. Yay! There were quite a few pens from which to choose. And it was a BOGO half off. My lucky day. Check out was fast. Even though a real salesperson helped me, I noticed quite a few self check out kiosks. And customers were using them. So the long lines moved quickly. In summary, this is a clean and organized store with great employees who are willing to assist shoppers. There appeared to be a lot of inventory including lots of Christmas decorations at very reasonable prices. There is a huge parking lot. So all the boxes are checked.
