A very old fence and driveway-wide double gate was rotting away at our house. We called 707 Fence…read moreand are so happy that we did. Jen, their estimator, was very patient with me after their initial bid as I asked for several options, eventually changing from a butted-board fence to a board on board style. I got a few bids from local companies but it's important to note that 707 Fence bids and uses higher quality lumber than most other companies. At least that's what I found out after comparing the bids. Make sure you compare that if you get other bids Alex and crew built a beautiful fence which I am very pleased with. The gates open and close like precision cabinetry. You'll find that Jen and Alex are very responsive and the team are talented and experienced builders. I highly recommend them and will have them back when another of my aging fences needs replacing and I won't even bother calling competitors.

Alex and his crew showed up on time and worked with our particular requests while being very careful to avoid an old water line we were concerned about. Alex was very communicative and made sure to check in with us and walk us through our options, briefing us during the process in a way that was refreshingly welcomed. Normally communication is the weak area of modern contractors and cause of issues, so we were grateful. I would highly recommend 707 for your fence job. They made it easy, exceeded our expectations, and are my go-to for future fence / gate jobs or whatever else would be in their wheelhouse.

If you have 5 weeks to wait for Keen to complete a simple garage door replacement and time to deal…read morewith 6 different technicians coming to your home then Keen is for you. I called on March 21 and requested a new garage door. On March 25 Josh Keen arrived and managed to tell me his whole life story while preparing the estimate. He did not see or ask me if I wanted a key pad. I was told that Keen had my garage door in stock at one of their neighboring businesses and that once the door was sent to Santa Rosa they would be in touch. On April 22, Derek arrived and installed the garage door but it was not the one that I had ordered and set aside for me. I ordered a garage door with windows and Keen installed one without windows. Another round of appointments were made and a worker came and dropped off the window panel for the upper part of the garage door. A few hours later another worker came and installed the panel and took the solid panel with him. He said another worker would be coming that same day with the key pad. I questioned if he had the right one and was assured he did. Of course he had 2 key pads on the truck but neither were compatible with my door!! You would think that at this point Keen Garage doors would expedite the case to simply install a key pad. But no!! They place me in the appointment queue and offer a complimentary one year membership to have my door serviced. What a joke. Who has time to set up appointments and deal with incompetent office people and workers. Finally on May 6 the key pad was installed. I wondered if this outfit had ever installed garage doors before and I also wonder how they stay in business.

Aidin came to give quote for security camera at my gate…read more He "offered" to adjust the gate without me asking him to. I received the offer but after he left the gate would not open or close. It worked when he arrived and didn't work when he left. They wanted $225. to return and repair the gate that they broke! Foolish owners who lost over a $5000. Job. Absolutely not recommended!

I hired Brian to help prepare my home for sale based on a list of repairs and improvements provided…read moreby my real estate agents. Brian presented himself, when asked by my Agent, as someone experienced in plumbing work. He replaced the plumbing connections on top of the water heater; however, the unit continued to leak afterward. He was on-site for over eight hours that day. More than four of those hours were spent at Home Depot, and the remaining time was used working on the water heater plumbing. I later hired a licensed plumber from a professional plumbing company, who advised that the job should have taken approximately two hours, that incorrect parts had been used, and that the work had been performed improperly and unprofessionally. During one of his Home Depot trips, he was sent to purchase gutters for the house but instead returned with a large box of miscellaneous items (at least 20 insignificant items) that had not been approved or discussed. These items totaled over $400!!! There is no justification for treating someone else's money that way, with no regard for their approval or expectations. To make it better, he stated that he had used a friend's military discount card as if that was a good thing. The gutters were never purchased and when I returned the items to Home Depot, I only received a reduced refund, resulting in an additional financial loss. I asked him if the discount was charged back to his card and he said "no"??? I also observed him spend approximately four hours making a minor repair and painting the front door, which further raised concerns about the efficiency and quality of the work being performed. Overall, a significant amount of time was wasted, the quality of work was below standard, and I incurred unnecessary big expense as a result. The experience was extremely disappointing and resulted in both financial loss and delays in preparing the home for sale. He also left several tools at my home and said he would return after Memorial Day to collect them? Seriously? As a single woman in my 60s, I found this situation inappropriate and unsettling for numerous reasons.
