They promptly seated me outside as per my reservation and I was immediately approached for drink order. I was unsure what to order but decided on the steak and eggs, truffle arugula and egg flat bread, pistachio gelato, and a non-alcoholic ginger brunch drink (sorry i do not know the name, but there are only two..this one has ginger). Each dish was delicious, but my heart still craves the truffle arugula Flatbread. This was literally one of the best flat breads I have ever had and I've been around. Thank me later! This is by far the nicest bowling ally I've ever been to. The atmosphere was A1. Masks are required when walking to and from your area, but once there they can be removed. I came here on a friend date and it was pretty close to closing. Unlike most bowling ally's I had been to, it is best to make a reservation. Luckily my friend had even though I didn't think it was necessary. We had the lane for an hour and everything was great. The only reason I gave this place 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the difficulty to order and get food within our hour. Maybe we shouldn't have been trying to order drinks/food in that time frame but we did and it felt a little rushed on our end. We were seated right away and it didn't take long for our waitress to come over to take our order and dropped off some really good bread sticks. For dinner I order the half rack of ribs and truffle fries. The ribs were very tender with a great sauce. The waitress didn't tell me that the ribs came with fries on the side, so I had plenty with my separate order. The fries were really good also with the truffle and parmasan sprinkle on top. My wife had the Lobster Mac&Cheese. She really loved it and said it had plenty of cut up lobster included. I've came here a few times and I'll continue to come back. The service is great, they always seem to have enough people working. The food is great. I've had several items from the happy hour menu as well as the dinner menu and no complaints there. I will say my favorite is the Spicy Calabrese wings. The sauce is very flavorful. The drinks are also amazing. I've had beer, wine, and cocktails. They have a great beer selection and the cocktails they pour up are the perfect amount of "happy". The only reason I took off one star is because we came here bowling and our lane kept breaking down. One of the lanes was perfectly fine and the other one wasn't. I pressed the help button at least 3 times and no one ever came. The lane eventually would "fixed" itself before anyone came over. Second, two people from our party left early and paid for their bowling. Then we still got charged for them at the end of the night. We didn't realize this until a few days later. It's a spacious, unfussy place to have fun. The bowling lanes and bocce ball courts are both nicely kept up. The food is surprisingly good. Frankly, I didn't expect that. The fried calamari appetizer is light and crispy; not rubbery. The mac 'n cheese arrives steaming hot as it's prepared to order. And the classic tiramisu is a generous serving and right on the money. This was my first time at this location and I actually came here for a wedding reception. When we first entered we were guided to a separate entrance which leads to a banquet hall area. The employee who greeted us at the door was very friendly. My wife was also allowed access to the wedding coordinator's personal office because she had to pump for our nursing child. They even offered to leave the office unlocked for us all night. The first round of food was the hors d'oeuvres. They brought out spinach and feta pastries and skewered chicken. Both were delicious and served with sauces that complimented the flavors. Since I do not drink I was served water and ginger ale all night and the bartender was prompt and courteous. For dinner we started with pasta and meatballs which was just OK. It tasted like something that was pre-made and heated up again afterwards. Next we had the chicken cutlets with mashed potatoes. The chicken was seasoned well and the mashed potatoes were next level (probably my favorite part of the meal). To finish things off we had the salmon and risotto. The salmon was prepared perfectly, however the risotto had too strong of a fishy taste for me. I'm guessing it was infused with a fish based broth. Overall, Pinstripes is a great location for a wedding reception, especially for a younger crowd. It doesn't take itself too seriously and that's something rare to find in Georgetown. read more

We came for a birthday party, expecting it to be as its advertised: "the best happy hour in Georgetown" (not) Took almost an hour to get our drinks (after asking 4 times for it) and when they arrived they still were missing a drink, a whiskey shot. According to them was because: The first time because they "were preparing it now". Second time "they are bringing it right now" Third time "sorry we are having a problem with the machines" Fourth time "sorry we ran out of that whiskey" Then the drinks arrived, and guess what, no whiskey. The location boasts awesome vistas and spacious seating, and the music was perfectly en pointe in terms of volume and selection--you can hear yourself speak here. Hands down one of the best happy hours in Georgetown. I've bowled here and played bocce before, and enjoyed the experiences very much. The facilities are super clean. I went to the pinstripes yesterday with my division at work for our holiday party. It looks like everyone had a good time but I was not impressed by the food. They had ordered the cheeseburgers, pesto chicken skewers, and the spinach and feta phyllo for our three lanes. I only tried the cheeseburger but I was not super impressed and hearing comments from the rest of my team, I am not sure that people were impressed with the drinks either. Needless to say we lost at least 25 minutes, which they didn't give us back. We only got 10 minutes back before the lane died again. They never offered us any coupons or reimbursement as they had some other people that I has spoken to about the situation. A very disappointing experience. We hosted a company event here for roughly 15 people and was very underwhelmed overall. 1. The venue knew the size of our party as we arranged everything ahead but the space was very cramped. They should have given us a larger section or told us they couldn't accommodate us. The space they gave us could comfortably accommodate half of us. Not a very well designed space overall as it was cramped for wait staff too. 2. The cocktails were not good. They had a "premium" cocktail section which they told us we couldn't get with our group package. No one in our party that ordered cocktails thought they were well made. Either watered down or low quality ingredients. 3. Service was slow. Not our waiter's fault but for as large of a party as we had, the workflow for getting drink orders was really bad. 4. Food was decent. The manager came up to us toward the end and tried to note our complaints but it was done in a really awkward way as our event was still happening. And it was too late to really change the experience with 15 minutes left. He threw us some free brunch coupons. There wasn't anything I'd consider premium about this place. read more

One hiccup: This last visit I made a reservation with Seated; however, the automated system, after accepting my reservation, declined it stating, "Pinstripes-Georgetown is overbooked at the time you selected and unfortunately will not be able to accommodate your booking." At first, this seemed logical. After all, I was making a reservation for 1715 on a Wednesday. We decided we would wing it and see whether Pinstripes could take us. We had no trouble in being seated. I went to Pinstripes Georgetown yesterday for Sunday brunch and was not disappointed. It was a beautiful day in DC, so I was hoping to take advantage of the outdoor seating. When we arrived, we were told that it would be a 30 minute wait. BOOOOOO. Being that it was already 2:30pm and I hadn't eaten for the day, we took some available seats that were open at the bar. The hostess also informed us that we would have to order off of the dinner menu, as brunch was ending at 3. When we sat down, I double checked with the bartender that we couldn't take advantage of the brunch buffet and he let me know that it was still open and they start breaking down at 3. Score. I ordered my mimosa just the way I like it (with no juice) and hit up the buffet. The buffet had plenty of options from fruit & bagels with lox, a waffle station, an omelette station, and typical breakfast foods. Since brunch was wrapping up soon, I expected what was already out to be it but luckily I was wrong. They were putting our fresh bacon and potatoes as I got to the line. After adding a variety of foods to my plate(s) I went back to the bar and dug in. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food was. The highlights for me were the breakfast potatoes and the waffles. The potatoes were well-seasoned, and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The waffles were just amazing lol. They were sweet and fluffy. Although brunch ended at 3, the bartender kept our bottomless mimosas going until 4. I had the most horrible experience ever! Service was slow, our time expired on the game of bowling while waiting for a service call. The food was cold when it arrived, and we asked for a manager several times only to find out the manager (plot twist) was our server! We even had to wait to pay our bill, and he never returned with our card. I had to hunt down someone to get my card back. I reached out to Pinstripes for my rehearsal dinner 35 days prior to our event. I should have seen the red flags when I began my search. The event coordinator Francesca took three business days to get back to me to arrange my venue visit and when I arrived, she totally forgot about my scheduled appointment. I wanted to move forward with the venue because I thought it would be fun to play bowling and bocce. Francesca sent a contract after multiple attempts and then, when I went to correct the contract, she would take up to six business days to respond back. A week prior to the event, with multiple emails from me and my wedding planner, she emails us the contract and shares that there was a buyout of the bowling alley. If she was waiting on a buyout, she should of told us so that we could make an informed decision on what was best for our party. Instead, she strung us along until the buyout was in place and we had to scramble for another venue. Pinstripes was highly unprofessional. Even though the pricing is right and it's a novel experience, I suggest you go elsewhere to avoid the headache and lack of professionalism. read more

My favorite menu item were the tenderloin sliders. They were so well, tender :) and buttery, we couldn't get enough of hem. We definitely shared a few orders of those. I've been to Pinstripes twice, once as a corporate outing for lunch pre-pandemic and once by myself only bowling, which was a few weeks ago. I remember the service being very good when I was there with my corporate outing and I enjoyed the food. I returned a few weeks ago to go bowling by myself. You have to make an online reservation in advance. Pinstripes is $20 per person per hour on the weekends. I played five games in 60 minutes. That's $4/game. Not too bad. Wait staff stopped by twice to check on me, I was only drinking water. Thought the lanes were in good shape for a bowling alley that isn't solely focused on bowling. I was considering going to the Bowlero in Crystal City, but it looks insanely expensive. I have to take metro and a bus to get to Pinstripes, and it is worth it. read more

When in D.C. and wanting to bowl, you are faced with two options: go to the tacky, aging Lucky Strike with its odd dress code rules or trek to Georgetown and bowl at the more upscale yet relaxed Pinstripes. For my friend's birthday, we chose the latter. Pinstripes is centrally located in Georgetown and easy to get to via Uber or Circulator (unfortunatley GTown's draconian rules have prevented the metro from reaching the neighborhood). Pinstripes has an identity crisis between its bar-meets-restaurant-meets-bowling alley-meets-bocce court combination. Mainly, people come here to bowl or play bocce. Pinstripes seemed to have an off evening when we went, but the staff went above and beyond to fix everything that went wrong. The lanes were not ready at the time that we originally reserved, so we had to wait about 20 minutes past the start time. No hug deal. We also originally reserved two lanes, however, one wasn't working, so the staff gave us a third while they tried to fix the second one. We ordered calamari and pizza in addition to a few other appetizers like the hummus and veggies. While I would not come back and eat here just for the food, it was good for a bowling alley. They had a mix of bar classics and healthier options to satisfy everyones' tastes. Drinks were decent and priced at D.C. prices, but don't expect anything too fancy. I wouldn't hesitate to come back for a special event or a fun activity while in the area. It is also extremely better than the below-average competition across town, and you will be treated well by the staff. I've been to a few company events here and have a good time every time. Pinstripes has a nice combination of restaurant, wine bar, bowling alley, and bocce court. The interior space is more expansive than you would think from the outside. You're greeted by the main dining space and move through the bocce area (Bocce field? Bocce court?) and finally to bowling in the back. The servers are generally quite attentive and whisked our food pretty quickly once we arrived. Actually, it was more like a cascade of servers bringing the platters in a procession. I'm a huge fan of their Parmesan chips and enjoy the sliders (build your own--which is great because I only wanted the patty haha) as well. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here or anything, but the wine selection is at least more decent than you'll find most any other place that has bowling. You can have up to eight bowlers on a single lane, which is nice. We noticed that on at least four occasions, the reracking machine would knock over someone's tenth pin and then give them the points as if they had actually gotten a spare. Weird, but none of us are super serious bowlers so it was more funny than anything. Fun place! read more

We were forgotten about. TLDR: My fiance and I decided to go on a whim on a Friday afternoon for bowling and weren't helped for 15 minutes after paying. We had never been before and didn't know how to work iPad for the lane but after a few minutes of waiting, we just guessed and started. We each took one turn but the balls weren't rolling back so we hit the service button and waited... no one came. After 5 minutes, we hit a different service button calling for a waiter so we could talk to someone. No one came. After another 5 minutes, we hit the button again. It wasn't too crowded so I'm not sure what the problem was. The people next to us go served drinks even though we were there first. We ended up leaving and getting a refund (yay... I guess) but I wouldn't recommend going. read more

Definitely that "upper class" style bowling alley that the D.C people never knew they needed. I have been trying to get a reservation into here for months and it's not some place you can come without a reservation if you want to bowl. A bit annoying since it seems like you cant do anything spontaneous anymore but they always have openings for bocce and for their restaurant. The place is expensive on the weekends, $20 each hour per person for a min. of 2 hours. Not some place you would come for more then that as I think I would have to hit my savings account for that. The bowling shoes were clean and you could even rent socks there if you forgot yours at home. We got taken to our lane and enjoyed the two nice couches in our section. This bowling alley is classy and unfortunately doesn't play fun music or have a picture-esque theme. The real loss is they don't do pitchers of beer here...I get it, you are classy Pinstripes but for a group it just makes more sense to offer 'buckets' or a pitcher. The bowling went without a hinge, with the lanes working fine and there being a good variety of bowling ball weights. Our waitress was pretty attentive and got our orders pretty quick. Came for the food only! One thing I've noticed is that this place does a good job with pairing textures. The crunch from the potato string paired perfectly with the tenderloins. The chicken Parmesan wasn't really seasoned well but the sauce made up for that but The crusted chicken was perfectly crunchy though. The jambalaya was good but I've had better the flavor wasn't all the way there. The cheesecake however was PERFECT! They caramelized the top which gave it this very light crunch and it just paired so well with the berry sauce and whipped cream.
