Visited Pinstripes yesterday around 1:00 PM. The parking lot was empty and we were afraid they might be closed, but no, just not busy! We were seated promptly by a friendly young lady who also became our server. She was awesome. We had a "lasagna calzone"--it was good--kind of typical lasagna flavors of meat sauce, Italian sausage, ricotta, etc, inside a folded pizza dough, one 14" pizza that was high enough for two to share (quite good), and an order of fried mushrooms to start--they were alright, not awesome, could tell they were premade kind instead of handmade...not complaining, just saying. Great casual Italian restaurant. The pizza & Parmagiana are excellent along with the Caesar salad. Large portions & fresh flavors. Don't let their lack of a liquor license (they are working on it) & the fact that they serve Pepsi products keep you from enjoying great food & good service! read more

It is 11:15 and they are supposed to open at 11. We called and they said they would be opening in 10 to 15 minutes. They said their staff is not showing up for work. When you are on your lunch break you can't be expected to sit and wait for workers to show up late for their jobs. read more

We really enjoyed pinstripes. We will definitely come back again. I had chicken Parmesan. My husband had a calzone they were delicious.

I ordered eggplant parmigiana and young man server brought it out to my table I tried to cut it and it was not even cooked still raw it was nasty!! I told the kid about it ! The food was good and the service by Lumi was great! Wings came out fresh and hot and the pizza was actually one of the best I've had in the area. Hope this place makes it! Will be even better when the bar is open and they can serve alcohol. read more

Oh my. Awful. I wanted to like this place since it's on Glen Rose, but no way. We ordered the Deep Dish Sicilian Pizza with sausage. My fiancee had two bites and pushed it way. I ate my slice and hers then requested the check. The waitress asked if we needed a box. We replied no. Justin the cashier asked if we enjoyed the meal and we replied no. This place is great! I ordered the chicken Caesar salad and the chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The dressing was amazing too! A coworker who's from New York was eating with me and said the pizza is some of the rest he's had in Texas! Makes sense since the owner's from NY too! She was also very sweet and attentive! So we stayed at the hotel behind Pinstripes while on an impromptu visit to Glen Rose and Dino Valley. The hotel manager suggested we try it and noted that we should be prepared for "New York" style Italian & that we should definitely end with cheesecake lol! Our waitress was attentive and when my daughter asked to eat on the patio, she was more than happy to accommodate her. We didn't see much of the inside since we went outside, but it was gorgeous outside and the decor we could see inside was fun! They brought us bread to start & it was decent, we kinda just nibbles though to save room. We ordered mozzarella sticks and they were cooked to perfection. My daughter had the kid's pepperoni pizza slice and it was huge slice! My hubs had pizza as well and said it was excellent! I had the chicken parmigiana, soooo amazing! Cooked exactly how I wanted, crispy on the outside but tender inside, so dry or chewy. Loved the sauce! The spaghetti was more like angel hair past, but still great! We all stuffed ourselves so we took cheesecake to go. We enjoyed later with a movie in the hotel and it was great! read more

On our way from McKinney to Lampasas and Belton for an event with the Lone Star Santas association, my Santa Claus husband and I found ourselves in Glen Rose a bit after lunch time. We had skipped breakfast, so we were pretty hungry, and knowing lunch options are limited along westbound 67, we googled Glen Rose restaurants. Pinstripes Pizza caught our attention for a couple of reasons: it was open on a Tuesday for late lunch when a good number of other restaurants were closed; it was right off the highway, so no detour was needed; and it had multiple 5-Star reviews. We had the restaurant mostly to ourselves, so we're seated immediately, and the server was promptly at our table to deliver menus and take drink orders. Our server, Lumie, was cheerful and patient as it took me a moment to decide what to order. The menu is bursting with dozens of tempting items, but we opted to stick to pizza. So glad we did! After we took the edge off our hunger with the delectable, complimentary bread rolls, the pizza was delivered piping hot and deliciously gooey, looking like a perfect pizza commercial. The crust was epic! I've never had pizza crust like this. It was light and crispy, not tough and chewy like many pizzas we've had. The toppings were exactly what we ordered and were obviously fresh. It was easily among the best pizzas we ever had. Lumie, was attentive and friendly without hovering, and was quick with drink refills and open to answering questions. She is definitely an asset to this family business. We only have two minor issues we'd like to see improved: 1. This establishment offered only Pepsi products, and we are committed wholly to Coca Cola. Sure wanted a Coke with that great pizza! 2. When we came in the door, there was an unpleasant odor that led me to suspect plumbing issues. Fortunately, we were seated at the back of the restaurant where the odor was much less noticeable. I do think this needs to be addressed by a good plumber. Once this is resolved, I'd definitely give 5 stars, even without swapping Pepsi for Coke. All in all, we enjoyed our lunch and look forward to stopping in again on one of our frequent trips through the area. Definitely a Santa-approved establishment! read more

Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. I ordered the grilled chicken Alfredo pizza. It was great! I don't normally care about the crust on pizza but even that was delicious! We're visiting from Houston and I wish they had a location there because this beats all of the spots I've had back home. read more
