Let's start with the fact that I called before coming to ask for the wait for the bowling alley and "Ashley" told me there wasn't one. I arrived and was told the wait for a lane was 3 hours. We decided, "whatever, we can just sit and eat". Well, as I am typing this, I am still regretting that decision. I spent $14 for a pizza that tasted like a Tombstone pizza that had been thrown on the floor, covered in moldy cheese, and had chunks of jalapeños that were barely edible. I ate two pieces and had to stop. My girlfriend ordered a salmon that was clearly previously frozen and was equally disgusting. We both ordered drinks (vodka waters) and the bartender must have forgotten to grab the vodka because I paid for a cup of water. After eating, we get called to the bowling alley. We had friends meet us who decided to eat at the bowling alley. One of our friends paid $13 for a chicken Caesar salad. The salad arrived with an entire head of lettuce covered in four croutons and some grilled chicken. I use the term "grilled" loosely because the chicken was pink inside- so she didn't even eat it. We all ended up at Jack and the Box afterwards and ate some delicious food at a quarter of the price. So if anyone finds themselves with a three hour wait (that Ashley assured you that you wouldn't have), Jack in the Box is located conveniently at Windhaven and the Tollway. read more

Pretty cool place with good atmosphere. The arcade/play area was smaller (compared to a Dave 'n Busters, Round 1, or Main Event) if comparing to similar concepts, but then again, the building itself isn't as big as those mentioned. It's got a more contemporary vibe. My wife and I went on a date here to go bowl, specifically, and pricing was reasonable and it wasn't overly crowded on a weekday night. We went last month (January 2017) during the week...I believe it was a Thursday. I'm not a great amateur, semi-pro, or professional bowler, so take this for what it's worth, but the lanes and pins here aren't that great. They're much more heavy than the other places we've been. That's not a complaint because I wasn't getting more strikes than I usually do...it's purely a takeaway we got. There were about 10 rolls in 2 games we played that even my wife mentioned that those would have been strikes at any of the other places we've been to bowl. A kid's (and some adult's) playground. Bowling, games, bar, food. The game room has some cool games and you can collect tickets on your card for prizes. There were a lot of times we we're charged twice for playing because we had to swipe multiple times. The bowling lanes are cool but there aren't enough. We waited two hours and played some games and when we came to check in they said they called us. The phone number they had was wrong and so we never got it. Their fix initially was to put us back on the wait list for another two hours. It took some arguing to change that and put us back at the top. I haven't even had the opportunity to try this place. Decided to make my first trip a surprise party I wanted to throw for my Best Friend's 30th. I'd watched it being built for a while and finally checked out their website when I noticed it had finally opened. The party packages seemed a little overpriced, but so is Top Golf and everything else these days. I had a few questions about which package would be right for our group, especially the timing since I hadn't been to the facility. I walked i after work and was stopped at the hostess stand. The teenage hostess pulled out an office depot phone message pad and took down my info. Then she got a post it note and said I needed to go online and decide what time, package, and date I wanted and to email this generic address to place the reservation. I told her I thought this was a little strange since I was unsure what was the best fit. She told me that it wasn't hard, to just read online and pick. Of course I said I know how to read and her response was "you just pick pizza or chicken and whether you want bumper cars or laser tag." In my head that created a new question because I thought one of the packages you got both. Of course I couldn't remember and they have no party package information at their actual location. I told her I had come there to talk to someone about booking the party and she told me that I had to hurry and email the address because they get 50+ party requests sent there a day and I needed to make sure my email got read before the party date. (I would never hope my plans were accepted via a random email instead of physically booking a party) I told her that didn't makes sense and that I wanted information on booking. She responded several more times that I had to pick all the details (party package, number of guests, date and time, if I wanted a party room) and email then address. I finally said I was so confused and I didn't understand. On a very simple level I wanted to know if there was availability, but rather than say someone will contact me, she kept saying I had to decide what I wanted and email what I wanted and hope someone returned my email before the party (yeah I am making other plans before that happens!). Then the smart teenage waitress got smart with me and said she was going to go online and print the packages so I would be able to learn about what I wanted and help me make the decision. The other girls witnessing it saw my frustration and asked what I was asking. "I want information about hosting a surprise party for my friend" They asked what date and then just kind of stared at me. At that point I was so over it and walked out. We will see who these phone messages get handed to and if I hear back from an actual sales person or planner (what I expected to be able to do when I went there today). But, after reading all these reviews here and on Facebook, I think my decision is made up. There are WAY too many problems at this new place, staffing, management, potentially training... not worth ruining my best friend's only 30th birthday. read more

Food isn't great and neither are the drinks. *** Wait Time: We waited 1.5 hours for a lane (5 people). *** Price Point: $59 with shoes and a pair of socks since I didn't wear any...for an hour of bowling. Go ahead and be safe on the time because you can't just "add more time" once yours runs out...you have to get back on the wait list per the person helping me. *** Food: Loaded Nachos ($7), spinach artichoke dip, Scicilian Mojito ($7), Watermelon Margarita, some type of Mule drink, sip of my cousin's Mai Tai...would only order the mojito again. *** Service: I found my way to the bar to wait for my party and David was great. His mojito was the only good one I had. Sam took over once we got on the lane and he was great too - friendly and patient with me as I searched for a good drink. *** Games: I think there's a good selection from some type of digital monopoly to the old school skee ball games to 2 air hockey tables. Rock climbing wall, laser tag, ropes course, bumper cars, and some type of laser room game. $15 kept me engaged for around an hour and scored me 121 tickets plus a few wins. *** Crowd: 50:50 mix of adults and kids/adolescents. Had a small holiday party. When I called months ago, I was assured I needed no catering or reservations for a party of 7 at 2:30 on Wednesday 12/13. When we arrived, we were only able to get 1 bowling lane for 1 hour. The game shut down on the 8th frame... we played through as quickly as possible but didn't get to finish. We ordered wine (which was 1/2 price and good), but the food could not have been a bigger disappointment. Nachos, hummus, sliders, cheese sticks, meat/cheese tray, potato skins, tacos, Mac/cheese balls... not one thing I'd ever order again. There was no flavor in anything we had nor was there anything barely above room temperature. If it wasn't a work holiday celebration, I would have sent food back and talked to the manager. Excited to have someone new in town so we called to inquire about having my son's birthday party and spoke to someone but there system was down so they took my name and number but never called back. Two weeks later I tried again and after choosing the option for party reservations it went to a voicemail box that was full. I guess I will start with the good news: - They are great at keeping your water topped off. You will never dehydrate at Pin Stack. - Your bowling shoes are super new :P - I think this place will eventually be a great family place. Bad News: - The food is pretty poor. I ordered the chicken strips and they looked and tasted a lot like Whataburgers. The quality was not there to charge $12. The French fries were served up stone cold. The macaroni balls for an appetizer were tasty, but again served luke warm. To top the food quality off was the wait time for the food...we waited maybe 15 minutes for the appetizer which I felt was reasonable, but we finished the appetizer and it took 40 minutes for our dinners to arrive to our table. :( No excuses, no managers touching tables, and no one checked to see if the food was okay. This truly surprised me for a new place. -The bowling lanes were very crowded which is to be expected on a Saturday night, but They way the tables are set up it is very hard to maneuver around. We had to wait an hour to order a glass of wine, which is beyond ridiculous. Once we ordered it, it took another 20 minutes to show up. They had someone under 21 working the adult/VIP area, which didn't make sense to me. - The staff is unprofessional (i.e. not knowing customer service or social skills) and there appears to be a lack of management otherwise, I feel these issues could have at least been put at ease. I truly hope this place steps up their game. They have a lot to offer the area, but as of right now I would not recommend anyone to visit. read more

What's worse than horrible? This place. I agreed to meet some friends here for dinner tonight. I was hoping to have a good time and watch the Stanley Cup playoffs. I got there right before game 7 of a heated series was to begin. Both tv's on the wall in the dinning area were playing golf, on a wednesday. I asked if one of them could be changed to the hockey game, they said they would have to get a manager to do it. I sit down and order a pizza. Fast forward 40 minutes, still no hockey. My pizza comes over, but it's not even close to what I ordered. The waitress said that she must have given it to someone else, and she would make me another one. Ten minutes into the second period, my pizza arrives, and still no hockey. I ask again. I'm again informed they have to get a manager. "Where's the manager" i ask, "he's around here somewhere" they reply. I finish my pizza and ask for the check so we can go bowl, and hopefully watch the 3rd period. I give them my card, they ring me up for the wrong order. No where even close to correct. We point out the error, and the waitress leaves for another 10 minutes to sort it out. Finally we get our ticket paid and head down to the bowling area. I ask about getting the hockey game put on one of the televisions. Again, "we'll have to get the manager". My phone alerts me the third period has started, it's tied 1-1. Game 7, remember? I give up, and go listen to the game on my phone, in the parking lot. What a waste of time. The food was fine, when we finally got what we ordered. Nothing special. The service was horrible. The concept that they need manager approval to change channels is idiotic. I want my money back. I want my evening back. I've never been this mad leaving a restaurant in my entire life. I actually hopes this place goes out of business so maybe the owners will learn a lesson about how to treat people. Unfortunately telling the internet how much I hate this place doesn't make me feel better, so I'm just going to stop now. read more

Pinstack -- it is what it is! Loud, lots of lights and music and noise, people laughing. But so much to do! I love the arcade games more than the bowling. This place has so much potential. I get that it's new and needs to work out the wrinkles but who ever is managing this place needs to pay attention. First our restaurant experience was less than impressive. My husband never got his food. Even after we went up to the kitchen manager and told him. Then we got a lane to bowl. Area we found out from the people next to us had not been bused for over an hour. And then it took us an hour, no joke, to get our drinks. We tried going to the bar directly but people around the bar said it was just as bad. This place was not ready to be open. The staff is extremely under trained. And managers, if someone tells you that they need something (like broken glass picked up) don't say you don't have anyone to clean it...do it yourself! read more

First timers at Pinstack, terrible experience. We came on a not so busy Friday night for a date night, we placed our name on the waiting list for a lane to bowl on, no problem because we were able to play the arcade games which was so much fun! The bad experience was when we started bowling. Our server was very sweet and nice. For some reason, our lane kept lagging on resetting our pins and took a good while, along with that, it wouldn't pick up all of the non missed pins and would knock some over. So the scoring wasn't correct. Then, our bowling balls stopped coming back up to us, so we had told our server, and waited. While waiting, we just went and grabbed other balls. The lane next to us, started not getting their balls come back up as well. We notified the staff, and waited about 5 minutes for them to fix it. As soon as it was fixed, a ton of the bowling balls started dispensing, there was so many balls stuck, that they balls were pouring out and falling on to the ground. no staff anywhere to help us. After all of that, we did not have time added back, so we spoke to a server and she told us to go to the desk to ask for more time. So that took away more time for us to go and ask for more time. Not once did a manager come up to us to talk to us, we had to ASK for time to be added. The manager was able to speak to other lanes, except for us. I told our server multiple times that our lane was lagging and we had issues with it our entire time. Why did I have to ask for time be added? Why did a manager on duty not even bother to come by to check up on us after knowing we had multiple issues? Although we tried to make the best of the situation because other parts of Pinstack was enjoyable, I definitely would not recommend Pinstack to anyone. I really hope their management can do a better job of making sure their paying customers are enjoying their time. It's literally part of their job to actually check on their customers to make sure they have a good experience, obviously not the case tonight. I hope Pinstack can do better. read more

This place is by far one of the coolest bowling spots on Dallas but the coolness factor was over shadow by the terrible service at this place. My family went this past Friday at around 1 or so and the place was pretty busy the wait for normal lanes was about 1 hour but the VIP which is extra was only 30 min wait. So we went with that. After sitting around for about thirty minutes we started to notice people that had come in after us were already being taken back. After going up to the stand and waiting in line to talk with someone they informed me they forgot to put us on the list. After they talked with a few other people they finally showed us our lane in the VIP room which has about 8 lanes and two share common seating. We started our game and we were hoping the server that was assigned to our room would come take a drink order and give us a menu to look over. After waiting 30 minutes into our hour game I walked out to the bar and the bartender said she would send someone over. After waiting another 10 minutes I walked back out and she said she sent him but he never came over and talked to us. At that point I just ordered a drink at the bar (which she gave me for free for the inconvenience) after I was leaving she said she would make sure he came over to us. After we finished our game no one ever came over to us. For a place that is about food and drinks while bowling we were never offered a menu a drink or even greeted or talked to while at the lane for an entire hour. When we were finished we just went out to eat because we didn't get food at this place. I was a very big disappointment for a place that 1) we paid extra to be in a private room and 2) is all about food drinks a bowling. We will not be going back to this place. read more

I took a friend from out out town to Pinstack tonight! We had a fantastic time. The food was 10/10. I really enjoyed the Adult Grill Cheese with Brisket and Sweet Potato fries. Dustin was fantastic and had the kitchen make me a spicy ranch dressing for my fries. This is a great place to go and hang out with friends or family. I like going to Pinstack. Have always enjoyed it the past 3 years with friends to watch sports. The only thing that I'm not thrilled about is their tap beers are never really cold especially at the restaurant/bar. Most people I've talked while I'm there have said the same thing. If they can fix that and cool those beers down more so we'd probably go there more often to eat and drink during sporting events. read more

This is my first review so that shld let you know how impressed I am by Dean, Danny and Cameron (Cook) who waited on us at the ropes course and bumper cars. My friend and I went just to visit a 3rd friend who was having a party for her 13-year-old and her friends. They were very patient informative and helpful. They deserve 5 stars! ! I can't comment on food, but everything looks so clean and very high quality. We definitely plan to bring our families back and invite more friends with us Loved doing the ropes course, keeps you young trying new things, even if butterflies. I felt in good hands.
