As guests we are afforded a wine tasting each evening which we have availed ourselves of. The Baileys own the place and produce some very good wines under the Youngberg Hill and Bailey label. We joined the wine club. The setting is wonderful perched on a mountain overlooking vineyards and views of mountains. Ambiance is high end rustic with all the accouterments you might need. Breakfast every morning and wine tasting each evening. No lunch or dinner but we went into town when we needed meals McMinnville, Dayton and other smaller towns are all within 30 min drive. When we arrived the room was not available, so they put me upstairs the first night, then moved me to a cold damp basement the second night. Later we found out the owner wanted to put one of her friends in the room I reversed. Research after the trip was over, found this appears to be a common practice. There cases reservations were just cancelled at the whim of the owner. Just be aware if you decide to stay here, they do not honor reservations.

During breakfast, the interruptions were so frequent that it was difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. We had specifically booked our room for the hot tub, but it wasn't hot during our stay. When we mentioned it, the response was that there had been kids in it the night before and maybe something had gone wrong. No solution, alternative, or adjustment was offered. Martha is also quite the gardener and Her back yard space is inviting and the deck is a pleasure to relax on and listen to birds, enjoy a glass of wine or coffee in the morning. It is easy to have a good night's sleep here. It is very quiet. We loved Brigitte's breakfasts. Each morning she and Clark would say hello and then Brigitte would cook a fresh made breakfast for us! Joka is an amazing hostess, along with Maggie, the Bichon, who is super adorable. The breakfasts are something to be experienced (sad I didn't get pictures) and are the perfect way to start your day. Joka is not just an amazing hostess, she is also a wonderful cook. We stayed in the Sunflower room (Eola Hills Room), which is the only room without a bathroom in the room, however the hall bath is right there and it's private to you only so it was not a big deal. The Inn is walking distance to a quaint downtown with some great places to eat and wine taste. It is also central to driving to other little towns. If we are in the area again, this will be a must return place to stay.
