Firstly if I get murdered it was this guy…read more They repaired my dishwasher last year November and when I called to explain that in January the dishwasher couldn't come on the owner got offended and jumped straight to we didn't replace that part. After explaining he finally realized what I was talking about. He sent his technician out and then He said oh yes we might check with the place we ordered the part it might have a warranty. Ok cool. He said it will take a few weeks. I gave it 3 weeks than heard nothing back. I called and left a voicemail. No response at all. Gave it another week called left a voicemail no message again. The following week finally got an answer the owner Curtis said ok let me look into this and get back to you. Nothing radio silence again. Than I gave it another week. Called back again left a voicemail and called their parts department they said to call the Hollister location and get the parts model from them since I didn't know what it was. Called left a voicemai, called again after an hour left a voicemail. Decided to call again. Than got a text message "I'm at the doctors appointment" you keep calling. I texted back apologizing for inconveniencing him during a personal situation. texted him that I was hoping to get a part model number I and I can be contacted when he was able to get back to me. than it's Monday 30th the end of March now. Still trying to get Hold of them. so today I called and left a frustrated voicemail no respons. Than I called back again after 30mins. Well Well guess what Curtis the owner answered and he snapped at me that I keep calling disturbing a conference call and than hung up on me. like it's my fault he runs a business that requires Shaw Appliances to actually respond to customer. If you used them they get parts and than the Shaw Parts department actually stated most parts are only 90Days warranty. I never blamed them for the parts failing I wish they had responded and actually communicated this situation and told me that it needed to be replaced again so they could have jus gone ahead and ordered another part. If this happens to you be prepared to experience ghosting and if my life is threatened he seems like the kinda guy who will literally come to your home hunt you down and kill you for a negative review Or for anything that goes wrong in his life. So I'm putting it out there if anything' Happens to me or my family it's Curtis from Shaw Family Appliance or be hired someone to do it for him. He seems like a zero accountability kinda guys who takes everything personally and so unprofessional

Unfortunately, the issue will require replacement of our unit. Ron was honest and straight forward. Additionally, he checked out all of our refrigeration equipment (which we have a lot of) and our HVAC unit, taught us preventive maintenance to avoid future problems and is even bringing back some hard to find filters for us. Highly recommend Eli and SmartFix for any appliance repair work. Over the span of two weeks, I've…read moreworked with Eli three times, and each visit reinforced how much expertise he brings to refrigerator diagnosis and detailed repair work. He does great work and charges what I think are very reasonable prices for the level of skill and quality involved. The first call was at my mother-in-law's house, where Eli diagnosed a broken compressor in her refrigerator that had stopped cooling. He did a great job working with my mother-in-law whose first language is not English. She was very happy. A few days later, he came to our house after some interior lights stopped working following a deep cleaning. He fixed the lights, then went well beyond that. Our freezer door hinge wiring harness had snapped nearly every wire inside, which had also taken out the ice maker. I'd honestly written the ice maker off after a few failed attempts to repair it myself, but Eli came in and showed it could absolutely be fixed, and done right. He patiently soldered and extended close to ten broken wires, heat-sealing and re-sheathing each one so the same failure wouldn't happen again. His fix also cost much less than replacing the whole door which was what I thought was going to have to be done. Finally, when we noticed water pooling under the refrigerator a few days later, Eli came back and dug into the back of the unit to clear a clogged compressor drain. He cleaned everything out in the process and helped put everything back together perfectly. It's more than just his expertise that I appreciated. Eli is friendly, honest, easy to work with, and a just a nice guy. He also took the time to engage with our three-and-a-half-year-old son, who was glued to every step of the repairs at our house, and made him feel like part of the project. Ever since, our son has been busy "fixing" everything in the house with his own toy tools. I'm really happy to have found Eli and SmartFix. I let him know, but he still suggested coming out to check it just in case--which I appreciated. When he arrived, he was on time, very friendly, and professional. He checked everything and noticed my freezer had a lot of ice buildup, which was likely the cause of the noise. He mentioned we could wait for it to defrost so he could clean it out, and I was like... are we really going to wait for that? Then he casually said he had a steamer and could take care of it right away--I was honestly impressed. He cleaned out the ice buildup quickly and explained everything clearly. Super helpful and easy to work with. Overall, great experience--honest, knowledgeable, and went the extra mile. If he ever offers full fridge/freezer cleaning, I'd book that too lol. Highly recommend!
