Do not use this company! They have the most horrible service. Since 2020, we have run out of gas almost 10 times. Each time, we contact Pinnacle and they find some reason it's our fault. Not only is their always full program extremely confusing, they have removed us from the service 6 times. Each time I reach out, there's some new loophole I missed or an email about a credit check we never got... and every time we run out of gas, they charge us an extra $125 for a leak check. I have been a customer with this company for five years, and ever since the changeover, the service has gone downhill. The staff is incompetent and unhelpful. Recently, I applied for customer credit with the company. My account is in good standing, yet I received an email saying I was denied due to something on my credit report--specifically student loans. I find it unreasonable that student loans should prevent a loyal customer of five years from receiving credit. What's even more frustrating is how quickly the company responded to deny my credit application, yet when I call to request a delivery, I'm met with delays, excuses, and poor service. This is by far the worst company I've ever dealt with. I wish Lakeridge would find a different provider. The only time this company moves quickly is when a negative review is posted online--they are quick to call to "fix" things once their reputation is at risk. What a misleading outfit this is. Pinnacle is simply the ivory tower to the formerly good businesses they bought and now control. I tried very had to hire United Propane, which is really Pinnacle. But lie after lie and missed appointments etc I fired them and easily hired their competitor who isn't the ivory tower. Today I get a text from the dispatcher saying I'm on their route today after I fired them! See? Run from anything Pinnacle. Pinnacle propane doesn't even deserve 1 star. On November 19th I ordered gas. it was not delivered. On November 27 I called again. THey said My card was nor charged , so they charged me $362.38 and said everything is set. The gas was not delivered. I called again on Dec. 3rd. THey gave me some excuse and said the gas would be delivered within 3 days. It is now Dec. 10th and still no gas delivered. The call center is a joke. YOu cannot get anyone competent to tell you what is going on. Right now I an fighting with them trying to get my money back. I will never use them again. I suggest you not do so either. read more

After 30+ years as a customer, my mother...who is 70+ years old. Company refused to service her home and picked up tank. Back story..there was a foul smell coming from tank, mother called company, employee came and assessed.Claimed there was only 1 appliance in use for propane tank and stated there has to be 2 connected. Company refused to refund her money for the leftover propane in tank. Employee rather offered to leave the leaking valve, mind you...that valve was the initial problem. Leave a broken valve!! I have been waiting for a propane delivery for over 3 weeks! I called for a delivery when it was at 30%. it is now empty and I am being told it will be another week!!!! I had this same problem with them two years ago but I didn't switch suppliers because delivery last year was okay. I sure wish I would have switched! Be warned. Expect 0 customer service or expediency. Used them because the tank had their name on it when I purchased the house. They filled the tank for $650 and I mistakenly paid twice, once to the driver and once from billing. Wouldn't return the over payment after requesting it by email and over the phone. They put the money on account as a credit. One year later they let the tank run out while saying on the computer they had filled it the previous week. They had not. It ran out on a Saturday night and I called and got their answering service. She said I will tell their response team and they would call. Nothing happened. The next day I called again and again got the answering service. This time someone called an hour later and said they couldn't come until the next day. This in the middle of a freezing spell and the house down to 50 degrees. My account was on autopay with 650 credit and still no service and no empathy from anyone in this company. I have belonged to several other propane companies and they were great. They never let you run out and if it did happen they had immediate emergency dispatch to take care of it. read more

We have been set up on automatic delivery for years, and today is Christmas Eve... no propane...no heat... no way to cook for Christmas...it's 50 degrees in our house with a fire and will be 20 tonight. I called Pinnacle on December 12th to request they come out and fill my tank. After holding for 40 minutes I was told that my tank would be filled within a week. December 19th no delivery yet. I called again and held for over 2 hours. I was assured that my tank would be filled by the 23rd. December 23rd tank still not filled. Called December 27th was told that tank would be filled on December 29th. They did come out and put in 100 gallons. I was told they couldn't fill my tank because they still had 4 other stops to make and they didn't have enough propane on their truck. I'll be calling them next week to get my additional propane. We are set up on auto refill, and on Dec 31, 2022, we ran out of propane. After calling twice, I'm still waiting for a direct answer on when we will be filled up. We are a family of 6 with no hot water or way to use our stove. Luckily it has not been cold as we have no heat either. Not impressed with the Collins Propane buyout from Pinnacle. There are no real systems in place regarding payment, propane filling cycles, as well as billing is unclear. Their online billing, gas order, and service are not operable. Therefore, if you don't call them they don't come on a regular cycle, and won't show when you do call for a refill. In the event that they do come to refill thew tank , the service worker does not announce their visit, you may experience a random person walking around your property, In my 15 years of being with Huffines, then United, I NEVER had to call the company regarding our services everything was on automatic pilot. As mentioned by other reviewers, I have run out of propane multiple times , as they are not completely filling the tanks, when they do make it out to fill the tanks. I would recommend double checking your tank after it is filled to ensure that your tank has completely filled, as opposed to partial filling until your next phone call to the company. As has been the experience of many of the reviewers, they are not prompt in providing propane filling services, despite multiple calls and emails. It is unacceptable, I am not sure how I can report the company, but I do want to warn others that this company is sub par at BEST! read more

Pinnacle is an unprofessional company and cannot be trusted. I requested a quote and when the service was completed, the bill was almost $400 more than the quoted amount. They also charged me more than the quoted rate for fuel. I had to contact them numerous times and they finally adjusted the fuel amount but would not refund the charges that were above and beyond the quoted amount. Just an added note: they used my tools to set up and install the tank! Not wanting to do business with a less than honest and professional company, I cancelled service in January 2024. It is now April 30, 2024 and I have still not received my refund. I also learned that they deducted a $120 from my refund for a "pump out" fee. They DID NOT pump out my tank. They picked it up and transported it full of fuel. When I inquired about that fee, I was told they charge everyone that fee whether they pump the tank out or not. Pinnacle Propane of Silver City, NM has the worst customer service of any business I have ever had the misfortune of doing business with. They have not been able to fix an issue with my mailing address after a minimum of five visits to their office which I have found closed on multiple occasions during posted business hours. First let me describe my situation: Have a 24KW whole home generator and wanted a 500 gallon propane tank set. Why 500 Gallons- because at 90% power run rate it would give me 4.25 Days of electric (remember the 3.5 days of no electric in winter storm a few years back?) Ok, I sent a request for a quote 6 months ago, no response. I call called last week and waited for 20 min for an operator and they left a message for salesman in my area. Well 4 days later I get a response and I tell him what I want. He then tells me what HE will do irregardless of my request.... He will put down a 250 Gallon propane tank ONLY (2.1 Days of run time for generator). I believe he forgot WHO the customer was as I was buying a tank not leasing or renting a tank. The people were courteous is ONLY reason you got a 3 star. Service is 1 Star in my opinion. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT EVEN WHEN THEY ARE NOT, it is up to the salesman to listen and make suggestions that are in line with his company policy or his personal preference.....NEED to remember that! read more

We assumed it was taken care of. Turns out they didn't refill our tank, we are out of propane, and it is 30 degrees outside. Your customer service is absolutely deplorable. I called to have my tank filled up on Thursday, November 4, 2021, & was told it would be 24-48 hours. When I didn't have my gas on Monday, November 8, 2021, I called to inquire. I spoke with Felicia & was told "you're not a priority because your gas level isn't low enough". Seriously? I explained I was being proactive as I would be recovering from back surgery out of town & wanted my tank filled before then. She didn't care. I asked for the price & she advised she wouldn't be able to give this to me as prices fluctuate. CAVEAT: my mother worked in the LP gas industry 25+ years, so I'm aware of this; however, a price today will give you a ball park figure even for next week. I finally got my gas on Thursday, November 11, 2021 (a full 1 week later) & my receipt was for 160.8 gallons for a total of $557.08 which is $3.39/gallon...very excessive...plus an additional $4.98 for a fuel recovery fee & $6.99 hazmat fee. I called another company & they were charging $2.90/gallon. So, I called Pinnacle back, explained the situation & they agreed to drop the price by $0.15/gal & recalculated my bill to $532.96 which I paid, in full, December 16, 2021 via credit card. As of today, March 3, 2022, Pinnacle Propane has not & will never refill my tank...EVER. Today I received 2 invoices in the mail from Pinnacle. The 1st is dated 1/31/22 showing a balance of $569.23 & the 2nd dated 2/7/22 showing a balance of $577.77. When I opened a 3rd piece of mail it was from a COLLECTION AGENCY stating I owe $587.77. I called them at 4:30PM, sat on hold until after 5PM & the entire time I was #7 in the "queue", so I finally decided they had closed up shop & gone home, so I left them a scathing voicemail demanding a call back on March 4, 2022, to address this ISSUE.. read more

Prior to Pennacle, it was Huffines, then United. I've been a customer for 23 years. Since Pennacle took over, I've ran out of propane twice in 2 months!! Both times when extremely cold weather struck. NEVER in 23 years before Pennacle has that happened. We have a meter on the house that reads our consumption and that's what we pay. It was never our responsibility to monitor the tank level, but they would put propane in on their route. If they had a truck in the neighborhood they topped it off. No need to monitor. BUT when Pennacle took over it's gone south. Trying to get in touch with them is a joke. No customer service at all!! Can't get anyone to answer or return a call. Last night the temperature was in the 20's. Third night with no heat. Went to the Wylie office Friday and they said MAYBE Saturday or Sunday, but no promises. Completely disorganized with no concern whatsoever. No answers at all. Not even showing compassion to a couple of people almost 80 years old. Wasn't wanting a fill up, just dump a couple of 20 gallon bottles to get us through the night and fill it when they can. Could NOT go to hotel or family because of medical reasons. read more

Try at ALL costs to go with another propane company. We were stuck with Pinnacle because of the previous homeowners, but it's been nothing but a complete headache. Between the frazzled customer-service reps to the company's complete lack of technological coherence, it's difficult to get what you need when you need it. My main issue is with customer service and the customer experience--- the website is always "undergoing maintenance" but never improving, and since I can never submit requests or payments online, I have to call and usually get a curt employee who is condescending and makes me feel like my requests and questions are a huge inconvenience. We also dislike the tanks themselves, as the gauges are hard to read, so we never know we're running low until the whole house starts smelling like gas. Then, when we try to get a refill, we're always told it'll be at least a week, and they can never give an exact ETA. Trust me, this is not the propane experience you need in your life. read more

We were a customer of Pinnacle for over a year. And they decided with no notice to cancel our services. No one called to inform me of this cancellation. I called one day to get a delivery and they said - gee we are sorry we no longer are going to service you. Took me over 2 weeks to get a straight answer from anyone. Jarrett Thomas was the district manager in our area and could not be bothered to contact me at all. I got no help. They left me high and dry 2 days before a major snowstorm was suppose to hit our area. If you are thinking about using this company, I would advise against it. read more
