My family is selecting a company to build our pool. While I didn't ultimately choose Pinnacle for the job, it was not at all because of the salesman/designer we worked with. His name was Jared and he was wonderful to work with. We met with 6 pool companies and Jared was the easiest and best to work with, providing good designs, making whatever tweaks we wanted, and answering any questions. Needed to have an urgent sheer decent waterfall (older pool) repair done in order to close on our house as it failed inspection; and we already relocated. I was able to contact Jet (pool designer) at Pinnacle, he coordinated with Terry, and their team was there in less than a week getting it done. Beware of this Salesman as he is not contracted to do pools, he made guarantees that he did not meet and subcontracted the job we discussed to another company who was also no licensed. When we cancelled the job he still demanded payment for work he did not complete or even start. He is a thief and a liar. read more

Terry Neeley III Pinnacle Landscape Development, Inc. Look up CSLB 892669 anger issue, intimidation, inability to read construction documents and not following adopted codes or industry standards caused errors and omissions resulted in him abandoning unfinished work in a shoddy condition. My executed contracted scope of work with Terry Neeley III included grading, irrigation, retaining walls, drainage, artificial turf and stamped and sloped concretes, level hot tub concrete pad, and deck posts footings. The value of this project was over $45,000 and he selected the start and stop schedule. With a $1,000 down payment, Terry Neeley III showed up the first day at approximately 4:00 pm (Summer day) to collect $9,000 for no work done. (Red Flag 1) He walked off the job many times due to his anger outbursts and intimidation, but always returned with an apology to do better. (Red Flag 2) Finally he walked off the job leaving it unfinished with errors, omissions and overpayment - Plain shoddy. (Red Flag 3) I sent him a certified letter to return and finish the contract, fix and complete the unfinished, shoddy work or furnish a refund. He refused to return or furnish a refund. (Red Flag 4) Months later my home project site was falling apart due to improper grading, drainage installation, unfinished concrete and irrigation piping left abandoned on the ground, the first big rain cause major flooding on the project site and washed away a portion of the hillside undamaged easement while the remaining easement damaged from his bobcat and concrete pumper equipment including all the subcontractor he hired to do work as his employees, left me exposed to easement destruction liability. (Red Flag 5) I had to use a huge amount of non project funds to fix, finished and preserve my home's disaster project. The value of my project increased by 1.5x not to mention the change orders Terry Neeley III was bleeding me for to prevent work stoppage. (Red Flag 6) A complaint to the CSLB did nothing but caused delays. (Red Flag 7) I had no choice but to take him to California Superior Court of County of El Dorado California 3321 Cameron Park Drive, Cameron Park, CA 95682 Case Number 22CV1203. Plaintiff (Home Owner) - Defendant Terry Neeley (CSLB 892669). (Red Flag 8) After many hearings, delays, trial and appeals, The California Superior Court ruled on the above matter and the court orders judgement against Terry Neeley III, (CSLB 892669) Defendant to pay the Plaintiff (Home Owner) Court findings: * The court finds that Plaintiff has met his burden that $ was the total amount paid to Defendant. * The court finds that Mr. Neeley is prone to emotional outbursts, consistent with the testimony of Plaintiff. * The court further finds that Plaintiff attempted to get Mr. Neeley to complete the job, to which he failed to do. Considering all of the above, the court finds that Defendant quit the job and therefore should be held liable for any additional costs as a result of Defendant leaving the job prematurely. * The court notes that some of the alleged defects would have been cured had Defendant remained on the job - Defendant did not return to the job. * The court finds that Plaintiff has established that he had to hire contractors to fix defects in Defendant's work. Arriving at an exact number is challenging. * The court finds that Plaintiff never received the check from Defendant. * The court finds that extra costs were incurred due to Defendant's failure to address issues within the scope of its original work. Home Owner/Victim reviews: * Had to hire other licensed contractors to fix errors and omissions, and complete project * Had to go to court to get overpayment and cost for errors from the above defendant abandoning the job. * Had to spent time and additional money for legal recommendations, re-bidding, Surety Bond and dealing with a non-responsive CSLB including making expensive triple copies to court. * Had to spend time to attend and bring witness' to three hearings, Trial and an appeal. * Had to deal with the defendant's court delays including defendant breeching by circumventing the Superior Court building sheriff's entry security system. * Defendant's angry outburst was inappropriate towards my wife and witness in court in front of the judge. * We used photos advertised on defendant's web site but the defendant could not perform the work. * Had to use wet signature for the final because all defendant's prelim quotes had electronic signatures and defendant picked and chose the prelim quote that was convenient for him but was not the final executed wet signed contract. Hiring Pinnacle Pools & Landscape was the best decision I made as a Maintenance Director. We had a spa replastering job that needed to be done. We knew we had jet leaks and that it would be an extensive project. Based on experience I had seen this project take several weeks even months to complete by other contractors. When Terry said he could have it all done in 2 weeks I was a bit skeptical, knowing things never go as planned. Exposed aggregate was going to have be removed and replaced in finding the jet leaks. When that time came Terry did not let it derail the project. Things kept moving according to plan and his team worked hard and nonstop to complete our project by the promised time. Terry communicated from beginning to end in a pleasant and informative manner. He responded to my many texts when I had any questions, comments or concerns. His crew was professional, friendly, and efficient. They made sure the site remained safe for not only their crew but for me and my staff and the members who attend our club.
