When I tried to pay him, he refused. That kind of customer service is hard to find these days. It really says a lot about a company that still takes the time to help their customers long after the job is done. During their work, additional issues arose in areas they handled, and in my experience the amount they initially offered to contribute toward repairs did not come close to covering the actual cost. This led to a lengthy back-and-forth over several months, and in the end my insurance company--not Advanced Restoration--covered the repair expenses related to those issues. I also had several concerns about professionalism while the crew was in my home. Despite multiple requests, some workers did not consistently wear shoe covers. I also heard profanity used inside my home, which made me uncomfortable. On one occasion, I observed two workers smoking in my driveway. These were not behaviors I expected from a company working in a residential environment. Overall, based on my own experience, I personally would not use this company again. I hope they take steps to improve communication, professionalism, and care for clients' homes in the future.

But did a horrible job installing the sink in my bathroom. The sick arrived broken. They said they would replace it but bright the same one back and installed it broken. It was installed not flush to the floor either. So there was a huge gap and stuff got stuck under it. They restored some patchwork, as a kind gesture but it looked worse than before, I wish they would have never roughed it. When we finally got our things from storage, things were missing, things that were brand new in boxes taken out of the new box and placed in one of their boxes, lot of brand new items came back broken. We didn't call to complain about anything else but the missing stuff. Between my husband and I, we called an upward of 20 times, sent emails and text and no one would return our calls, emails, or text. It's sad because they were really kind but this is horrible business. Please take your business elsewhere if your insurance company refers you to them.

I was super frustrated until I called Banconn Enterprise... The team was at the property within hours and secured the house (it was 9 PM when I called). The house has a brick facade, so this wasn't an easy task to accomplish. The plywood they installed would be able to withstand an F5 tornado! They didn't just screw or nail the plywood to the brick, they actually BUILT a skeleton inside the window, then secured the board. The vultures arrived within hours and it was almost impossible to know who to trust. Add to that, everything I heard about contents companies was terrible. Horror story after horror story. Items lost, broken, stolen, overcharging, recovery items still smelling like smoke, you name it. Then we met Ray Ranciato from American Fire Recovery (AFR). He had a kind and caring approach but we still didn't know if we could trust him. We had no pressure from Ray. He met with us several times over the course of a couple of weeks, explained the process thoroughly, and gave us references to check. Every single reference we called had fantastic things to say about Ray and his team. One thing about Ray - he will not leave you hanging. If he doesn't immediately answer your call, he will immediately call you back. The only time he has not answered us has been when he was with another client. We have tons of respect for Ray. This is such a great team of people and we received the best care we could hope for during a very stressful event. Dave did a complete inventory of all our belongings, complete with serial numbers and measurements. This made it so much easier to report unsalvageable items to our insurance company. He took pictures of all of our things, including spreading out the wrecked items and photographing them so we could try to recognize our destroyed belongings. And then there's Lawrence - well, what can we say about Lawrence. He's one of the kindest people I've known. He handled our items with so much respect and care. When he returned boxes of our contents back to us, they were packaged professionally. Every box was put in the room it belonged in (the boxes were labeled by room/contents) with the top split open for us so we could dive in and unpack. Items that were less priority were loaded into our garage, in groups of what room they belonged in. Lawrence would regularly return to remove empty boxes and packing. He took the items we no longer wanted and donated them for us. He even removed our "garbage" items - things that were not donatable. He even offered to hang our pictures throughout the house! We are so grateful for his care and kindness. He and Small Fry (his cute little dog and company mascot) are welcome to our house any time! A fire is a horrific experience. AFR eased the pain for us. I get nothing in return by recommending them. I know how awful a fire is and want other people to have the same great experience my husband and I had.
