I got ahold of their owner Rafael - from the initial call, he asked the right questions, understood the severity and instead of Rafael saying my visit will be $_______... he said "I'll be right over". I appreciated this because I expressed the urgency. Some may say it was an emergency call, exactly right. Within the hour he arrived with his assistant and started diagnosing the electrical issues. Within 2 hours he was able to pinpoint and address concerns while explaining what he was doing throughout the process. Incredible! Pricing is what one should expect for such a specialty trade. Very fair value for the time spent. Customer service goes a long way and this company should be at the top of the list for any electrical work in the Bay Area. However, based on very strong yelp reviews, I decided to give Duke Electric a go. And I have to say thanks to Yelp and Duke as we remodel a rental It has been a fairly stress-free process so far. Duke responded to the message within Yelp almost immediately. The first part that stood out is his promptness. He answers his phone. I don't think I left one voicemail during the entire process. We had a host of electrical issues that we needed to address before we could put the Home back on the market. The other shocking part to me at least was that Duke was respectful of my time. If he said he was gonna be there at 9 o'clock he was there and in fact, I had initially assumed we would be on typical contractor time, but realized very quickly. I needed to be there when he said he was gonna be there. We had a fairly extensive list of I've work we needed to get done and it was all completed in a timely fashion. Add to this, his prices were actually better than some of the other estimates we received and going back the customer service was excellent. I contacted Duke about wiring and installation of 3 fans…read more Of the 4 different electrical contractors that we contacted he was the most responsive and understood exactly what we needed, even though I sent the same message via Yelp to the other contractors. His pricing was similar to the others and he understood that I didn't want any drywall damage. The others could or would not accomodate this request. He was flexible about the day and time for installation and worked around remote work meetings schedules and separate fan delivery from Home Depot. He was able come by on a Friday and his crew were able to pre wire in everything in a couple of hours without any holes in the drywall by pulling the wire through the existing conduit. The fans arrived the next day on Saturday and he was able to again accomodate the remote work meeting schedule and able to install these very nice fans in a couple of hours and even immediately corrected the tilted rod that one of his crew had installed incorrectly. I am a perfectionist and one of the most difficult people to impress and gotta say I was very impressed. We were impressed by his communications, punctuality, and flexibility. We recommend Duke Electric for any electrical jobs whether they are large or small.

I didn't appreciate the urgency (she said I needed it done asap, when I had at least 4 to 5 months). Aside from that, the communication from the project manager was competent & efficient. When Trout took over communication went haywire. During the city permitting process they said in their letter to me that I just needed to be home for (think the window was 8:30 to 9:45am). They said nothing about having to keep opening and closing my garage door access. Well, I refuse to use my PTO from work because they're not sure how long they're going to be, or the start and end times. So around 3 PM at work I got a frantic text from another (different) project manager asking me to open my garage. Well, hello, there is no power, so how can I open the garage? Finally, they got that sorted out and around 5 PM one of their techs asked me to open my garage. I never got a response back from him when I asked to confirm if he was done and I could shut it again (by the way, I was doing this remotely from work since I have an app.) Communication needs to greatly improve in order for me to recommend this business.

At first, I had multiple positive experiences with CS Electric. They installed my Tesla charger,…read morereplaced my electrical panel, and later worked on my breakers. I appreciated their professionalism during the first few projects. Unfortunately, my most recent service--the most expensive one--left me disappointed. After the work was completed, I noticed that one breaker on my panel was missing a label. When I asked Caio, the owner, about it, I was told that they could not identify it during testing and that it might be connected to a hidden outlet. I was advised to turn the breaker off for several hours, or even a day, and see what stops working. When I asked what the old panel had listed for that breaker, I was told there was no label. As a customer who paid on time and in full, I expected better accountability. Since all of the wiring was stripped and reconnected during the panel replacement, I believe identifying and properly labeling the circuits should have been part of the job. The lack of ownership and follow-through was frustrating. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this service moving forward.
