I went in for transmission fluid change earlier in February in my Toyota Camry 2018. I bought OEM Toyota transmission fluid and asked Joe to help do drain and fill. The drain and fill was completed. After that there was a rough driving issues started. I went back to show my car to joe and he drove the car he told me he don't see any issues. I wanted him to check transmission fluid port on if there is low transmission fluid he didn't agree and told me I might be overthinking. I went to different mechanic in April and he checked. I paid $100 to reopen the port for transmission fluid and what we saw was no fluid came out from the primary port. He added 0.5 quarters left. The issues I have had for rough idle and need to have higher RPM on slope went away completely.According to him you have to keep the car running when you drain the fluid and you need to have it at the right temperature he said the drain and fill wasn't done correctly that's why there was still room for fluid. The viscosity of the fluid makes a difference in how much you can fill and drain. He double checked for leakage and there were no leaks either. When I went to joe and asked about don't you have to keep car warm to see if temperature is right? He said you only do it when there is a leak. I don't think Joe knew enough about mechanics of New car. I wasn't overthinking when I went to ask Joe for help and asked to recheck the transmission fluid. I paid $260 for labor only( $160 to Joe and $100 to another mechanic) for same job. It's really absurd. Overall this could have damaged my transmission. I think for future the customer advise should be taken seriously. I know my car well so I know when it's not acting good. I have been driving it from 10 years.

I have been coming to this Valvoline location for years for oil changes and occasional additional…read moreservices. As someone who doesn't know a lot about cars, I have always appreciated the convenience and trusted the employees to take care of my vehicle. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has caused me to lose that trust. During my last oil change, there were several attendants working and everyone was friendly and talkative. I was actually happy to see that a woman would be servicing my car, since you don't often see women working in these positions. At one point during the service, I heard something drop, but I didn't think anything of it and drove away believing everything was fine. The very next day, multiple warning lights came on in my car, including the check-engine light. I immediately called Valvoline and was told to bring the car back. I did, waited my turn, and a male attendant inspected the car and ran the diagnostic code. He told me that everything they had serviced appeared to be fine and that I would need to take the car to a mechanic. So I did and had to pay a diagnostic fee, only to find out that a cap had been cracked. The mechanic showed me the damaged cap, and I was honestly in disbelief. What disappoints me most is that if something was accidentally damaged during my oil change, I simply wish someone had told me. Accidents happen. I would have understood that. What is upsetting is that the damaged cap appears to have been put back on without anything being said, leaving me to discover the problem only after warning lights came on and I had spent additional money at a mechanic trying to figure out what was wrong. After being a customer here for years, I'm genuinely disappointed that this experience has left me feeling like I need to find another place for my oil changes.

Partway through the repair, he got stuck because he didn't have the proper tools to get the belt back on. That's when Art stepped in. He quickly diagnosed the issue, helped complete the repair, and patiently waited while my husband went to purchase the correct parts, which took an additional 20-40 minutes. Once the parts arrived, Art finished the installation, reassembled everything that had been removed, and even cleared the error codes the vehicle had thrown during the repair process. Throughout the entire experience, he was professional, straightforward, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. Art came prepared with an impressive array of tools and the expertise to handle whatever the job required. His willingness to help after hours and his commitment to getting the vehicle back on the road made a stressful situation much easier. We couldn't be happier with the service and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an honest, skilled, and dependable mechanic. 5 stars all the way.
