We waited longer than a nearby table that came, ate, and left, yet our food still wasn't served. Staff seemed to focus only on serving multiple dishes to a food blogger. I was pleasantly surprised by this place! First off, the decor is very clean and modern. I was expecting it to be completely pink due to the name, but when I came in it was more warm, neutral tones. The aesthetic is adorable. They even serve their water in geometric cups with rose gold rims. They have banh xeo tacos, which blew my mind because I have consumed copious amounts of banh xeo over the years but why haven't I thought of this before? Genius! Their chicken wings were also solid and come in a fish sauce as well as a sweet and sour sauce. My favorite dish was the tom yum pasta. I appreciate them being innovative with this dish and taking one of my favorite Thai soups and fusing it with a pasta dish. It was a little spicy, but the right amount of spicy. This place is a complete joke. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. I ordered takeout and spent about $100, and every dish was awful. Used to came here for the Shaken Beef Macaroni, Bun Cha Ca Thi La, and the Spicy Noodle a while a go and had such great experience with this restaurant. Back this time today 07/18 because my daughter asked to grab more blind bags for her. The waitress told me that the promotion ended and I was ok with that. But unfortunately the food didn't make it up to my expectation this time. They changed the menu and kitchen staffs from what I heard so my favorites were all gone. What a let down! Eventually I went ahead and ordered two garlic noodle dishes, one with beefsteak and one with shaken beef. Both were just lack of flavor according to my kids. I got the banh xeo taco. They tried to create something fancy but it is just the decoration. The taco shell is basically deep fried to get the crunchiness and the filling is only some shrimps with veggies. Fusion but lack of connection between the cuisines. The only thing were ok is the dubai chocolate matcha latte (taste the same as last time) and the customer services. The food is ok to me, the beefsteak is 7/10, the sauce is kinda insipid ( probably cuz I'm more into salty food), and the bun rieu is 8/10 to me (the veggie is on point so it's a plus, not many places give you the right veggies for bun rieu), and the topping is pretty fresh from the crab, the cha to the tofu (some places used old tofu and you can taste the weird sloppy texture). Their bánh xèo tacos are definitely a selling point. They are very good. But we also order their clay pot & Bo Nè. My husband liked the Bo Nè. It's a good equivalence to the American steak & eggs breakfast dish. The clay pot is not a traditional Chinese clay pot, but the flavors are good with the lemongrass & sautéed onions. It's a little on the spicy side for any bland eaters. Overall a great find & a great pick for breakfast. I had breakfast here last Sunday, and I noticed the restaurant has a new owner--so the food has changed as well. They still serve French-style dishes, and we tried the steak, which was incredibly soft and tender.
