8 years since my previous review. I changed clubs almost annually. Different manufacturers. 6 months ago I bought an entire set of vintage 2017 Ping G400 irons, 4 iron thru lob wedge. Got them for a low price on eBay from a brick n' mortar golf store in Alabama. In excellent condition. 2 months ago out of curiosity I attended a Ping demo day at my local golf course. Wanted to smack some of the latest models of clubs. While hitting some balls rather poorly the Ping guy says to me "Here, let's put you in a green dot 2 degrees upright, it will straighten out your shots". 5 swings with arrow straight ball flights I admit that he is absolutely correct. So rather buy a whole set of new clubs for close to $1600 I decide to have my perfectly useable 8 year old Pings modified. I send them off to the factory repair shop. I learn that the waiting list for the work is 4 - 6 weeks. After a kerfuffle with my work order the clubs do come home to me in six weeks. I'm totally satisfied with the modifications. The shop even polished up the heads. My cost for modifying 10 clubs was $36 plus $20 for return shipping. Fantastic! Like I said in my 2017 review, after playing golf clubs from many, many manufacturers I am the best potential golfer with Ping clubs. Oh, my driver, 5 wood and 3 hybrid are also Ping. Just my putter is a Taylormade Spider. Which is kind'a hilarious as Ping started out as a golf putter company. read more

PING Golf - Golf Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

PING has not been very cooperative with replacing my driver in a timely fashion. I bought a G430 driver at Golf Galaxy earlier this year (2025), it broke on me in the middle of a round 3 weeks ago almost and when I brought it back to the Golf Galaxy I bought it from, they told me 10 to 14 days (this was on August 12th). I want to receive something complimentary for this burden from the company but they again are being uncooperative. I will never recommend going back to PING or purchasing any of your products even though I love my driver. Thank you. read more

Ping is no longer the great customer service and quality product company that they used to be. First of all my g-10 lob wedge cavity weight was starting to come off. That is something I expect from a Chinese knockoff. I took in for repair, they said they can't fix because they don't have a replacement weight. And it's out of warranty. He suggested I use superglue. In the past they used to just take care of any problems no questions asked. Not anymore. I will never praise or buy any products from that company!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

My history with PING goes as far back as when I first started playing golf. It's one of the sport's iconic brands. My dad still has a set of Ping Eye 2 irons (1980s vintage) including a 1-iron. I remember taking it to the range. Hitting it just felt weird. I have a PING golf bag and it has stood the test of time. It came from the pro shop at Oak Hollow Golf Course in High Point, North Carolina circa 1995. Yep, I've had the same golf bag for about 25 years now. My dad got a matching bag, but his didn't last as long (he also traveled and played a lot more rounds than me). Both our PING bags made it to our rounds at Pebble Beach and the Old Course at St. Andrews. They also went as far west as Kapalua Plantation in Maui and as far south as Doral, outside Miami. My PING bag has traveled with me to almost every golf course I've played. It's seen all sorts of weather, from scalding hot sun (the bag's red color has faded over the years) to freezing cold temperatures (I've played rounds where ponds were frozen oven). It's endured its fair share of rain, inspections by TSA, and countless handlings by tens of dozens of cart attendants and the occasional caddie. 95+% of the time, I'm riding, but I've walked with the bag too (either on my back or on a trolley/push cart). Aside from a dent in one of its legs, the bag is just as functional today as when I first got it. I love it. It'll be sad when the day comes when I have to replace it. As far as clubs go, I have a classic PING Anser 3 putter. It was a hand-me-down and, like my dad's Ping Eye 2 irons mentioned above, I believe is 1980s vintage. It's a great putter. Short and light. Out of all the putters I've owned, I always felt I had the most control with the Anser. We had an old-school Pingman (or Mr. Ping) putter grip put on it (made by Golf Pride, the blackout version). It's the same or similar putter grip that Tiger Woods has used on his putters for virtually his entire career. Except for the 1997 Masters, he used it to win all of his majors, including his most recent Masters win in 2019. Unlike so many others on the PGA Tour, he never hopped on the popular SuperStroke bandwagon. PING actually started out as a putter company in 1959. You'll see "KARSTEN MFG. CORP." printed on the clubs. Karsten Solheim was the founder of PING and for whom the biennial Solheim Cup is named after. Needless to say, I'm a fan of PING and I recommend their equipment. read more

Have owned Ping clubs for most of my golf existence (42 years). Currently have the G400 series of driver, fw wood, and hybrids. Have been playing these clubs for a few years now and been enjoying them. Although, now my #2 and #4 hybrids have created an annoying rattle in the club head. Called Ping for assistance, as they are very good about backing their expensive clubs. Well, not anymore! I was told the warranty on their defects are only 3 years. I find this unacceptable. So much so that I'm giving up on them as a company. I will spend my money on one of the several other companies out there with highly rated clubs. In regards to club repair: Wow! Simply wow! Ping's customer service at club repair is on another level. I had my my set of s56 irons and wedges adjusted from black dot to green dot lie. Not only did they do this at no charge, they also repainted the dot, repainted the number, replaced the shaft bands, and had them ready in less than 24 hours. I live locally so I was able to drop them off and pick them up. They also gave me a putter cover for an old Anser putter, again, at no cost. I purchased 2 full sets of ping irons 1 for myself and 1 for my father. After having issues spraying the ball everywhere I went back to my old callaway irons. I went to 3 other fitters to show them the issues with my g400's and they stated I was not fitted properly and to call ping since their customer service is great and they will fix the issies if you call them especially with as much money as I spent. I called ping and explained the situation and they wanted to charge me $85 a club to get my clubs reshafted and fitted properly I am extremely disappointed and would hope someone would reach out to me to make it right. read more

Bought an entire set of PING G425s. The Driver, full set of irons, the 5W, and the 3 Hybrid. This is my first set of custom fitted golf clubs and they feel great. I'm 6'6", 260 lbs AND I'm left handed. It's extremely hard to find a set of clubs off the rack. I'm happy though, these clubs are great. I'm a PING customer for life. I have an in-person fitting for a PLD putter scheduled for late July, 2022. Can't wait!! read more

Living in Phx for almost all of my life and I can't believe it took me so long to come to Ping and actually get fitted for golf clubs. Probably because I thought it would be like a car lot with pressure salesman trying to talk me into buying the most expensive price of equipment. Well I couldn't have been more wrong! It's a little tucked away but follow the directions off of Desert Cove, a few blocks north of Peoria Ave and you will find it. Don't expect a giant warehouse...it's more like a small office building. They don't take reservations but we got there at about 2pm on a Monday and had to wait about an hour. We just left the facility to get coffee down the street and came back. I was fitted by Mike M and he was excellent. I told him that I wanted to be fitted for irons and a hybrid and he did an excellent job. Not only did he fit me for clubs, but used the data from my personal swing to get it right. The hour I spent at Ping was almost as much if a golf lesson as it was a fitting. I also attempted to get fitted for a driver but was given the great advice if waiting till I get better at my game before I jump into an expensive $350 driver. That's the beauty of the fitting. They don't sell clubs here and they don't pressure you into spending tons of money. I ended up taking my blue print to a local golf store and ordered a set of G25 irons. I am very happy at my first time owning a set of Ping golf clubs! Oh a bonus tip..you can also checkout clubs from the factory and try them out for a while. I haven't don't thing but when I'm ready for a driver I'll be checking out a few to try on the range/course before I buy. I'm a Ping customer for life now! read more

If you're golf passionate like me then I think you might want to consider a trip to the PING fitting center, located near their factory in Phoenix. The best part about this fitting is it's free! The doors to the fitting center open at 7:30 am. Arriving early is good advice. We got here about an hour before opening and probably wouldn't have needed to get there quite that early but they have a limited numbers of bays so depending upon where you are in line your wait could be up to 2 hours. If you decide to come in the afternoon (wouldn't recommend it) keep in mind their doors close at 4:30pm and if you don't get called by 3pm you may not be able to be seen that day. The fitters at PING are all well trained and provide you with a thorough fitting. Their proprietary software is effective at determining exact specifications. This is a tremendous value compared to some of the other fitters (like Hot Stix Golf). Granted (with Hot Stix) you are able to hit outside but they charge $250 for a basic fitting (for an entire set of clubs). Of course PING's goal is to get you to buy new clubs but there is no obligation here and it's always great knowing that any new clubs you buy are properly fitted. read more

I ordered a set of irons the first week of March, was told it would take 3-4 weeks. Called the end of March and was told they would be shipped 4-12 to my club. Called a couple of days after the 12th and was told they will be shipped 4-17. On the 28th they were called and said that the grips were on back order and not sure when they would be in. We said we would stop by and pick the clubs up and we would put the grips on. Went in to pick them up and they said they were not made because the shafts were on back order. Two other people at our club here in the Phoenix are having the same run around. They are not being truthful up front about what is happening at the factory. Doesn't say much about their integrity!! Don't order something and expect to play with them any time in the near future. read more

Bar none the best customer service experience I have ever had. I always go here for my customs fittings and every time I walk through the door I feel just as important as a professional player. They tell you everything you need to know about what clubs you need and even offer a bit of advice on you could get the most out of every shot. I have been fitted for putters, irons, and woods and even made adjustments afterwards with no hassle at all. If you are thinking about becoming a more serious golfer you should consider a custom fit. I have been trying for the past 2 months to get my new purchased Hoofer 14 bag replaced as the stay is broken and I have a hard time using the bag. Talking to customer service during this time as been very hard and when I did finally talk to someone they suggested dropping off the bag to be sent in to the factory for repair. The problem is they didnt offer a loaner or replacement bag so not sure what they expected for me to use in the meantime. RECOMMEND using another company such as Titleist which I have used in the past and never had an issue. read more

The Customer Service should get The JD Powers Award. Today February 7th I stopped in the Club Repair Office to have a few clubs repaired. The individuals went out of there way to much sure I was satisfied with my situation and indicate the clubs would be ready Thursday morning. Later today, I called to schedule a fitting at Kierland for Friday. I causally mention about being at the Club Repair early in the day and the Gentleman said you do not have to come back to the factory they will bring my clubs to me on Friday. I have used Ping repair several times, Thursday was the most recent. They reshafted my IBlade pitching wedge. I was told that they were super busy, and would have it done by Tuesday. About 4 hours later, I received a call from the shop saying that they had gotten it done sooner than they expected! Picked it up Friday morning after my round. My wedge looked brand new! First class in every way, including covered areas with state of the art Astro turf for hitting in case of bad weather, which is rare for the Valley of the Sun. This new facility replaces the old hitting nets at the factory. Plus you can make an appointment . Fitting instructors are well trained and have a check list to guide them to fit the player with the best possible clubs, e.g. putting a 3 wood shaft with a 4 wood head. If a player isn't hitting the new hybrid woods, properly, he gets a lesson from the fitting instructor on how to hit them. read more

Not at all happy with your company right now! I've been playing Ping for 30 years. I broke the shaft on my 4 year old driver and called to order a new one, as I love the original combination and don't want to change it. Was told that I couldn't order one and that I had to send everything back to Ping. I explained that I was in a tournament this weekend and time wouldn't allow that. They refused to SELL me an OEM shaft! To add insult to injury the warranty is for 3 years. I guess I called NO customer service instead of a reputable company's customer service department! read more

I've always heard great things about Ping products, but now I've had the opportunity to experience the amazing customer service when getting custom fit for my new G25 irons that I purchased earlier this week. From the moment that I walked in the door I felt welcome. I was custom fit by Nick. Nick told me a lot of things about my swing that I was not aware of and even gave me an education on how and why my clubs should be adjusted ever so slightly. Had a great time at the ping factory today. Eric was a great club fitter and took the time to explain to me what a real ping golf club looks like, as I found out today I have been swinging a knock off set for the last 4 years. After a few laughs he went through every part of the fitting and took time to explain every adjustment. He then walked me over to the repair portion of the factory and helped me get set up to repair the one and only legit ping club I had! Thanks Eric! Brand new G30 driver. on the 25th tee ball, first tee on my second round with the club, i hit my tee ball, heard an awful crack and had just the grip with 8 inches of shaft below it. the club head actually hit me in the back! The pro shop where i purchased it called ping for warranty coverage, and Ping said they wouldn't cover it!!! I personally called and complained and a gruff sounding rep eventually agreed to replace the shaft free. Now, i accidentally broke a driver head off of a early model Callaway- the pro shop called them- they told the shop to give me a new one right there, and send the old one back. THAT is customer service. Now the real question- will i ever trust another Pins driver shaft? probably not. nor their customer service. And i was a BIG ping guy, 4 sets of irons 3 drivers, 3 putters, bags etc. they let me down read more

Went to Karston's today for a fitting. Signage was bad, but I eventually found the building. They close at 4:30pm and I got there at 2:30pm. A sign was on the door, "due to the number of fittings, we are not doing any more today." Ping clubs are nice, but my time is just as valuable as theirs. I think I'll go to Golfsmith or Van's and buy another brand. read more

Never buy Ping. I'm a 8 handicap that has owned at least 5 sets of pings from Eye2 to the current G model. Never squabbled over price and just had a custom set fit for me. Clubs are about 2 months old and after about the 10th swing of the new four iron the shaft snapped in half. I can only assume the shaft was faulty, damaged in shipping or something as in 25 years of swinging Ping clubs I had one club break previously and that was from hitting an OB rope on my follow through....totally my fault. So why after 25 years of swinging Ping will I be the most outspoken critical of them because after 2 months and 10 swings they refused to warranty claiming most have been club abuse. I started with my handicap to demonstrate some level of skill and respect for the game and 25 years of ping history....I don't break clubs. No accountability at all. Headed to Scotland to play for 2 weeks now and PGA Superstore now has to put in aftermarket shaft...SHAME ON PING read more

I am shocked by the ignorance shown from broken shafts and blaming that on Ping. True Temper and other shaft manufacturers make shafts, Ping does not. Ping and Callaway, Titleist, Mizuno, et al, buy shafts from other manufacturers and cannot control their quality. Ping makes the head of drivers, fairway metals, hybrids, irons, wedges, and putters but they don't make shafts. Most people have great experience with Ping's service, myself included, even though we all wish they'd open up a bit more and send parts to those of us who can build clubs - just replacement pieces, not a set of heads. The elastomer insert is one thing that they could loosen up little - putting one in only requires epoxy. I've changed my own shafts numerous times and at least we can get ferrules for the irons that use them and adapters for the adjustable drivers and fairway metals. Whining about a broken shaft - jeez - a steel shaft is pretty cheap and any repair shop can quickly replace it, and graphite shafts are also reasonably priced - one can also buy OEM pulled shafts and gen-u-whine shafts on eBay, for crying out loud. read more
