I never leave reviews but this is something that I had to say. I was having trouble with an ARCIS Membership question. I called the golf shop and James answered the phone. He not only tried to help me with the problem but he researched how to help me and called me back when he found the information. After figuring out what needed to be done, it was needing a managers approval. James was able to get the situation to the manager and he personally called me to explain how we could fix the situation. The manager called another club and made the situation work out. Unbelievable effort Customer service has been declining in pretty much every area of the service industry over the last 5 yrs or more. The effort given by James and the manager was nice to receive. The course is great but not Andy at the golf shop. He definitely needs some customer service training. We checked in for my 2 sons. Then decided we wanted a cart so went back. He asked why we needed another cart. He never told us our rounds came with a cart. I also witnessed 2 guys (who we ended up playing with) who checked in got the worse service. Andy threw (literally) their receipt and credit card at them. It's just unacceptable, especially first thing in the morning prior to tee off. I have staff on the front line and would never let this slide. I hope he gets some good customer service training or put him behind the office away from the public. read more

Surprisingly rude staff for a municipal course. Started off by making my teenage son rent clubs and telling him he couldn't drive the golf cart. Then made us start 15 mins early instead of allowing us to warm up and then made us skip a hole because we're weren't going fast enough. Super lame and stressful experience. read more

Day 1 of daddy/daughter golf trip in the books! Flew out from the east coast and staying on site at the Embassy Suites, so we started off here at Stonecreek for convenience. Location - 10 Pro Shop - 10 Snack Bar/Restaurant- 8 Driving Range - 6 T Boxes - 8 Fairways - 8 Greens - 9 Bunkers - 2 Starter/Ranger/Beverage Cart - 10 Pace of Play - 8 Average - 8.8 Pretty good place to play with more trouble out there than meets the eye, i.e. Stonecreek ;-) so playing this course a few times definitely will help. Thankfully we were paired with a lovely lady named Sandy (ironic?) who shared with us the local knowledge. Everything was great other than people not raking the traps. Yes, I know, don't hit it there, however I had several horrible lies due to people not raking their footprints, so I just raked the trap and gave myself a decent lie. Remember, it's only a game. Go somewhere else. 1. Pace of play was inexcusable for $89 per player. This is a constant problem according to the reviews. That means it's a poor management or poor funding for better management issue. By the 6th hole we were waiting on 2 parties in front of us and there was 1 behind us simply sitting at each hole waiting to tee off. It took our party of 2 almost 4 hours to get to hole 17 and then it was dark. We didn't get to finish. You can go to mountain shadows or GCU, or really any of the city courses for this price and play a better maintained course. 2. No ranger in sight. If they had a ranger, which they clearly don't, issue 1 wouldn't be a problem. 3. The greens are trashed. Mini golf courses have better greens. It makes the game no fun when you are waiting 20 minutes between holes to get to a green that is like playing on wood flooring. Come on it's December in AZ. Have some more pride in your course. 4. The course itself is beautiful. The long drives are fun and challenging without being to penal. 5. The staff in the bar/restaurant were very friendly. read more

I have been fortunate enough to visit Stone Creek Golf Club numerous times this summer and its become a go to when I'm in town. A fun course with a wonderful staff. My hats off to Kelly on the "19th hole". She always has a welcoming demeanor and provides Tier 1 customer service. Very amazing place to play golf or have a couple beers in the bar area. As a golfer the golf course was pretty challenging but definitely rewarding hitting good shots. Amazing layout, great greens. Would recommend playing with some buddies at this course read more

Tried to call regarding a mistaking with Golf Now. No answer in the golf shop. Was directed to the assistant GM who was by far the rudest person I have ever spoken to. Stone Creek Golf Course has events each month throughout the year. From live music to trivia. It's nice to be able to play a round of golf and listen to live music after an afternoon round. Kelly a bar tender who works many of these events is outstanding! That girl is a hustler, she is on it all the time and can handle a big crowd by herself very impressive. read more

I've been a Arcis Prime member for a few years and have played their courses numerous times. You expect certain things as a member and different courses thrive on different things. The one thing I can attest to at Stonecreek is the service from one particular cart girl.... Terresa (T) Always a smile, always a hello and you can tell she likes what she does. Course was in solid condition but the staff didn't alert us of men's league when I called to make the time. Convenient when they take 25 minutes per hole and are littered on the course. We scheduled 5:09am tee time for a quick 2.5 hour round but also ran into back 9 groups teeing off at 6:20am. Disappointing. read more

Been a fan and regular of stone creek for sometime, but I will not be returning after what I saw recently. Allowing an employee of the golf course to dress up as a golfer and put spike strips down in the grass where some of the younger kids ride their electric bikes is insane. He had a 10 minute conversation with us about how many tires he popped, how he sets up traps etc. While I understand these kids are trespassing, they are just kids. Hopefully none of them get seriously hurt and sue you guys into the ground. read more

Course is in horrible shape. Fairways way underwattered, tee boxes so hard that putting a tee in the ground difficult. No grass fairways. For $70 a waste of money. Oh yah forgot to tell us they punched several fairways. read more

I could quit being happy but then I am not a quitter. I am happiest on the golf course and this one sure does leave a smile on my face. I consider it my neighborhood spot since it's literally around the corner from me. I love coming here for their events. So fun when they had live music. Parking is easy but sometimes it gets overcrowded with the surrounding hotel guest or if there's a tournament going on. Staff is super sweet and gracious. If you get the chance, snag an annual pass because it's so worth it. Love that the driving range is real grass and not a mat; ball prices are so affordable. After playing enough courses, here's what I discovered. I will say the first hole is always a challenge because of the berm and it's like playing hide-and-seek with your ball if you don't have a great drive from the tee box. Hole 2 is always fun for the same reason but add a lake to give you that water hazard. Hole 3 is probably my favorite because I can make par or birdie if I hit with my hybrid. Hole 7 is the longest frickin hole ever but you can easily hit par if you can make it past the forest up ahead. That's all the tips I will give you because you will experience it yourself playing this course. Stonecreek is in good shape especially after the rain we had. During the summer, it's not too bad since it's typical desert golf. You have to work on your happiness like it's a full time job. That means scheduling in golf on a weekly basis as a standing meeting. That's how you punch in time. read more

Often, on Saturdays, I have lunch at the restaurant at Stone Creek Golf Club and I have found the food and service to be very good. The specials are often amazing and even the hot dogs are good. Sam & Sheri provide very nice, attentive service in the restaurant and Melissa in the beverage cart out on the course. I always enjoy my time at Stone Creek. read more

Overall the course, conditions, and value is fair to good. However, if you play late in the day, be aware people will be out walking their dogs and they all have an entitled and clueless attitudes. I don't understand why the course allows these folks to trespass during golfing hours, but they do nothing to stop the problem. It was a rainy day so it was very quiet in the restaurant. I had smoked buffalo wings and my wife had a cobb salad. Both we good portions and tasted great. Went with a threesome and got paired with a solo. They said we could pay for an extra cart so one of us didn't have to sit with the solo but they changed their mind. After 9 holes are cart died and we called the shop and they said they would send someone down but no one came so we got a ride on are friends cart. read more

Literally everyone working here should be fired except the cart girl and restaurant staff. I've played this course for 30 years, it has steadily gone hill until the point of unplayable. We used to love the challenging design. As of yesterday, many trees removed, intentions and crab grass growing on the greens, much of the fairways dust and dirt, the best part was on #12 we had to dodge 10 motocross kids doing jumps in front of us trying to tee off. Tried to call the club house, no answer, told the guy cleaning out clubs at the end of the round and he said ya, we call the cops but they are 13 and we can't do anything about it. So sad, been playing this course for many years, I don't know who now owns this dog track but the pro, pro shop staff, and management should be fired yesterday. Used to be a nice gem in the middle of Phx, now an absolute disaster. read more

A much better experience then the previous day's round at Talking Stick Golf Golf Club. Whereas the O'odham course was incredibly plain and lacking in character, Stonecreek offered much greater variety in the presentation of holes, nicely contoured fairways and interesting hazards. Throw in pretty well maintained surfaces - particularly the fairways and greens - a pleasant staff and a nice touch with respect to guest services (a course ranger provided chilled towels to mitigate the mid morning heat) and you've got a winner. Recommended if you're in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and are in search of a course. read more

Course wasn't bad. Pace of play well regulated in the beginning but ended up bottle necking due to a large group with 4 groups on one hole. A few players got frustrated and left, including us. The service was awful. My boyfriend looked up the price for tee times about 2 days in advance and made a reservation. Day of, they try to charge us a different much higher price. The guy that assisted us in the shop was rude. When my boyfriend asked about the price difference he got noticeably annoyed and defensive. My boyfriend said "oh, that's fine I guess" and tried to hand his card over for payment but the guy clacked on the computer while ignoring him then offered us a different pricing. We thanked him and he asked for my ID which I had left in the car, I apologized and literally ran to go get it after he sighed and glared at me. After I gave it to him he slapped it on the table. I ended up leaving my wallet, but when I called the next day, the guy that answered the phone said rude and nearly cut me off when I asked about it because he "didn't see anything". My boyfriend called to try to leave his contact information and also got a similar experience. He ended up going and asking the cart attendants who were actually very nice each time we interacted with them. They allowed him & helped search the carts but found nothing. Left this course with 20+ bug bites despite wearing repellent. Greens weren't bad but had people walking dogs & riding bikes on (not on the pathways) & around course. 1st time on this course and unfortunately, will not be back. read more

The good: course was in good condition for September. They mowed all the trees down. Feels like camelback ambiente or padre course. Cart women was extremely nice and checked on us twice. The marshal came to give us a heads up regarding the tournament that's starts at 8am at hole 12. The bad: we had one of the early tee times and ran into a disgruntled cart/bag boy up front. No good morning or any greeting. We informed that we prepaid and he told us to set the bag down in a strong tone. Okay all good. He might have had a rough night. Came back out to look for my bag and he had put it on a cart. I walked to meet up my cartner and grabbed another cart with being 3 bags. While at the range he drove up and scolded us about taking carts and not listening. Someone clearly pissed in his coffee for him to be so strong in his approach. Our fourth came later and he made him walk to the range and didn't offer to drive him to drop him off. Just a terrible experience all around. The guy in the bucket hat was cool. This guy with the white oakleys and no hat should learn some bed side manners if he wants to give a good customer experience for us to come back. read more

I was in town visiting a friend on 1/25 Saturday and we played a round of golf at your course. I have to say that it was in real good shape. The cart girl Kelly made sure that we were taken care of and even recommended the smash burger at the club house. It was fantastic! The staff was great and hats off to Kelly she really made our day.
