Day 3 of 5 day golf trip. Was so looking forward to the Stadium course as you know it from the waste management open. Overall, good experience. Played end of Sept and the course was not in the best of shape. Partly due to amount of rain they had received. However it wasn't what I was expecting- lots of construction going on as they were already preparing for tournament as grandstands were going up and heat machinery was abundant. Still enjoyed it. And can relate to the holes now especially par 3 - 16 hole. read more

I'll start by giving credit where it's due: the course itself has a good layout and was in solid condition, especially considering the amount of rain Arizona has received. My issue is not with the golf course--it's with the overall experience and management. I'm currently on a cross-country golf trip, play 3-4 times a week, and have had the opportunity to play many highly regarded courses, including other TPC and PGA-level facilities. Based on those experiences, I expected a similar standard here. During our round, my playing partner and I were approached on two separate occasions by employees who accused us of not checking in or paying for our tee times. Between two tee times and merchandise, I spent approximately $1,300 at the facility, yet I still had to produce my receipt twice to prove that we had paid. Once could be a misunderstanding. Being questioned twice points to a breakdown in communication and made us feel as though we were being treated like we had done something wrong. The biggest disappointment, however, was the pace of play. It was easily one of the worst pace-of-play experiences I've had at a course of this caliber. There appeared to be little to no enforcement on the course. I have experienced significantly better pace management at municipal courses charging a fraction of the price. When a facility carries the TPC name and charges premium rates, golfers should reasonably expect a premium level of service, organization, and course management. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. For comparison, our experience at We-Ko-Pa was considerably better from an overall service and golf-experience standpoint. The course itself has plenty going for it, but management and customer service need improvement. At this price point and reputation level, the overall experience should be much better. read more

TPC Scottsdale Home of the Waste Management Phoenix Open Golf Tournament. This venue turns into it's own little city during the WMPO. I have been there when there was over 232k people in attendance, I am media, so I fortunately don't have to deal with the people because we have the inside the ropes media passes and walk with the golfers and caddies. Nice fun PGA Tour course that is accessible to the public. Tip, play it the week after the WMPO and you can played the 16th hole with the coliseum still up, but without the idiots yelling read more

Site of the annual WM Open, the most-attended golf tournament, and has the most grandstands of any tournament. Was fortunate to get to play here months before the tournament, and they already started setting up many of the grandstands. The course itself was green, lush, fairly wide, with tournament length rough that will eat your ball whole. It's so lush you wouldn't know you were in the desert, except for some waste areas that are fairly wide open, except for the occasional succulent. The facilities are also top-notch with high-end dining and an excellent locker room. read more

I've played both courses, Champions and Stadium. My personal preference for golf, is the Champions Course. That said the course was in great condition and the staff was excellent. The Bev cart girl, Lauren, was phenomenal. We saw her several times, she was friendly, sweet and efficient!! In 108 degrees, ppl BETTER be tipping your servers!!! We gave generously because we truly appreciated the fact she was out there in that heat, all day long - so we could stay hydrated!! Drink selection was good, and when she was out of something we wanted, she had it restocked on her next round!! How's that for customer service? Excellent experience at TPC. It was fun to play the iconic 16th on the stadium course (even though the bleachers were not there). Pace of play was good and the pro shops are really nice - whatever you're looking for, they have it. Put it on your bucket list. read more

The week of the tourney -Monday and Tuesday are private tourneys and Wednesday is the celebrity golf tournament. The course is pretty immaculate during the tourney and it's so much fun. I don't care what people say about it being just a party event. You can watch golf or party it's up to you. My favorite week of the year except for Spring Training. read more

We came just after the WM Phoenix opening and they were already deconstructing the temporary structures. The course was in outstanding condition! The driving range includes balls. As for the course, the rough is ROUGH. Hard to get out of. The grass is just different from any rough we've played. The grass feels deeply rooted and thick making it hard to get the ball out. It's best to stay in fairway as much as possible. The greens were in good condition. It's best to hit moderately even though looking at the grass being short assuming it would be fast. The sand is beautiful groomed and in perfect condition. I was told that the sand is similar to the sand in Augusta- beautifully crushed white quartz. It was tempting to lay on the ground to make sand angels, lol! Enjoy the infamous hole 16! Harder than it looks. We had Remington as our caddie between 4 players, and he was great and helpful. Tipping for caddie was at least $50 or more per player. We ate at the Toro restaurant for breakfast we were very pleased at their above and beyond service. Overall, great experience! read more

Played the champions course today. A couple of things that truly pissed me off. First off was the conditions. It was an absolute joke today. $100 plus for the round and Ken McDonald is better condition right now. That's not a joke. What a true embarrassment of a course. Worst conditions I have ever played at any TPC facility. A $20 round would not be worth it. They have to replace nearly half the aprons to the greens. Truly a joke. Secondly, they apparently have "dynamic pricing". Where there charge some people more than others. Well I come to find out that the pro shop charged me the higher rate and gave the lower rate to the random I was playing with. I paid $20 more than my playing partner. Brig in the shop told me that I was shit out of luck afterwards because the people before never checked who was actually playing with who. Honestly. A truly truly disappointing experience and I will actively avoid this place. If you think you are getting a "TPC experience" think again and go elsewhere. Truly awful read more

Championship course- Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Course was challenging and fun but the pins are VERY hard to see. Yellow/green matched the scenery and white flags with clouds in the sky made it near impossible to see. Especially for the color blind or challenged. The amenities out of the course need updating, water fountains need water bottle filling ability and trash cans. Landscaping in dessert areas could use more. Hole one needs shrubs or a net, the balls from the driving range litter the course making it difficulty to find your ball, recommend using a colored ball here, a sign stating that could help at the tee box or starter spiel. The pro shop lacks female options. read more

I had a mixed experience here. The atmosphere was great! Very lively, and the menu offered a great variety, but the service was disappointing. The male servers were friendly and engaging, but the female bartender serving us had little patience for me. She was noticeably more talkative with other customers, especially men and couples. I didn't see her or the female server on the betting side smile at anyone during our time there. I ordered a Caesar salad, which was fine, though I didn't love the croutons--they tasted like thick, stale bread. The lettuce was fresh and flavors overall good. I then ordered the goat cheese pizza with no mozzarella and requested anything spicy on the side, clearly stating that I don't like spicy food. When it arrived, my tongue was burning from spice. I apologized and let the bartender know. She responded seeming impatient, saying she wasn't sure what would be making it that way. Still, I appreciated that she offered to send out a regular pepperoni pizza without cheese. I also asked for a cheese shaker on the side, normally with pizza yet I was charged on my bill for an extra side because of it? The second pizza was just as spicy. I wasn't willing to let her know again given her already seeming annoyance. She never checked back, so I scraped off the sauce and ate what I could. She ignored me for the next 30-45 minutes until we asked for the check. She did not acknowledge the sauce scraped to the side as any indicator of issue. When I paid my bill, I politely mentioned that the second pizza was just as spicy in case helpful for future customers. She walked away mid-comment and disregarded me entirely. If this kind of high-energy sports bar vibe is your thing, you'll probably love it here. Most people inside were pretty focused on the screens unless they were with a group, so it's not the most social spot for mingling unless you sit at the bar. The crowd outside on the patio seemed relaxed and friendly too. They have a very spacious patio, so if you're looking for an open, laid-back setting, that might be the better spot to hang out. Absent our service experience I'd still give the spot 4 stars since so lively. read more

Pro shop staff was not as welcoming as one would've thought for this type of course, rest of the staff was very good (cart staff, beverage cart, etc..). We, as a group were disappointed in the quality/condition of the course , but obviously aware it's just about the offseason. Burned out fairways, greens were a bit slow, and the surrounds where stands for pga tour was basically dirt.. not really worth the $300 to play in late May time frame. 7:20 Tee Time 8/12 We loved this course, given the record amount of days above 100 degree in Phoenix this course was very well maintained. Minimal dead or dying areas and no crab grass to be found. Greens showed some signs of being punch but rolled great. The fairway edges were very clean and the cart path to second cut we very clean and maintained. Cart path entrances to second cut were in great shape. Bunker edges were in top tier shape and the sand was not over watered or dry for being so early in the morning. Mowing was a constant but it would have been nice to have the blower running just behind the mowers for people on the course. Weston rated course maintenance a solid 7. 50$ at the turn gets you 2 hot dogs 2 coors lights 2 waters and a Gatorade. I couldn't see paying much more than the 160$ price tag even during good weather given the other options to travel too. read more

Home of the PGA Tour's Waste Management Open, TPC Scottsdale was the primary purpose of our guys golf trip to Arizona. We decided to try the Champions course first and save Stadium for a future date; the Champions course was in immaculate condition with an incredible training facility! We were greeted upon arrival by staff who took our bags and got us set up on the range. Balls on the range are complimentary so I was ball striking quite a bit during my warm up. They have a large putting green and chipping greens with bunkers. I would recommend coming a couple hours early if you're one of those people that like to warm up and get loose. The course itself was beautiful and pace of play was great, we finished in about 4.5 hours. Beverage carts are out so tip the staff well! Loved every bit of the course, which was more forgiving than other TPC courses we have played in the past. Absolutely awesome experience, can't wait to return to take on the Stadium course next! First time here and the course did not disappoint! We arrived early and dined in at the clubhouse where the staff was friendly, attentive and courteous and the bloody mary's were on-point. We went several weeks after the WM Phoenix Open and the course was still in pristine condition. The contractors were taking down the grandstand, but still had the opportunity to imagine the energy standing on 16! Caddy service was great and made it an absolute enjoyable round. If you are in Arizona this time of year , it's truly an experience to behold to be a part of the unique-ness that only Scottsdale can bring to golf in a way that no other venue on the PGA will. I mean, you won't see scantily clad women of every age and social demographic displaying drunken behavior in the manner that you do here at this TPC. You usually get drunk men at other golf venues .. but this is a level. You may see things like dares of young-- or old running across the 18th into the water hazard, for example and pummeled by the police , ( last year 2023!); you will definitely see someone vomit from excessive use of alcohol & not knowing when to say when; you may see public urination on said green, ( yes that is illegal in Arizona); the Greenskeeper isn't an area to watch golf but more of an area to well, rage. It's loud ; it's boisterous and the craziest thing I've ever witnessed in a PGA tour. And we aren't even talking about the golf play yet .. where the 16th hole may be the hole that the pros get beer cans slung at them by the gracious, ever so mannered fans that spend hard earned money to come and be crazy. I've been to Pebble Beach ; Augusta National ; Torrey Pines and that is in the US.. it's nuts. I was in the Scorekeeper's Box this year .. I went on the first day despite not planning to. This years Rideshare shuttle / drop off is a complete disaster. It drops you at minimum a half a mile away. Then you walk to the gate. Coming out if you ask for directions, the purple shirt PRO TE guy , ( Tuesday) was in cahoots w the taxi drivers-- & tried directing people away from the signage! He said it was wrong! order your Uber/Lyft on your shuttle to LOT/R because I waited on day 1 & it took 25 min for a Uber. I live in the area too! If you park closer Westworld the shuttle from there is easier - but don't do that & embide.. tons of cops will get you , as they should. Day 2/ Wednesday the ProAm Celebrity round canceled due to the soggy green & that is no blame. This is AZ, not the UK! Our suite was getting soggy too. Not ideal conditions but the suite workers were great ; good food and clean restrooms within the suite area .. the downfall is the rideshare pick up / drop off .. total nightmare. read more

Truly a special experience. I loved this golf course. Practice area was great, everything you need to get warmed up. Unfortunately they were doing construction on their restaurant so only the outside bar at the turn was open for food. Food wasn't bad. The course is in very good shape and has a really fun layout. Lots of opportunities to score but some very difficult holes mixed in. The back nine is one of the best back nines I've played. Lots a water and risk reward shots. I can't wait to play this course again. The champions course was fun too but the stadium course is on a different level. Price is steep but you have to check this one off your list. read more

Had the opportunity to play TPC Scottsdale in mid April. I had played here before but it had been 20 years. Course was in great condition. The service was excellent. Had a great caddie who was very knowledgeable and helpful, but he contributed to our slow pace of play to start. Probably not a great idea to put a twosome behind a half a dozen groups in a company event. Only thing keeping this from a five star review is that the caddie attempted to take advantage of us at the end of the round regarding the tip that we were going to give him on top of the caddie fee our company had already paid. It was very uncomfortable. The clubhouse staff handled it very well and helped resolve the situation. Unfortunately it was a rough way to end a beautiful day on a great course. If you have the opportunity give TPC Scottsdale a try. It is challenging and fun. read more

Played the Stadium course, great course and tough day with wind blowing 25mph Fore Caddy was great, Ethan. Other service providers on the premises were terrible. Could not have been worse. Arrogant.....as if you're doing them a favor by being there Bag drop area, 5 attendants watched me take two bags from there to the car and didn't offer any assistance. Told them which of the other bags were ours and they just pointed at them and I came back and picked them up. Still no help. There are two TPC courses in Scottsdale, Arizona. I played the stadium course where the PGA plays in March. The PGA tournament was called the Phoenix Open, but it is now called the Waste Management. This is another course you want to add to your bucket list. The service is impeccable once you arrive. Staff is ready to help at the bag drop. Friendly people at the pro shop. This course does require a caddie. This was my first time having a caddie, and now I am spoiled. The caddie not only holds your clubs when you putt, but he helps spot your golf shots. The best part is that he does help you with the breaks on the greens. We played in November, so the course is already setting up the stands for the tournament in March. Definitely relish the infamous hole 16 where Tiger Woods hit his hole in one back in 1999. The stands are immense. You can just imagine how many golf fans are in the stands. Also, they have a marker where the fans helped move the huge boulder so Tiger could hit his shot on hole 13. read more

This review is for the Champions Course, good price for what you get! Out of all the courses we played in the Arizona area, this was the best kept, with amazing greens and scenery to take in. Their carts were also some of the best I've seen, distance tracking to the hole, usb charging to name some features. From getting there, the cart guys loaded our bags, pulled the cart around to the side of the bar to ready it, and cleaned the clubs after the round was done. Nice touch! Good variety of holes with some neat challenges out there! Every hole seemed to have a great view, so we weren't disappointed at all. Would love to come back for the Stadium Course but it also comes at a hefty price! read more

Amazing golf courses. Pristine conditions. Excellent services. The ice and water machines in the course keep the golfers cool and hydrated. The only negative is this time of the year they've started building the grandstands for the Waste Management Open in February. The crowds are reasonable the vibe is festive and the 16th hole is something that everyone should experience golf fan or not. Great courses. Enjoyed the practice facility at Champions course which is much quieter and more reasonably priced.

Personally I only come to TPC for waste management or to enjoy dinner at the grill. I haven't been lucky enough to play here BUT my husband has. He has played here about 8 times now. He has played on both the stadium and champions course. He enjoys playing on stadium more he says the environment and its more forgiving than playing over at the champions course. So I can vouch for the food here. The appetizers are amazing all of them. I really enjoy the skirt steak with the yucca fries.. They can pretty much make anything into a kids meal my daughter usually gets mac & cheese our son just get a cheeseburger pretty basic with them. My husband gets the pork chop. I enjoyed the chocolate crunch dessert they have ice cream from Sweet Republic which is one of my favorite ice cream shops in the valley!!!!! Come here for golf come for the waste management come for the food it is an amazing experience read more
