Awesome course and worth checking out. Will definitely be coming back! Did a solo round today, and it was awesome. Staff was great! They provide you with water bottles and they have a cooler stationed around hole 7 with more water bottles. That's also where the bathrooms are located. All par 3s but those greens are tough which obviously makes the game more challenging but makes it fun too. Some water involved so be ready to lose a ball or 2 haha. They do a summer pass (fyi for next year!) and I heard they might be doing a fall one so be on the lookout for that in September. You won't regret playing here!

Great people. Great service. Great time. Even though this is a short course don't underestimate, it's challenging! Beautifully maintained. Amazing backdrop of Camelback mountain.

A great fun course! Great for practicing your short game. Perfect for the hotter summer days because you don't wear yourself out. The holes are appropriately challenging. Distances are spot on. Staff are always nice. Beautiful views of Camelback Mountain. Weakness: the water ponds are drying out and filled with sludge, so it smells on a few holes (like 3 holes).

The most expensive round of golf I've ever played, but probably because we are tourists and it is a really fancy upscale course. $96 for executive course round, $35 for Ping rental clubs and $5 cart fee. It doesn't even seem like a golf course when you pull up, it looks Iike a modern fancy hotel with glass and steel. You can tell the ballers go here because we saw a lot of Teslas, Benzs, Ferrari, even a convertible Bentley. I felt kinda ghetto rolling up in our dirty Mazda SUV with road kill stuck in the grill after driving 1500+ miles. However, we weren't treated ghetto, from check in to finish it was 1st class all the way baby. To me, it was hot as hell at noon but the locals told us it was a cool day to them! Note, in Arizona the hottest time of day is 4pm. I tried to find shade at each hole and drank a gallon of water probably. Despite the heat, the greens and fairways were immaculate. No dried bald hard spots anywhere. Granted much of it had xeriscape but whatever grass was there was beautiful PGA quality. Heaven to golf on. And the views...omg I've seen it on TV with the Camel Back mountain in the background, but it is a sight to behold. The water hazards were equally pretty too. Absolute perfection. As far as the course, well I didn't keep score as I haven't been golfing much this year. I wanted to just enjoy the experience. But I'd say for a Par 3, the holes aren't that close and the greens were challenging. Lots of sand traps strategically placed. Due to the desert landscaping, if you veered off the fairway you'd basically be in sand/gravel. It's also easy to hit houses which surround the entire course. I used a driver a few times, from the back tee. There was a bonus putting hole before 18. There are a lot of golf courses in Scottsdale to play but I wanted the views and experience from this course which didn't disappoint. Highly recommend.

If you want a quick, easy course in a beautiful setting, this is your place! 18 holes, par 3's, great service, all with a view! They have cart and club rental, in case you are traveling & Rusty's (the patio restaurant) has some great snacks/lunch

The course was pretty cheesy. Lots of dirt & gravel to negotiate. Hard to find. We won't go there again.

Even though I wasn't there as a member, I immediately understood why the club has such a strong reputation in Scottsdale. Everything--from the grounds to the atmosphere to the service--felt polished, intentional, and quietly elegant. The moment I arrived, I was struck by how beautifully the club blends into its surroundings. The views of Camelback Mountain create a backdrop that feels almost cinematic, and the landscaping is immaculate without feeling overly manicured. There's a sense of calm that settles in as soon as you step onto the property, the kind of calm that makes you want to slow down and take it all in. The clubhouse itself has a classic, understated charm. It's not flashy; instead, it leans into warm tones, natural textures, and a layout that feels both spacious and intimate. It's the kind of place where you can imagine generations of families gathering, celebrating, and returning year after year. What stood out to me most was how welcoming the dining spaces felt. Even as a guest, I never felt out of place. The staff were gracious, attentive, and genuinely warm--professional without being stiff. There's a rhythm to the service that makes everything feel seamless. The dining room has that perfect balance of sophistication and comfort. Large windows let in plenty of natural light, and the views of the course add a serene backdrop to the meal. It's the kind of setting that elevates even a simple lunch. I didn't play a round, but even just walking near the course gave me a sense of how meticulously maintained it is. The greens looked pristine, the fairways lush, and the overall layout seemed both challenging and scenic. You can tell the club takes pride in its course, and it shows.

The level of care, familiarity, and genuine warmth the staff shows is something you simply can't fake. They greeted members by name, every member... and what impressed me even more was how they extended that same attentiveness to guests. As someone visiting with members, I felt welcomed, seen, and treated with the same level of respect as their long time regulars. Our server was an absolute joy. Gracious, informed, and effortlessly charming. Every question we asked was answered in detail, and her suggestions ended up being exactly what we didn't know we needed. We started with the shrimp cocktail, beautifully presented on a chilled plate with perfectly poached shrimp arranged over cucumbers. The shrimp were sweet and fresh, and paired with a tangy, spicy house made cocktail sauce that had just the right kick. A simple appetizer, but done exactly right and matched perfectly with my martini (or 2). For entrées, our table ordered a mix, and every dish was consistent, well-prepared, and beautifully plated: Salmon - My dish was the salmon, cooked to that perfect point where it's still moist and buttery inside with a crisp, lightly seasoned exterior. It came atop a delicate bed of seasonal vegetables, and the accompanying gorgonzola butter added brightness without overpowering the fish. Ribeye Steaks (three at the table) - Thick-cut, well-marbled cooked precisely to temperature. Each steak had a gorgeous sear that locked in every bit of flavor, and the richness of the meat paired flawlessly with their velvety mashed potatoes and they all got the sweet potato dish. The guys seem to always get this. Another Fish Entrée - The other seafood dish (the local white fish special) was tender and flaky with a lemon caper butter sauce that gave it a rich finish. It seemed light and satisfying from what I could tell. What stood out most was the consistency. My dining companions, who frequent the club, said every visit is this good and based on my experience, I believe it. The food, service, and atmosphere came together to create a classic country club dining experience elevated by the warmth and familiarity of a team that clearly cares. Overall, dining here felt like slipping into a place where hospitality still means something, where the staff remembers your face, your preferences, and genuinely wants you to enjoy your time. As a guest, I couldn't have been more impressed. If you ever get the chance to dine at the Arizona Country Club, don't hesitate. It's a truly special experience.

We moved to North Scottsdale in late 2020... an important step in our long term retirement plan…read more Having lived in Arizona in the past, and given our children attended the University of Arizona, we were incredibly confident that the Desert was the dream destination for our family. We were incredibly excited about the lifestyle... i.e. the weather and abundant sunshine, the hiking / golfing/ outdoors sports, the art scene, amazing restaurants, spa experiences, the wildlife, and the inviting culture that fosters new connections and wonderful friendships. The cherry on top however has been our experience at Troon Country Club (TCC)! Shortly after arriving in Scottsdale, we began meeting neighbors who were members of TCC. They were so effusive in their praise of the club: the members, the culture, the incredibly beautiful and challenging (but fair) golf course, the racquet sports, the social scene, on and on! We quickly realized we needed to learn more about this special place. Fast forward 3 years, and TCC has become an essential and incredible element of our lives here in North Scottsdale. The golf experience is incredible! Having experienced so many of the best golf destinations around the country (and globe), we pinch ourselves daily that we get to enjoy this wonderful Tom Weiskopf designed gem. I can't imagine ever getting bored with this challenging track. Beyond Golf, our club has very modern facilities for Tennis, Pickle Ball, Bocce, Gym/Fitness/Wellness, and Swimming (along with a great fitness training and physical therapy staff). Everything you need to stay active, healthy, and fully engaged. The social scene at Troon CC is also bustling and always evolving. A great culinary set up with two great restaurants and fun events... including live music. A fun list of activities including wine tasting, card games, local group excursions, and celebrations of holidays. Ofcourse, any country club is only as good as its members, and yes... it's team! We are incredibly fortunate to have a great team at TCC... across the board. They are very professional, super engaging, and committed to taking great care of our members. Our experiences day in/day out are highly personalized, efficient, and simply nice. Having shared all of these great attributes, I'm most grateful for our TCC community and family. We're incredibly fortuante to have attracted great people! Authentically friendly, grounded / humble, fun, and interesting... with a nice diverse mix of backgrounds/experiences. Our club also has a deep commitment to philanthropy and caring for our team and community. After four years in the Valley, our best friendships have been developed at our club. :-)). I could go on and on, but hopefully you can feel my passion and joy in being a member of this special club and community.
