Seven years ago, we got the top-of-the-line train AC units for our home. We signed maintenance agreements and I've had it for the whole time and cancel last year because of their inability to come out and service the units on time. Well, they kept delaying it and the AC unit in the main Rooms stop working because of water back up in the condensation tube. They could not come out right away, so I called another service to do so they came out that night. A month or so later I hired that same company to do the routine maintenance and they found that there was a leak in the evaporator coil. Since I bought the unit from Pinnelas, I agreed to have them come out and repair the unit. They sent a young man and an older gentleman, and the young man who was new did the work while the older gentleman stayed down in the garage and yelled up to him on what to do. The price was over $2700. But when they did not show up on the Saturday that they were supposed to they came the following Monday and offered a 10% discount on the work. The next day my wife was getting ready to leave to go to the airport and looked up in the ceiling, and there was a large wet spot. Turns out their new recruit did not connect something properly and water leaked all over the floor of the attic and then ultimately put a large spot in our kitchen . They did come out that day and acknowledge that it was their problem and they took pictures and said they would contact us to have a contractor come and paint the ceiling when dry. They were supposed to call us last Friday to have a contractor come out. I never did. They didn't call Monday and I called them and ask them what the problem was. They did not call Tuesday and finally on Wednesday a customer service rep called and said they would have to get approval to do so. my wife explained to them that Christian already approved it and only then did she acknowledged that OK we have a painter. Come out and appraise the job. First I would like to say that the train units that I purchased have continuously let us down. Every time Pinnelas comes out they find something else wrong. We've spent thousands of dollars on top of the warranty to have various things done including surge protectors, which cost well over $1000. I would suggest shopping around if you are looking for a quality air conditioner replacement. The company that came out in their place was called apostle I understand there may be staffing issues and the company bought out the original company and I really don't know who's in charge there anymore. I would definitely shop around if you were looking for a replacement AC unit or maintenance. read more

Almost the exact same experience as Mike M's review below. Christian the manager is an outright liar. Do not trust him Get EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING from this company in writing. I had 2 new units installed. One unit died 1 month after install. Instead of replacing it they took random used pieces and parts to get it running. ever since the thing sounds like a jet engine. Christian said if you want it replaced you have to call Trane. We won't do it. Awesome customer service there. Imagine buying a new car, it dies after a month and the dealer says call the manufacturer. Ridiculous! The other unit they forgot to put an overflow switch on and the thing destroyed my ceiling with overflow water. I'm still awaiting a repair. And that's after dozens and dozens of calls and the whole time them acknowledging its their fault. These units have had too many issues to list. I have the maintenance contract for 1 more year (not that it does any good) then I'm finding a reliable an honest company. This one is a joke read more

I got a new HVAC system installed today(7/15/2019) by Zack and Larry. They arrived on time, were courteous and professional. They slaved away in my hot garage for hours and the end result is my house is once again cool and comfortable. They were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. They were helpful in helping me understand the new system since my prior system was 20 years old; I now have this fancy, high tech thermostat that they walked me through. The whole process from scheduling an appointment for an estimate, to going over my options, to scheduling an installation was all very fast and efficient. They were actually ready to install the day after I accepted the estimate; I was the one who had to delay it a few days. In the end, I'm glad I made the call and would recommend their services to any of my fellow Pinellas County residents seeking AC service. Ryan was a superior sales person who came to my home and respected my time and gave me a very competitive price and I would have chosen to use thuis company based solely on his professional manner but the next person on my list basically just told me he could fix my existing unit for thousands less than what 2 completely separate companies had quoted so I have a functioning AC hopefully for the next few years. But when I am ready to have a new system installed I will absolutely call Pinellas Comfort solutions and have Ryan give me a new quote! read more

Would NOT recommend to anyone. Once this company was bought out they lost every ounce of customer service that they had. I was charged an additional almost $5,000 which I made them aware of immediately we are not at almost 10 days later and I have yet to receive any sort of credit back. I have called numerous times trying to speak with someone other than there generic message taking service and have not gotten a call back. The "repairs" the installers did on my attic access are extremely sub par and with gaps and uneven crooked molding. When I asked him if I just needed to call to get an appointment set up with their handy man to put it back to normal he looked at me like I was crazy for not thinking that his work was exquisite. When I used them before as PCS the installers and techs were great and walked me through the new thermostat, getting it all set up with the wifi - these guys were already packed up and leaving when I asked if there were any instructions he came back in and literally just opened the instruction book and said here this page, I don't know I've never set one of these kind up. Over-all it has been TERRIBLE dealing with this company. I have sat on hold so much in the last 2 weeks just trying to speak with someone who actually works for this company. GO ANYWHERE ELSE - Do NOT do business with them. read more

Had them do a service today and they were very nice, I actually had a backup in my line and they cleared it and also showed me how if it were to happen again, I feel like I learned a lot and the guy was super nice overall great experience would definitely recommend! 2 weeks ago, we had Ben come out to see why our system shut down, its only 4 years old. He stated the condensation line from air handler to the outside clogged which shuts the air off. He came out and fixed it, at least we thought he did. We paid an additional cost for extended maintenance. Today, 2 weeks from today (July 1) the ac shut down again. My husband went up in the attic and unclogged the system which he shouldn't have had to do in 2 weeks if Ben the technician did his job right. I also asked Ben, his first visit to give me the manual for the thermostat so we can trouble shoot the system. He gives me the "installation guide" which had nothing to do with trouble shooting. We placed a service call this morning and Ben tells us it could be from dust from the walls????? My neighbor's ac runs 24x7 and he never has a problem and they are snowbirds. We hardly use our ac and our lines should not clog in 2 weeks. We also had to replace the coils last year. Also, I had recommended PCS to several neighbors who have hired them and I am sorry to have done so. PCS wanted to charge for today's call even though they did not fix our system 2 weeks ago to our satisfaction. read more

Had my install in November and I am so glad I went with this company. They did amazing work and were very thorough. Even the county inspector told me they do excellent work. The guys that came were friendly and helpful. They cleaned up after themselves and taught me how to use my new system. Great company and service-oriented staff. Located company to service home heat pump via Trane website. Company responded to service request email within one hour with prompt appointment. Service Technician Zack called when enroute. Arrived and solved problem in minimum time. Took time to "educate" me. Had all required repair parts on truck. Took time to check entire system. Arranged for visit the next day by knowledgeable "Comfort Specialist" Ryan, also a great company representative, who inspected home and existing system and provided estimates for a variety of potential replacement systems. The owner of the company crawled into our attic space to survey the damage to our ducts. Our attic is a scuttle space that means if you work in this space you have to GI Joe belly crawl. Tom the tech came prepared and worked non stop until the work was complete. This organization was very professional from top to bottom. The cost matched the obstacles and how hard the work was.
