Festival season is in full swing in Florida and this past weekend was the 23rd year of the annual…read morecraft festival in Stuart which is held over two days from 10 AM until 5 PM in historic downtown Stuart. The street is shut down so crafters and artists can sell their wares. Admission to the festival is free. There were many tents selling clothes, jewelry, art, ceramics, food, plants, accessories, and so much more. You can also shop and dine at all of the businesses lining the street and there was live music by the water. Parking was free and a breeze and Kiwanis Park. There are also many other free lots in the downtown area. Stuart is one of my favorite cities because it is so quaint and picturesque. They were the perfect hosts for a such a family friendly festival.

We were able to park in the municipal lot so that worked for us. Some of these stores produce their merchandise by residents and the restaurants also supply farms with fishing local in order to maintain the freshness in the food that they offer. This is a busy downtown and their is live entertainment all year at the Lyric Theatre, the waterfront Riverwalk Stage. Arts and crafts festivals and special events all year long. While we were here, we listened to live music, looked at crafts at a festival and admired the very interesting buildings all about town. I was glad I walked around here!

We found Stilt Circus through a friend who told us that they show up to drive-by birthday parties. Meaning, the kids drive-by in their car and Stilt Circus hands out little gift bags or provides a photo opportunity if kids want it. We provided the goody bags, they provided the fun! They were amazing from the moment I called until the time they left the drive-by. The best part of all was when they walked down my neighborhood street toward my house right before the drive-by. The neighbors went crazy! Don't hesitate to call them. They will make any drive by birthday special.

We made friends with one of the family members of the ranch and really enjoyed ourselves here. When we walked up we were immediately greeted and everyone (besides the popcorn lady) was super friendly! I picked up some delicious smoked fish dip from one of the vendors. We took some great photos with Santa and walked around outside a little to see some of the ranch. It was dark while we were there but we definitely want to come back for a visit during the day. My wife was really impressed with the grounds and mentioned that she'd love to have a party here one day. It's typically an event venue with a bar and lots of great spots for photos. I live the at-home country feel of this farm and being that we live 5 mins down the road, we will most definitely be keeping this spot in mind for future events!
