Thankfully the dance arena was held at the Equestrian Center on the grounds, protecting us from the wind, rain, and some cold. I'm full sun it can get hot under there. There vendors were pretty good with a mix of something from every part of the country, even some from Central and South America. The food vendors were just as eclectic: a bakery/pizza truck with really good smoothies, a bbq food truck, fried seafood stand, and some traditional powwow foods such as frybread, Indian tacos, and venison sandwiches. The dancing was great. It's always a good powwow whenever you have good drums come in and especially if you're friends with them :) There were enough people in each dance category to exhibition their style of dance. The best part of the entire weekend was bringing my boyfriend and introducing him to everyone. They embraced him quickly and became part of our family. If you're ever in the area the 3rd weekend in March definitely check it out! I might be there ;)

The Stadium is beautiful, the parking is easy and the tickets are fairly cheap. $14 for General Admission and we sat very close to Home Plate. They had a Non Alcoholic Beer (NAB) for me! Two seasons ago they didn't. Ultra Zero. Very cold and very good. We split Chicken Fingers, French Fries and a Pretzel. All good. The fries (which I've been avoiding in 2026) were awesome! The Staff is very friendly. The usher pointed me to a section he thought would be comfortable for me. I was using my cane so the row he pointed out was only 1 step down. The seat was also very wide (remember - I'm a big boy), so I was very comfortable. The downside. The people. The woman behind us - sitting in the handicap seats - kept spraying something that had a chemically citrus smell. My wife thinks it was hand sanitizer. She kept spraying every half inning or so! Awful!!! Plus, she had a wet-sounding cough and wasn't making any effort to cover. We moved. The section we hit had much narrower seats. Too tight. We moved. Finally, decided to sit in 2 empty handicap seats. Perfect. Right? No. The kids in our section were out of control and of course the parents were oblivious. Part is to blame on the lack of parenting, but part on the team itself. They are constantly throwing balls to the kids. It became a feeding frenzy!!! Kids running, jumping, climbing, tackling one another to get a ball. Then kids who didn't get a ball start crying. Then they're throwing the balls, and their gloves, and hats - everywhere. At one point, we're surrounded by kids, practically sitting on top of us. Sitting on the handrail in front of me blocking my view. Ugh. It was so out of control it was actually funny. After the game, the SLM had a ceremony to honor kids with brain cancer. They brought out families and showed a touching video about a poor young girl who lost her battle to cancer. It was touching and the intention was good, but it was done so poorly. They had lanterns and were going to "light up the sky." No, it was just poorly lit balls the size of cantaloupe that just sat on the outfield. I'm a two time cancer survivor myself, but I found the ceremony poorly planned and poorly executed. And way too long! Then they had fireworks - the reason we stayed. They were awesome!!!!! That's it. We'll go back (I love baseball) but on a weeknight with hopefully less kiddies.

We had 2 10-year olds and the rest adults and we all enjoyed it! It was immersive with great visual and easy-to-see boundaries so you don't run into the walls. The space is in a warehouse and doesn't look like much, but once the headsets go on the walls disappear and you slide easily from one reality to the next. We did several team-shooting adventures, Roboclaw and Planet X and then Cops and Robbers all on an hour. We highly recommend as they have a choose-your-own adventure with many options of collaborating or versus modes - with and without puzzles and even laser tag. We will definitely be back

I'm still hoping that one day we'll get a fancier theater around here to make it feel more worth it. Apparently, this theater was renovated about three years ago, and the seats are now recliners--which was a nice surprise. I got there a little earlier than my friends and ended up chatting with the staff since it was around 9:30 at night and very quiet. They mentioned the 7 PM showing is usually the busiest. When you first walk in, there's a bar in the middle that isn't super noticeable until you walk around the side. That said... $10 a glass for Josh rosé? Come on. The bottle itself costs about $10 (seriously--Google it). If it were closer to $5, I definitely would've had at least one glass. There wasn't anyone really checking tickets when we walked into the theater. The theater itself was a good size, and I was genuinely impressed with the reclining seats. The movie did skip a couple of times at the beginning, which was frustrating and a bit annoying. That aside, all of us ladies had a great time overall. It was a fun girls' night out, and we enjoyed the movie.

They also have a rewards card/App . Which I would highly recommend to anyone. you can't go wrong. Got to get those extras. Any way you can with the price of life today. The theater itself was really really nice. The chairs were very well spaced apart and a little newer than what I'm used to in New York. Reclining seats adjustable headrest. Cupholder of of course. We saw "send help" with which was OK movie. If I Paid a New York price to see it. I probably wouldn't give it such a good rating. that's just my logic . I would definitely come back to this movie theater and I would definitely sign up for the reward card/app. and I would definitely recommend you coming to this theater. I think last night they had eight different movies playing.

The Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens are next door. The Port St. Lucie Historical Society is now operating out of two historic houses have been moved to the property, the Peacock House, built in 1917, and the Peacock Lodge, built in 1952. The Peacock House was owned by Oliver L. Peacock Sr. and his namesake son, known as Sonny. They are among the founding fathers credited with the creation of Port St. Lucie. The Peacock family owned a 4,614-acre ranch in St. Lucie West. In 1968 the house was moved to the family's ranch on Glades Cut Off Road in Port St. Lucie and placed next to the hunting lodge that was built on the property in 1952. By 2006 the Peacock house was abandoned and in 2015 the Hunting Lodge was being used for storage. The city was about to demolish the buildings when the historical society stepped in and had them moved to their current location. In 2019 both buildings were given new foundations, roofs, and fresh coats of paint. In 2022 the Port St. Lucie Historical Society began renovations on the hunting lodge to turn it into a town museum. The Peacock Lodge has two rooms of exhibits on the history of Port St. Lucie, a meeting room, and a kitchen. I have been watching the restoration progress on these buildings over the past 5 years and it was wonderful to step inside the hunting lodge and see how beautifully it has been restored. There is no admission fee to visit but there is a donation box if you can contribute. I was even gifted a copy of "Port St. Lucie at 50: A City for All People" History Book written by by Nina Baranski and produced by the Port St. Lucie Historical Society. The PSL is hosting a dinner on October 16 at the Santa Lucia River Club. Tickets are available online. If you visit Pioneer Park or the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens stop by the new museum and support the Port St. Lucie Historical Society.

I really enjoyed getting to see the animal show put on by the Treasure Coast Wildlife Center which takes in injured wildlife with the hope of rehabilitating and releasing. This is a great event for the whole family. As the state park system says, come out and see the real Florida!
