I'm pretty sure this was my first time here. It's not like there are many movie theater options in this area, so I was honestly a little nervous after reading the reviews. I'm still hoping that one day we'll get a fancier theater around here to make it feel more worth it. Apparently, this theater was renovated about three years ago, and the seats are now recliners--which was a nice surprise. I got there a little earlier than my friends and ended up chatting with the staff since it was around 9:30 at night and very quiet. They mentioned the 7 PM showing is usually the busiest. When you first walk in, there's a bar in the middle that isn't super noticeable until you walk around the side. That said... $10 a glass for Josh rosé? Come on. The bottle itself costs about $10 (seriously--Google it). If it were closer to $5, I definitely would've had at least one glass. There wasn't anyone really checking tickets when we walked into the theater. The theater itself was a good size, and I was genuinely impressed with the reclining seats. The movie did skip a couple of times at the beginning, which was frustrating and a bit annoying. That aside, all of us ladies had a great time overall. wow, what a beautiful theater. Very spacious and well-thought-out design. Serve yourself candy popcorn, and drinks. Lots to choose from! . Self service pay counters like at the supermarket. One machine for cash only. Employees scattered about to help. Very nice manager. two adult tickets I believe was $12.50. More than fair but I think it was discounted Tuesday. They also have a rewards card/App . Which I would highly recommend to anyone. you can't go wrong. Got to get those extras. Any way you can with the price of life today. The theater itself was really really nice. The chairs were very well spaced apart and a little newer than what I'm used to in New York. Reclining seats adjustable headrest. Cupholder of of course. We saw "send help" with which was OK movie. If I Paid a New York price to see it. I probably wouldn't give it such a good rating. that's just my logic . I would definitely come back to this movie theater and I would definitely sign up for the reward card/app. and I would definitely recommend you coming to this theater. My wife and I decided to catch a midday movie (1:45) at this Theatre. Movie was terrific. There was a family of social misfits behind us. One of the family brought a baby to the movie that cried for 10-15 minutes. They also received phone calls and texts, answering out loud. They received these calls and or messages with the flasher on. They left theatre a pig stye. We live in Stuart but usually go PB Gardens to the movies. Hopefully after reading this some sort of security can at least keep people from having their movie day disrupted. read more

Regency is now EPIC in Stuart I was very happy with the remodel. The reclining chairs are comfortable and the screens and sound system are really good. This theater has been taken over by Epic Theatres and we have to say it is a "brand new theater!" Superb new look, fantastic recliner chairs and a wonderful staff. They are now our first choice for going to the movies. We couldn't be more happy with the venue. We spoke to the manager and thanked him and his staff for such a great experience. I used to frequent this local theater every week and loved the "small-town" feel of it. I loved the theater workers asking how I enjoyed the movie and a smile and their pleasant "please come back again" comments. It did not matter to me if they had stadium seating at all, and yeah, it was outdated but it had charm and I felt welcome and wanted. However, since corporate america has taken over, I will no longer frequent this theater again. When a business has a kiosk for placing orders and taking payment they have lost me forever. I boycott anyone who insists I use a kiosk - quest, labcorp, mcdonald's, cleveland clinic...I want a human being welcoming me, not some filthy kiosk that everyone's puts their hands on. So long movies', I will watch from home. read more

Great theater. I was a little leery due to the previous reviews but evidently it was recently renovated. Wow very nice we had just moved to okeechobee from south Florida so we were used to the luxury type theaters down south, I know I am bougie lol. So we decided to take a trip to the coast to give this place a try and was well worth it. It doesn't have food service but nice luxury seating with foot and head rest that are super comfortable along with a great sound system. read more

This theater is lacking the movie experience. Upon entering it was dark, there were no movie posters, no one took your ticket, there was a tiny candy counter...what the fuck? It looks like it was closed. Maybe it should be. Horrible. Give it up. read more

I'm giving this theater a 4 for value and friendly customer service staff! Tuesdays are $5 movies and you can't beat that! Five of us saw Thor Love and Thunder for what two tickets would have cost us at any other theater. Popcorn and drink refills are free if you get a large which was not obscenely overpriced like many theaters. The concessions were all reasonable. Bathrooms were very clean. There was popcorn and trash on the floor in the theater at 9pm, but there was a guy there sweeping up. And sadly most patrons left their trash when the movie ended. We stayed for both the end credit scenes that Marvel films feature; only two other people also stayed out of maybe 35 total people. It would be nice if folks cleaned up a bit after themselves. The movie did start a couple minutes late, 15 minutes late, well that's when the previews began. Someone went to ask them to start it but was told the manager was in the rest room. Not a big deal because there were only one or two previews, not 35 minutes worth of previews as happening at the local Imax last week. The lights didn't dim immediately for the main feature, I thought the beginning of the film was just another trailer. Minor issues, but there was flickering of the brightness on screen too. It didn't ruin the movie, but we all noticed and wished it hadn't happened. All that said, we will be back as the customer service was the best I've had at a theater in years!!! read more

Brought the kids to see the Paw Patrol movie after reading other stellar reviews for this theater. This locally owned theater is in a great location, easy access parking, and very very clean. Excellent customer service and the staff went above and beyond to give us the best experience. The food was very fresh even given it was very slow and not many people. Bathrooms were clean, comfortable controlled temperature and the seats in the theater were comfy as well. The fact that they offer a matinee at the lower price is excellent when you have a large group of kids. We've already purchased upcoming movie tickets for movies coming out in the next few weeks. A great way to spend some family time for a few hours while it's raining outside. Excited to come back for our next movie. I'm in town on business and decided to catch a movie on a Sunday morning. I read reviews and saw some negative ones. I don't get it. The place is small, but this is a small town. It wasn't crowded and I didn't wait long in line. And it was only 7 dollars to get in. Way cheaper than where I live. The concession line went quick also. The place was clean, including the restroom. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 was due to the fact they left the lights on for the first 10 minutes of the movie which was a little annoying. I would return if in town again. read more

Along time ago in a galaxy far far away this was a good movie theater for the money. It's always been kind of dirty and uncomfortable with a lot of rude people only because it was cheap to go too. Now the price of tickets has gone up! buying popcorn and sodas and candy has gone up! all of it has gone up a lot and you're still dealing with the same kind of people and dirtiness. For the extra money it's worth going to Jupiter that's where I go now I won't go back there until they Lower the prices or make some seriously needed improvements. read more

I actually really enjoy going to this theater. I am a loyal Regal fan and have the reward card so it sometimes bums me out when I come to Regency since they dont have one. That being said, I think the theaters are fine, the seats are more comfortable, the location is better (I live in Palm City), and the hassle is wayyyyyyy less (not located in a busy mall). A few tips? Pay by card and just go inside the theater to the far right wall -- there are ticket machines there, so no waiting in line. Also, pay attention at the concessions.. Its a big circle and everyone gathers in two lines near the doors -- the other side normally has a much shorter, if any at all, line. Wish they had more movies, but I'd rather deal with that than a bunch of smoking annoying tweens at Jensen mall ;) read more

I go here often.. it is a cheap, no frills theatre. For a matinee I get my ticket, small popcorn and a medium drink for a total of $13.00. This is less than a ticket for the luxury theatres in the area. You don't get reclining seats, you get loud push bars on the doors that you hear every time someone enters or exits. Again, it is no frills and I will put up with that just to escape for a few hours on the cheap.... read more

Despite my tip about the smell, I did enjoy coming here. Tickets were much more reasonable, a couple of dollars cheaper than an AMC type theater would charge. Same goes for the concessions. The only drawback is the flat theater. I've totally been spoiled by stadium seating becoming the norm. read more

Since I moved to Martin County (15 years), I have been attending movies at the Regency (now Epic Theatre). The price is right and it is closer to home. Some of it has been upgraded and I think the new owners plan to improve the present seating, etc. If the prices increase and improvements begin, since the theater has been sold, people will complain, but for those of you who feel, refurbishment is needed, there should be no complaints!! Screens and theaters are very small, so arrive early or don't come at all, as there are few good seats. Self serve ticket kiosks have been broken (off and on) for a long time. Theatre 6 has an absurdly loud A/C unit that pops on and off during the movie. Management knows all about it, appears to have no interest in fixing that either. The ice cream shop next door sells 2-for-1 with your ticket stub. Nice cooperation among neighboring shops. read more

Time to update your theatre- it was disgusting- my feet were glued to the floor, the floor was dirty, sticky and gross.

Went to see Solo:Star Wars in 3D. The very worst picture I have ever seen. So dark and dim you could barely make out the characters and really hard to even see what was going on. After addressing the problem to the manager, even though previous complaints had been made, she offered no refund or any other type of compensation other than a lame apology. we went to the movies last night at regency 8/epic Stuart, FL. it was an older movie, but after 7 months of nothing as we all know nothing! it was a pleasure to be able to get out and go do something. yes i am one of those people that you must stay home and hide. it is set up social distance in the theater, no one back of you or in front of you. blocked off. when leaving the young lady was going in with the sanitizer machine and broom. i felt completely safe the whole time, from entry to leaving the theater. i really enjoyed the movie. also the price was right ! thank you regency 8 / epic !!!! i hope you can hang in there for us movie goers! read more

Clean. Casual. Not in a Mall. Old School. It is old Stuart and I love it. I did not give it a five star because I have been to "over the top" cinema complexes that are a wonder. This is as good as it gets when you want an honest neighborhood small town experience. read more

Regency Cinema may be small, but it certainly does deliver its movie-going experience. Size, of course, doesn't matter, because you go to a theatre to watch movies, not judge if it's too small or not big enough. The popcorn and other snacks are great and the drinks taste fresh. What's best about it is that since it's a smaller company than AMC or Regal, there will be less people, and more importantly more seats. If anyone is craving for nice theatre experience, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out. read more

If I could give the theater less than one star, I would, This place is awful. The seats are OLD and uncomfortable, the theater smells, and the picture isn't as crisp and clear as it should be. I love Regency 8. It is a no frills movie theater. Love the fact that we still have a "small home town" type of movie theater. It is affordable. The restrooms have been renovated and I appreciate that they have cheaper matinees and discounts for early showings. This is NO FRILLS for a reason. So don't expect recliner seats, and larger than life screens. It is an older movie theater. You can always to the mall and pay $14-$19 for your ticket if you are looking for that kind of experience. We are quite content with being able to afford to see a movie. Thank you Regency 8! read more

The place is a crap hole, but we always go because of the cheap ticket and concession prices. Seems they have new ownership and it's already a nightmare. Cash only tonight, at the ticket window and concessions. ATM wasn't working as well. Then we find out they raised their prices about 35%. I'd rather go to a good theater and spend the money. Everyone in the theater was taking about the prices. Congrats we won't be back to a place we frequent. Apparently they forgot how to make popcorn as well as everyone is complaining about it being salty. Now we are hearing an annoying beeping noise, hopefully that stops before the movie starts. read more

Why the increase in tickets and concession? Nothing has changed to upgrade the theater. I used to get the senior combo for a popcorn and drink for $4. Now it's $5.75! They give you a larger popcorn but it just gets thrown out because it's too much. That's a huge increase for a few kernels of popcorn. Very disappointed. read more

I have watched Transformers the movie last night in the theater, the sound system was off, some of the speakers were not working so surround was strange, you don't hear all of the sounds. Other than that this is a nice movie theater. read more
