I'm not quite sure if this is supposed to be a restaurant with the option to play duck pins, or a place known for duck pins, but four lanes is not going to cut it, if they fill up even a quarter of the tables they have. Fortunately we had a small group, so one lane was sufficient. The group next to us utilized the other 3 lanes. Leaving no lanes left. I don't want to sound negative, we did have a blast, but we were very fortunate to come in right at opening time on a Saturday before it got busy. It was also, quite hard to eat on the little tables near the lanes, so I would advise grabbing a bigger table for food, along with a table near the lanes for just your drinks. The happy hour prices were pretty great! $5 a person to play a round of pins seemed reasonable, the drink options for myself didn't excite me, but my husband was happy to grab a few local brews from Frazier Creek! We tried the pretzel sticks and chips and guac. I would not get the guac again, I did like that it tasted fresh, without the preservative taste, but the chips...eek. The pretzel sticks I did not try, but my crew did enjoy them, along with their two dipping options! Which were a great deal on HH also! The option to play pool for free was great and the arcade was a nice extra touch for entertainment! We will be back to play pins!

We also ordered the happy hour pretzel and guac, which were both good and added to what started as a positive visit. When we arrived, I specifically asked about the bowling policy, including whether there were any limits on time or on the number of games we could play. I was told there were no limits and that we would simply pay per game. Our group of five played quickly, and our first game took less than 30 minutes. When the game ended, we asked to play a second game and were told we could not because someone was waiting. That was disappointing because it was different from what had been explained to us upfront. Had we been told that additional games depended on whether others were waiting, we would have understood and set expectations accordingly. We are reasonable, and we would have been fine limiting ourselves to two games out of consideration for other guests. The frustrating part is that because we arrived early and finished first, we ended up being the ones disadvantaged. Our kids spent the first game learning and were excited to play a second round. Meanwhile, guests who arrived after us appeared to have a better chance of playing longer simply because they were still in the middle of their first game. I would return because the place is nice, the food we had was good, and it has a lot of potential. The main issue was not the venue itself. It was the lack of clarity and consistency in how the policy was communicated and applied. Better staff training around lane policies and customer expectations would make a big difference.

Right off, a star is deducted for customer service - rather lack of. The staff that worked at the front counter when walking in never spoke to us, we spoke to them. We were confused how everything worked and they did not thoroughly explain anything to us. We put our name in for a table to be sat and waited about 20 minutes. We were sat and got the nicest server. I wish I remembered his name. He thoroughly explained the menu and food and game combos. I do have to say that I know the place is large and open concept but it was extremely difficult to talk and hear people at our own table while eating due to how loud it was. The food was good. I had 2 margaritas that were delicious. The spinach dip was a great starter. I had the chicken tenders, fries, and slaw. It was really good, hot, and crispy. My boyfriend enjoyed the chicken sandwich. As for the games, I had fun playing. Its was to use the cards because it is tap to play. I like that you can combine tickets with other cards to redeem items in the store. I got 2 squishy toys. The store also had terrible customer service with no one assisting or very friendly.

Their latest was the Pig Out…read moreGourmet Food Truck, where 10 food trucks gathered on the Resort's grounds for us to taste what they do best. We got there around noon, really hot day but so grateful it wasn't raining. If you got VIP tickets you were allowed in the Heineken tent with misters, and shade from the sun. Or, you could buy your way in for $15 extra. We didn't, instead after walking a bit, we found a table with a little shade and parked there. We just took turns going to the trucks and enjoyed a slight breeze from time to time. When you got in, they gave you a wrist band with detachable numbers. Each food truck was numbered to match those on the wristband. Very smart, to keep track of who had tasted their food already. The lines were very organized, the tickets were collected by JROTC members who were all very polite. Everyone working the food trucks was very friendly and, for the most part, we're very quick to serve the food. Here's what we had: Truck 1 - IL Florentino Small Potatoes Gnocchetti with traditional Italian Bolognese Sauce. I love gnocchi so was very happy with this one, off to a good start! I give this one a Bronze medal (as in Third Place). Why bronze, because I did not love the Bolognese sauce. Truck 2 - Flour Power BBQ Pulled pork sandwich. The pork was supposedly slow roasted in dark beer with onions and garlic but unfortunately their meet was bland and flavorless. Truck 3 - Crazydilla Cubadilla - it's like a Cuban sandwich but in a crispy organic tortilla, with a mustard aioli drizzled on top. This was my favorite of the day! Gold Medal! It was exactly what a Cuban sandwich should be but replacement of the bread with the tortilla made it a bit lighter which I liked a lot. Truck 4 - Philly Grill Philly Cheesetake. The bread was the only good thing about this one. The meat had no flavor, almost no cheese on mine, and the peppers were too sweet, which was the only thing I tasted in each bite. Truck 5 - Inspir-Asian Gluten free chicken, glazed with sweet chili sauce, jasmin rice, and broccoli florets. This got the Silver Medal. Even though the rice had very little flavor, the chicken was delicious and I loved the fact that they added the freshness of the broccoli, helping break out all the heavy food we had yet to try. Plus they had the prettiest presentation of all. Truck 6 - Burger Shack Burger topped with smoked bacon, onions, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, to ago, guacamole, jalapeño, and chipotle mayo. We had to wait 30 minutes for this one... I appreciate the "made to order" but when we took a bite we were all dissapointed. There was no guacamole, no heat, and some of the burgers were overcooked and dry. Truck 7 - Lobsta Rollin This was a no show so, really only 9 trucks... That's what we thought until one of the event employees told us about 3 other food trucks, we could try without the numbers. Good job to the PGA and the vent staff for compensating for this one not showing up, and good job for them advertising it everyone. Truck 8 - Mojo on the Go Pork Tacos topped with BBQ sauce and chipotle slaw. This was good. Meat was very well seasoned, tender but next time I will ask for less BBQ sauce. It was too much and it overpowered the taste of the already beautifully cooked meat. Truck 9 - international Classic Cuisine Gravlax Bouchée - Norwegian cured salmon with cream cheese, capers & dill, in a a baked puff pastry. Presentation was very nice but they went overboard with the dill. It was overwhelming and made it almost impossible to enjoy the dish. Truck 10 - Slow Food Truck Braised short beef rib pulled off the bone with grilled queso fresco, topped with fresh (Florida) Arugula and crispy shallots, on a potato roll. This one shares the Bronze Medal with IL Florentino. The queso Fresco and Arugula work magic on this sandwich. Plus the fact that the meat is so tender wins them points. As I said, we did not buy the extra tickets for the Heineken tent but were able to buy beer, wine, and/ or water from another tent. And once we were done we got to look at the cars on display... A Bentley coupe (that is my "if you win the lotto" car, after a 1974 restored Karman Ghia), an Audi, and some other new and classics but, the one that really caught my attention was "Black Beauty", a 1966 Corvette... Beautiful! These events are a great way to spend the day with friends and/ of family and do something out of the ordinary, get away from the routine. I'll keep an eye for more.

All of the food I had was fantastic. When we got there around noon, it was starting to get hot and we were ready to chow down on some food. Thanks to Yelp and Blue for the tickets (YAY!). We stopped by to say hi to Ashley at the tent and we were off to start the adventure. There was a VIP tent for an additional charge that offered drinks, but we didn't go there. Our wristbands had detachable numbers for us to redeem at each food truck to get the food item we wanted. The numbers were collected by the JROTC members and it was very organized. Most of the trucks were quick to serve the food and the people working on those trucks were deserve a standing ovation for cooking for all of us in the scorching weather today. It was nice to sit down and eat the food in the shade while enjoying the breeze as well. Gotta love South Florida! Here were some of my favorites: Keurig - Strawberry pomegranate! The drinks kept me hydrated throughout the entire time. I probably would have passed out if it wasn't for them. BC Tacos - BBQ pulled pork taco topped with coleslaw and corn and the chicken ceasar taco. Che Grill - BBQ pork empanada and Choripan (Argentinean sausage sandwich) Cheesezilla - Steak and cheese sandwich and the classic grilled cheese with white and yellow American mac/cheese InspirAsian - Fierce Bulgogi Chicken (savory pan fried chicken breasts marinated with a Korean BBQ sauce on top of lettuce, cucumber, and carrots dressed with teriyaki sauce Parabas Grill - Green Chile Cheese Steak Tacos (thin sliced ribeye steak, caramelized onions, chiles, and white cheese The car show was neat. I'm not a big car freak, but it was pretty cool to see all the cars on display and to vote on the best custom car. The new black and red Corvette got my eyes and my vote. They even had a military helicopter to check out as well. I'm glad my husband and I was able to attend this event to pig out and to have a great time. Ah, we were about to burst on the way out and are still stuffed from all of the delicious comfort food. Hell yea!

The owner lady, Diane, was marvelous in telling us all about her clean farming methods, companion crop planting, good stewardship of the earth, how she came to have this 40 (?) acre farm. The tour was very interesting and tasty, as she let us try the different greens that are grown there. After the tour, we settled down for a delightful lunch prepared by the chef from a nearby restaurant named Ellies Cafe (?). Started with Butternut squash soup, which I am not usually a fan of any squash soups, but it was great, served with a freshly baked crouton. Then we had a chicken breast with a wonderful sauce, and a bean salad, broccolini salad that was superb, and a tossed mixed green salad with watermelon radish. It was all so good, that I had to clean my plate... absolutely had to. After that, we were treated to a dessert of a 2 layer cake made with fresh raspberries and strawberries and a whip cream like frosting. All the components of our lunch (except maybe the chicken, I think) were grown at KaiKai Farms. Before we left, we had a chance to purchase some fresh produce and local honey that they also have. I prepared the broccolini the next night and it was marvelous. The drive out to KaiKai is not too bad, I actually arrived there in less time than I thought. They have a farmers market every Saturday from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm. Definitely check out their website or facebook page as they have chef curated dinners (from local restaurants) scheduled that I am sure are well worth the drive. One cool thing I love that they do is include an info card next to the lesser known veggies, giving you flavor profiles and eating ideas... such a nice touch! There are also a few other vendors here: bread by Johnny features sourdough in many flavors and baguettes, a cheese woman who is so lovely, a spices/oils table, and a few other rotating vendors. The main focus at this market is absolutely the Kai-Kai veggies! This is designer produce at a very reasonable price. They accept cards and cash. It was a great one time experience but I probably would not go again. Check in went smoothly and as you are checking in, there were some appetizers being served, which were absolutely delicious. However, I do wish there were little picks or tongs to use to pick up the appetizers versus everyone using their hands. As you enter, there is salad and bread already at the table, which was good, you can't go wrong with that. Then you are given about 10 minutes to mingle and "interrogate" others at the start of the show. Which was a bit confusing at first because there were no instructions, no performance or anything to give us an inclination to what the crime we are solving might be, and many people were just shy about approaching others and talking. When people started talking, I also noticed it was one of those things where they weren't sure if they should answer truthfully or in character. That was really the only time guest were doing individual interrogations and interacting with others not at their table. Throughout the dinner, there were 3 Acts where different clues were presented. First, I would like to start off by saying all of the staff both actors and servers were great, very professional and nice. The actors were great however, the overall acts were a bit chaotic. There was an option to purchase a suspect package at an extra cost. Which would result in someone at your table being a part of the acts as a suspect. Which was a fun/funny experience. However, those portions seemed a lot like improv and had nothing to do with the actual scenario. The actors also tried to get the various guest involved by choosing individuals to complete reenactments and do task as a table (drawing a suspect, writing all the alias of the table members). Again these task, had nothing to do with the actual scenario and did not help with solving the crime. They felt more like time fillers. However, they did add some funny moments into the night. Okay, solving of the crime. Personally I was very lost. In order to solve the crime, you had to know/understand some specific pop culture references. Which I personally did not. So even with all the clues presented and the acts, I was very lost. The ages of the guest varied from teenagers to older adults. However, with a majority of the guest ranging from 50-70 years of age, so I understand the pop culture reference being older however, I think the overall show would be better if the references were more universally geared. Or if there were no pop culture references and all the facts needed were presented somehow. The food. Personally, I felt as if the portion sizes were good for the price and I left the show full. I personally liked that there were a variety of options available. They even had a vegetarian option which I was grateful for, however, no vegan options. The portion sizes for the vegetable lasagna were large, however, the food was served kind of cold. It still tasted good. But nothing amazing. Overall the decor was minimal. There was plain table cloth and table numbers at each table. One of the two detectives had a police vest on. I thought I read somewhere that there might be sound effects. However, the show didn't have any. The actors did not have any mics and there was no music or light effects. At the end of the show, if you wrote a Google review, you were given a free shot glass in exchange.

They were giving out free shotglasses to people who showed them a 5 star review on Google before they left the show. Nothing was fantastic here. It was subpar and mediocre. I definitely applaud the actors for their performances but majority of the show seemed like improv. It was interactive so they did mingle with the guests and put them on the spotlight but it was really dragged out. We weren't sure why. If it was due to matching up the timing of the kitchen and food or if it was because they needed to drag out the allotted 3 hours. There was really only one acting scene that lasted 2 minutes. There were no other acting! Wish I knew that prior to coming. It was hard to figure out who the killer was because they give you a 10 minute break in the beginning to mingle with everyone and interrogate people. This doesn't work well with majority of the audience who came here for entertainment. It seemed like people didn't want to approach strangers and just talk. I think the hosts tried their best with the jokes they could come up with that weren't scripted and it did make me laugh here and there. The food was not good. I enjoy a dinner being waited on but the food was obviously mass produced and very dry and luke warm. The dinner came with water or self serve coffee or ice tea. If you wanted a soda, it was an additional $5 at the bar. I would tell everyone to save yourself the high ticket price as the show I attended lost its audience attention not even halfway through. My guest and I are in our 30's but the elderly couple sitting next to us in their 60-70's also said they were disappointed It was cheesy but now that I did it, I can share wi.th someone else to not waste their money on it.
