We had great seats in the media/photography pit, my only complaint or advice would be to wear a wide brimmed hat and lots of sunscreen. Even in November, Florida is brutally hot. I did get really scared during the parts where the canons went off, I jumped every single time. My favorite part of the show was definitely the acrobatics show where the planes would dip, dive, corkscrew, and roll. I also liked seeing the helicopters dumping water in the simulated water drop to put out fires.

Nail polish, lipstick, eyeshadow and girls hair pins! I was informed that the boys insisted on doing this because they saw the girls and the teachers thought it was ok instead of guiding them to an appropriate activity. I never gave them consent for this and it was revolting for me to pick up my son and see him looking like a 6 year old little girl. When we got back home he said mommy I want to be a girl!! I'm horrified with this situation!

Lily Loveland and Steven Melendez dance so seamlessly together (once again!. I never tire of their performances and this was no exception. I also loved Madeline Miller and Tyveze Littlejohn together as "Arabia"; so fluid and sensual! As Eliza said in My Fair Lady, "I could have danced all night!!!", but in this case, I could have watched all night. Thank you, thank you for another extraordinary performance and experience. You exceeded all expectations and I'm so proud of YOU, our local ballet company. Bravo to all the dancers, crew and Miss Colleen.

This outdoor amphitheater has a 36' by 35' stage and the venue can accommodate up to 2,000 people. The lawn is on a hill that sloped down to the stage. Attendees were encouraged to being their own chairs and blankets for seating. The Seabreeze Amphitheater is the home of the summer performance of the Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare by the Sea. They are celebrating their 35th anniversary. This year's performance is The Winter's Tale. The festival is held over two weekends and there is one more performance tomorrow night at 8. Other performances that take place at this venue throughout the year include live bands, movies, and community fund raisers. The Palm Beach Shakespeare Company always does a great job and there was an amazing turnout this evening. Both the park and amphitheater are meticulously maintained. If there is a small drawback, the amphitheater is next to a body of water so it is a little buggy and of course you are at the mercy of the weather.

We found Stilt Circus through a friend who told us that they show up to drive-by birthday parties. Meaning, the kids drive-by in their car and Stilt Circus hands out little gift bags or provides a photo opportunity if kids want it. We provided the goody bags, they provided the fun! They were amazing from the moment I called until the time they left the drive-by. The best part of all was when they walked down my neighborhood street toward my house right before the drive-by. The neighbors went crazy! Don't hesitate to call them. They will make any drive by birthday special.

I was melting as soon as I got out of the car... thankfully the event was well organized and the "check-in" was a breeze. We got our tickets at the "will call" tent and in less than 2 minutes we were in. Immediately greeted with our tasking beer mug to quench the thirst. Tents were labeled clearly, including Yelp, first in line, helping welcome everyone. They had some tents for crafts, jewelry, and clothing vendors, as well as some wine, vodka, and tequila brands. The breweries' tents each had at least 2 different beers from their line for us to taste. Everyone was very friendly, explaining the differences between the beers they were offering, and some even took the time to learn a little about your beer taste to make recommendations. Was surprised how even being so hot outside, they managed to maintain the beers cold which was so much appreciated and so refreshing. Plus the amount of beer served was great, not that sip you usually get at some other tasting events, and if you liked it, you could come back for more. I'm not too familiar with beer, just recently I started enjoying drinking it at social gatherings or with friends so I love these types of events to help me learn more and have more options for what to bring to a party or serve my friends when entertaining. Obviously I was able to find some I liked here. Between all my tastings here's the ones I'll be adding to my "Beer List": Rooney's Old Irish Ale Widmer Brothers Brewing Alchemy Ale Coronado Brewing Company Idiot IPA (must admit I tried this one for the name) :p Breckenridge Brewery SummerBright Know Breing Wilua Ale I loved that they had a selection of local beers on tap like Holy Mackerel, The Native, TBC and more. Now, this was also a Burger event so of course we tried those too. I don't know how many there were to try but I do remember my favorite ones. Chuck, in my opinion, definitely wins the "Best Burger" title. That burger was perfection. Classic, juicy, flavorful, comforting... Not surprised at all they got the "King of all Burgers" title last year. My "Best Alternative" went to Cha Cha's with their slider Kale & quinoa burger with humus on whole wheat. My last award, the "Most Innovative Burger" went to Vic & Angelo's Saltimbocca Burger. This was a sage infused burger with black garlic aioli, sun-dried tomato marmalade, prosciutto di parma, gorgonzola dolce and baby spinach. All I can say is I want more!! Absolutely amazing that burger... Other two worth mentioning were the ones from III Forks and Four Seasons. This was their Second year doing this event and, by what I experienced, I'd say (and hope) they have many more years to come. It was an excellent event, fun, delicious, and great way to promote their businesses. Making a note to lookout for next year's dates.

We arrived at PGA National and walked into the lobby, there were no signs showing where Beerfest was actually being held. Myself, my husband and a few groups of other people walked straight to where a wedding was taking place. We finally found someone who could direct us on where to go. The check in lines were long and confusing. We went into the first room, it was full, but not quite wall to wall, yet. We got into the bigger ballroom, it was packed, you couldn't move, you had to wait in line for most beers. A lot of the vendors were giving out warm beer and cider because they couldn't keep up with the demand. I was so looking forward to food, and I was hugely disappointed, there was only 2 food stations (that I saw) both had lines wrapping around the room, no thanks. We did get to try some good beers and ciders, but overall it was a terrible experience just due to the amount of people that attended. Next year they need to either hold it in a larger area or not sell so many tickets.

The fair is located on Dixie Hwy across from Peninsula Coffee and Chuckles along the rail road tracks. It runs from Bridge Road to Venus Street, Admission is free but they were collecting donations to fund local programs. The event is hosted by the Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce and produced by Howard Alan Events. You can catch a free shuttle bus at the Pine School but I was able to find parking close to the festival on the side of Dixie Hwy. The art for sale included sculpture, paintings, artisan jewelry, photographs, ceramics, wood, metal, and textiles. All of the artists are available to discuss their work. The festival also had food and drink vendors and other people selling plants and flea market items. The Chamber of Commerce was selling festival T-shirts. I saw earrings as inexpensive as $5 to large scale sculptures that were many thousands of dollars. Of course I love anything with mermaids, sea turtles, and flamingoes. The art definitely leaned toward the tropical here. There was a lot of beautiful jewelry that caught my eye as did the carved birds and purses made from book covers. I really liked how there was a variety of items to choose from. This is a dog friendly event and well behaved leashed dogs are welcome. Aside from looking at the art, dog watching at art festivals is my second favorite activity. The weather was beautiful and it was so nice to enjoy the festival and fresh air.
